Strengths:
- Mask - the overall outfit isn't all that impressive, however the mask is where it shines. The mask features built-in thermal and night vision in the event that lights go out or a living being needs to be located. To protect that tech from being destroyed and to protect his head as well, Zhin made sure to include a shell with great resistance to a lightsabers(since he is a force user) and blasters bolts.
- Cape - Zhin always felt like his back was the most vulnerable spot on his body so he made a cape that could do what he desired. The entire cape is made of armorweave ensuring he is protected at least a little when an unexpected strike comes.
- Rebreather - there were times in his past when breathing became hard to do... in response to that he added a rebreather to the mask in case he finds himself stuck in water or space.
- Torso, Arms, Legs - the cape and mask help protect his head and from behind, but his other body parts aren't so lucky.
- Tech - while the thermal and other tech have their benefits, EMP's can definitely shut it down. Without this tech in some situations Zhin will be forced to rely on his natural senses.
When Zhin received a very heavy beatdown from a sith during an inexperienced time, inspiring this piece of armor to be made. His abilities were not good enough at the time and the only way to make up for that was to wear protection. He started thinking of a type of light armor that would suit him and this was what he came up with.
As an Ataru user he wished to build light armor so he could still use the lightsaber how he was trained, instead of heavy armor which would hinder that otherwise. The design he had in mind was standard robes, tunic, and so on with the exception that he wore a mask too. It could barely be considered armor at all really... but the mask was made of Phrik - a powerful metal that'd prove to be useful in future battles. Next, he worked on the cloak. That didn't take much time as he had previous experience with those before and knew exactly what to use. Armorweave for a cape - and with that it was complete. Of course the next part was working on constructing the armor.
For the mask he had to request help from his teacher once he'd acquired the material. Zhin knew nothing about the metalworking, alchemy, etc. It was natural that he'd need help on this part. Due to his location he was limited on who he could ask, the only one in his grasp being his master. To make the cape he enlisted the help of an old friend. The cloak didn't take as much time as the mask. After a month he'd completed the full construction.
With the completion of the armor, Zhin now spent time getting comfortable in his new armor. He wore and still wears it when going into battle. That's why he made it after all.
