Zhee Uonka was born on Denon, an ecumenopolis planet known for its bustling industry and urbanization. Their parents were highly respected physicians who were employed by one of the many megacorporations that dominated Denon's economy.
Growing up, Zhee was exposed to the disparities and injustices of Denon's society, where the wealthy lived in luxurious skyscrapers while the poor struggled to survive in the city's underbelly. Despite this, Zhee's parents taught them to value compassion and the importance of helping others, and they often volunteered their medical services to the less fortunate.
However, tragedy struck when Zhee's parents were silenced by their employers. It was made to look like an industrial accident, but Zhee knew the truth. They were murdered for speaking out against the corporation's exploitation of their employees and the poor.
Devastated by their loss, Zhee was forced to survive on their own. With their parents' medical knowledge, Zhee began working as a medic in the city's slums, providing medical care to those who could not afford it. As they worked, they began to see the extent of the suffering that the megacorporations inflicted on the people of Denon.
Over time, Zhee came to identify as non-binary, finding that traditional gender roles and expectations did not align with their own sense of self. Despite the dangers of their work, Zhee continues to serve the people of Denon, using their skills as a medic to help those in need and to fight against the oppressive megacorporations that control their planet.
