Intent: To submit Zator Carr's lightclub
Development Thread: If Needed
Manufacturer: Zarot Carr
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Zarot Carr
Modularity: Yes, Crystals
Production: Unique
Material: Alusteel, Lightsaber components, 2x Lambent Crystals
Classification: Greatsaber
Size: One-Handed, Two-Handed
Length:
  • 1m (Hilt)
  • 1.8-2.5m (Blade)
Weight: 8kg
Special Features:
  • Hidden emitter: At the base of the hilt is a secondary emitter that is hidden from view to be used whenever Zarot wishes.
  • Dual-Phase: The lightsaber is built with a Dual-phase mechanism that allows the blades to shift lengths in an instant.
Strengths:
  • Dual-Phase Mechanism: With Dual Phase technology the weapon is perfect for surprise attacks as the blade will shift from its average two meters to four in an instant.
Weaknesses:
  • Size: As with all Greatsabers the weapon is incredibly large and takes much time and experience to wield effectively.
  • Hilt: Without any durable materials all it takes is a well placed lightsaber blow to destroy the saber.
  • Weight: Weighing more than the average lightsaber it can be unwieldy to some.
Description: After his departure of the Sith and his pilgrimage to find not only himself but the truth of the Force, Zarot created this weapon. It was to symbolize the new path that he had chosen. The hilt of the weapon had been the same he had used for many years, even during his training. Simply ditching the synthetic crystal provided by the Sith, Zarot decided to use two lambent crystals signifying his Vong heritage. However a basic lightclub had never been Zarot's idea of a good weapon. It was too straight forward, and in a galaxy with other Saber Wielders running rampant he needed to change the game up just a bit from the standard. At first the modifications started with a second emitter embedded in the base of the hilt and hidden from view. This was to better shock and surprise his opponents when it was activated, as far as Zarot knew there hadn't been many beings that wielded a lightclub, much less one with two emitters.

Eventually further modifications were made adding in a Dual Phase mechanism to add to the spontaneous nature of Zarot's style. With this the blades standard length of 1.8 meters would immediately extend to up to 2.5 meters or anywhere between. Of course this wasn't particularly necessary as all sabers have an adjust setting, but this allowed him to act instantaneously often catching others off guard. Another boon of the Dual-phase mechanism is that it not only effects the length but the width of the blade as well. While Lightclubs already had a wider blade than a base lightsaber the dual-phase mechanism made Zarot's slightly larger. Zarot typically employs the weapon with only one saber active at first getting a feel for his opponents and testing them. If he can beat his opponent without resorting to the second emitter or dual-phase abilities of the weapon he won't. Those times where he meets his match Zarot will employ the tool to its fullest capabilities using shock and awe techniques while adjusting the lengths of both his saber blades to further offset his opponents. One must realize however that utilizing both blades at the maximum lengths is near impossible if not completely impossible for just about anybody.

Let me make sure I've got this straight.

So with both emitters active and both set to dual-phase, this makes for a lightstaff over thirty feet long? For an eight-foot-tall humanoid?

Thank you for pointing that out, I honestly wouldn't have thought about it till you said something. Though both blades aren't meant to be used at their maximum lengths as it would be impossible for just about any being in the galaxy. More so to just extend one suddenly while someone is off guard. The second emitter probably won't even play that much of a role, more just a precautionary backup. I have added a line about that in the description along with editing the lengths down significantly.
