GENERAL INFORMATION

• Name: Unique individual, named "Zafira" which means "triumphant one" in Zabraki
• Designation: Semi-sentient
• Origins: Planet Omiddelon III - Altered in Diarchy Shadow Labratory on Taspir III - This particular individual was raised from an egg by the Sith acolyte Naamino Zuukamano . She is a mutated individual with only some characteristics of her progenitors, and possesses several adaptations unique to her.
• Average Lifespan: Unknown, estimate of 30 years
• Estimated Population: Unique
• Description: Four wickedly clawed legs, two strong leathery wings, and one snapping maw with razor sharp teeth. Zafira also has piercing, electric blue eyes that shine with an intelligence that surpasses many Sithspawn.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION

• Breathes: Type I, Type II and Type III
• Height at Adulthood: 3.5 meters (at the shoulder)
• Length at Adulthood: 9.2 meters (nose to tail tip)
• Wing Span At Adulthood: 22 meters
• Skin color: Black scales with dark blue hues and undertones
• Hair color: Hairless, Zafira has only spines and scales
• Distinctions: She has electric blue eyes, a long snake-like tail, massive leathery wings, and four clawed limbs. Her hide is nearly as thick as a rancor's and it is covered in black scales. Her hind-legs are incredibly powerful, allowing her to leap into the air or to kick with devastating force. Zafira's front limbs have slightly more dexterous clawed hands that are capable of grappling. Her neck is long and armored and she has two sets of sharp horns that sweep back and up. Zafira's most notable distinctions are the ability to breathe blue lightning and to act in tandem with her bonded rider, Naamino Zuukamano

Strengths:

• Flight: Zafira is capable of becoming airborne at a moments notice and can reach speeds up to 50 miles per hour, perhaps a bit faster when bolstered by a Force wielding rider
• Claws & Teeth to Rend & Tear: The hallmarks of any apex predator, and taken to the extreme in this Sithspawn specimen. Zafira's teeth and claws can cut through durasteel with the same ease as a shifted Felacatian
• Clever Girl: Semi-sentient and more intelligent than your average beast, Zafira is capable of understanding military tactics, can take telepathic orders from her rider, and shows some advanced problem solving capabilities.
• Lightning Breath: Zafira can breathe columns of lightning which results in a secondary blast of thunder to the surrounding area. This breath weapon has a cooldown time and doesn't discriminate between friend or foe

Weaknesses:

• Gaps in Natural Armor: Though her armored hide is incredibly impressive, there are areas naturally more vulnerable to attack than others such as her armpits, eyes, and maw.
• A Will Her Own: Zafira is a loyal and fearsome companion, but she is still an individual with her own thoughts and feelings. She is susceptible to intimidation, distractions, or
• Force Light: as with many Sithspawn, extremely potent and concentrated exposure to light side energy can weaken and injure her horribly.

CULTURE

• Diet: Mostly carnivorous but thanks to her adar heritage, she can eat a wide array of materials in order to sustain herself. Unlike a true adar, she can't acclimate to eat anything however she can eat most biological materials and make do
• Communication: Growls, roars, and body language for communication with most. Telepathy is possible between Zafira and her bonded rider, as well as those few she has bonded with.
• Technology level: No understanding of technology
• Religion/Beliefs: Law of the jungle, although she has exhibited some altruistic behavior toward those she is bonded with
• General behavior: Like all natural or many preternatural creatures that have biological functions, Zafira seeks to meet her basic needs above all else. If those base biological requirements are met, she is capable of some philosophical thought and telepathic discussion with members of other species.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Though Adar originated on the planet of Omiddelon III, Zafira is far removed from those now distant progenitors. She is the product of an experimental clutch of eggs stumbled upon by Naamino as he worked with Diarch Rellik and Gavin Vel to clear threats from a large exploratorium where various creatures were being kept. After the group warded off dangers to the nesting mother, Naamino was granted his choice of egg.

These eggs were altered in the Diarchy Shadow Labratory on Taspir III and the teen zabrak raised the hatchling from the moment she imprinted on him. After war became imminent between the Diarchy and the Sith Order, Naamino secreted his sithspawn companion away. He has since been raising her in the cold, arid deserts and jagged mountains of Korriban. Zafira was first sustained with meals Naami could sneak away from the dining hall, and when that became insufficient, he began letting her loose upon the desert to hunt for herself.

It has not been easy for the young Sith to balance school work and military responsibilities while becoming a self taught dragon rider, but he was not without support. Naamino had much experience with mounted combat (and reasoning with clever sithspawn) thanks to his friend and mentor Myunnah. The zabrak eventually determined he needed to seek more official means of care for Zafira, so he registered her with the Kor'ethyr Academy beast master Zal Aditi and ensured that Elmindra Xitaar was aware of how useful the Sithspawn would be to him in his service to the First Lord.
