SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Pulse Weapon Technology (Link): A pulse cannon was a powerful rapid fire weapon that fired a concentrated bolt of fusion plasma, generally in the form of an incredibly fast moving small orb of blue or purple light. Generally not used by military forces due to their destructive nature, a pulse cannon inflicted extreme pain on its victim, quickly causing death as the extreme heat of the bolt burned through it's victim. Due to the above average speed of the bolts, and the rate at which they could be discharged from a weapon, pulse cannons were often used to take out groups of stationary or fast moving targets. Naturally, this particular weapon varies from the more commonly known Pulse Cannon. The Banshee utilizes a weaker form of fusion plasma in order to speed up the generation process and therefore provide a higher rate of fire at the cost of stopping power and strength of each plasma bolt, equalizing it to that of a typical assault rifle rather than the power of a God in one's hands.

Strengths & Weaknesses:
+Hot Damn!: The perfect blend of burning through your enemies with fusion plasma with the rate of fire, ammunition capacity and range of a typical assault rifle. It's not as strong as one typically expects with Pulse weaponry but when it come to it? It gets the job done.

+Quick on the Draw: The power cell chamber is located behind a easy to reach release switch, making reloading as easy as pop, drop, load and lock.

-Fast Burner: To be entirely truthful? To use the Mark I IAW is to run out of ammunition extremely quick, with the reduced generation time the plasma needs. With an ammunition capacity of just 30 rounds, reloads will be often.

-You shall not pass: Not being a kinetic weapon, like a slug-thrower, the Banshee is unable to pass shields without some heavy focused fire.

-Limited Adaptability: Unlike some weapons, the Banshee is crafted in such a manner that trying to customize or modify the internal components is nigh impossible. The base factory model is how it comes, like it or not.

Description: The Banshee IAW is a weapon designed to be a fearsome weapon on the battlefield, thanks for its rather sadistic way of maiming; which entails extreme pain by the bolt burning through their victim. The Banshee in particular is crafted to be a weapons platform designed for easy operation without drawing back further on the already cut capabilities of the weapon's ammunition type. The weapon itself works perfectly against armored and non-armored enemies, though will find itself reduced to a crawl when facing vehicles with armor or shield technology. The casing has also been designed with balance in mind; whilst being average in size and weight, the internal components provide the capacity of a low recoil thanks to the heavily reduced power requirement of each individual shot of Fusion Plasma. Reloading has also been made extremely simple, thanks to the fact that the release and loading mechanism are stored at the back of the rifle, operable by a simple switch to release the Power Cell to be replaced. This is a double-edged sword, however, thanks to the ease of the design, it's relatively simple for someone to pick it up and learn how to use and reload the weapon without it being a complicated process.
