Galactic Illusionary Gaming would like to welcome all our players and fans back to our preview series for the next expansion of Age of Chaos: Clans of the Resol'nare. The Mandalorians, whether in the form of the United Clans, the Empire, or the Enclave have been a major force in the galaxy since the end of the Gulag Virus. With such an impact, the company felt it was only fitting to create an entire set dedicated to the legendary armored warriors.

In this first preview, the company is introducing a brand-new game mechanic that is only fitting for a set dedicated to the Mandalorians and the company felt it was only fitting that the reintroduction of Planeswalker cards, after their exclusion from Light of Ashla and Darkness of Bogan, be used to implement this new mechanic. The Planeswalkers included in this set are all past leaders of the Mandalorians or are considered some of their most infamous individuals, and without further ado, we would like to show these new cards:

Introduced in this set is the new Mand'alor mechanic. This mechanic allows a player to place a Mandalorian Planeswalker card into the Mand'alor slot and give bonuses to all Mandalorian cards they control. However, your opponent can also place a card into their Mand'alor slot, and if you both control one, it creates a Challenge for the Helm. In a Challenge for the Helm, the two Planeswalkers battle as though they are Being cards, using their Loyalty counters as their Attack and Defense values. When a Planeswalker takes damage in this way, they lose those Loyalty counters and do not regain them at the end of the turn like a card that normally battles and survives. When a Planeswalker card is reduced to 0 Loyalty in this Challenge, they are destroyed, and the losing player cannot place another card into their Mand'alor slot until their opponent's Planeswalker is destroyed.

In our next preview, we will reveal more information on the new Keywords depicted on cards represented by five Great Clans of the modern era and the Enclave Mandalorians.
