STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+Weird: Zerka isn't so much a great fighter - for a Padawan - as she is a creative one. Between combining what little she knows and making use of her cartiligious skeleton, she's great at attacking from unexpected angles.
-Wild: While Zerka has always struggled to control her temper, it's recently gotten much harder for her considering the war coming to her home planet of Korriban. She isn't violent, but she's deeply unhappy and prone to verbally lashing out.
-Waif: Being rather short and light on her feet, even for her age, isn't always a disadvantage. But when you have a habit of picking fights and are pursuing a career that entails a lot of combat, having a tiny build and a rubber skeleton isn't great.
APPEARANCE:
A young woman with visibly dyed hair and ashen skin, Zerka is rarely seen sitting still. Even in meditation, she has issues maintaining stillness, something she's struggled with as a youngling and Padawan both. Typically, Zerka is cheerful and almost exuberant, she likes to speak loudly and gesture grandly to ensure that she's being understood, and her voice naturally carries quite well. Similarly, when she's upset, Zerka tends to carry her emotions openly and without guile - storming around, scowling, and lathering her words with sarcasm. While she's capable of the extended peaceful detachment expected of a nascent Jedi, Zerka is all but unable to hide it when she isn't capable of that zen-like state.
Light on her feet, Zerka prefers flowing, almost grand-looking clothes when she has a say, but is perfectly happy in plain Jedi robes. Her hair is visibly dyed, a compromise between her beliefs as a Jedi and her people's ancient traditions of marking themselves as a way of showing fealty and respect. This desire to mark and adorn herself usually extends to jewelry and sometimes makeup, though Zerka can't afford much of either. She prefers to be distinctive and individual in her adornment, regardless.
BIOGRAPHY:
A young woman from Korriban, Zerka was voluntarily surrendered to the Jedi by her parents as a toddler - at the time, the Sith held Korriban, and they had had enough of the Dark Side regime to seek another way for their girl. As such, Zerka was all but raised within the Jedi order, and has recently become old enough (and, mostly, Jedi enough) to become a Padawan learner. Or, at least, to seek out a Master who isn't too busy to have her. She'd been looking forward to being trusted enough to take a ship and go see her parents, but then some Jedi bombed the poodoo out of Korriban and now she's not so sure.
