PERSONALITY: Yvaine will most always have an impact on her immediate surroundings--often literally; the best way to spot her in a large party is to look for the whirling eddy flitting about them as she moves from group to group. Laughing and [self-]entertaining with a blunt and nonsensical humor, despite contentment without notice, if Yvaine was to be in an environment of focused attention, she would prefer all of it be on her.
Hypotheses, abstract concepts, plodding discussions--particularly concerning mass-welfare or basically anyone but her--and their implications fail to keep Yvaine interested for long. This girl is one to keep her conversations energetic and rapid, with a good dose of intelligence--albeit in quite the broad sense. The favoured topic is more of what is as opposed to what could be--or better yet, to just go out and do it herself.
Granted, these conversations tend to move rapidly from one subject to another, frequently without much to bridge the two concepts aside from Yvaine's own broken train of thought. Those of the same litter leap without hesitation, eyes closed, and fix their mistakes as they go, rather than sitting idle while preparing contingencies and escape clauses. In layman terms, she acts before thinking; or, perhaps it's acting based on entirely incomprehensible, irrational thinking?
Yvaine is easily defined as the likeliest person to make a lifestyle of risky behavior. Living in the moment and diving into action, she is understandably the eye of the storm--or perhaps, the storm itself, with those she ensnares facing an inescapable barrier within the torrents. People with a personality akin enjoy drama, passion, and pleasure; and not for the stimulation given to their poorly computative minds, but to satisfy their greed, hunger, and lust, particularly in an emotional sense, as unstable as they are.
They are in no manner obligated to make critical decisions based on factual, immediate reality in a process of rapid-fire rational stimulus response, but entitled to commit actions based on thoughts which digress from common sense. This makes any strict, organised entity a difficult thing to join. It certainly isn't because she isn't smart, and if not for the lacking rationale to her, she could do well, but the regimented, lecturing approach of formal guidelines is just so far from the hands-on learning that Yvaine not only enjoys, but is accustomed to. It takes a great deal of maturity to see this process as a necessary means to an end, something that creates more exciting opportunities: a trait profusely lacked.
Another challenge Yvaine faces in terms of the psyche is the mindset in which it makes more sense to use her own moral compass--which is fairly nonexistent--than another's, causing her to lack traits concerning sympathy and empathy, or understanding of a situation or mood. Rules weren't made to be broken in her mind--they just didn't demand to be so strictly observed to begin with. This is a sentiment few others are likely to share, and can earn her a certain reputation. But if she minimises the trouble making--albeit unlikely--and harness her overbearing energy and focus through the boring stuff, in all sorts of manners one can consider Yvaine a force to be reckoned with, if not already.
HISTORY: With blood of an unknown--for good reason, presumably near-human--species from somewhere across the galaxy, the absent-minded Yvaine was found, ragged and at the time nine years old, on an undeveloped planet in the outer rim. As any seasoned traveller should know, besides the factor of being underdeveloped, such planets were avoided due to the likely heavy presence of outlaws. What better place to take refuge and establish a base other than a planet with a technology level too low to oppose you? Besides, typically these bases would be hidden away separate from the rest of the common civilisations, if only to evade authorial eyes in the skies.
That being said, for the young Yvaine, roaming around the jungles of one the planet, the only person for who to meet would generally either a stereotypical tribal, indigenous society, or one of those lawless mongrels. As one would expect, it was the latter. Found by a pirate, Yvaine was taken to the base to be a slave. Her absent-mindedness made her perfect to carry out menial tasks, and--fortunately for her--the tastes of these pirates were more mature than what her body offered.
Sooner after she was taken, more about the girl came to light, such as the root of her absent-mindedness: amnesia. For the time being, even her emotions seemed to be forgotten. She simply did as she was told for the first few months, though the pirates discovered even fecal matters and eating had to be ordered for her to do anything about them. At first, her absolute compliance was convenient, but the need to tell her almost every action before she acted easily annoyed them; her saving grace in this department was the uncanny level of strength she held, easily stronger than any other person on base. That alone, as well as her snow-white hair and red eyes, told the pirates she wasn't quite human. Not that they cared much--just a minor point of interest.
Perhaps it was the numerous people around, but over time Yvaine became more conscious, aware of her surroundings and moving out of people's way. Before, she simply bumped into them if they crossed her path, and generally no-one was strong enough to force her out of that path without command. Furthermore, she began to eat on her own, and take care of other bodily matters. At this point, her mental growth was of further interest to the pirates; they more or less treated her closer to a pet, and their favouritism to Yvaine over the other workers and slaves became apparent. Not that they could do much to express their dislike for the favourite slave.
More than just her mental development, Yvaine started to show some level of emotion, and even began talking with those around her. As time passed, she seemed more and more life-like, and this slow rate of immersion into the base's society improved the pirates and others' opinions of her, to the point that she wasn't exactly treated like a slave. In fact, at some point she was taken out of the base and on some excursions, treated more like an average crew mate. Some altogether forgot her initial status as a slave.
Yvaine's personality fully formed and solidified, known as a volatile and explosive girl, often acting without rhyme or reason. For those subject to her rampancy and, by extension her abnormal level of strength, they counted themselves struck by misfortune. To the onlookers, they laughed in amusement, cheering on as she flayed about with disregard for the opinions of others.
Soon enough, she was universally acknowledged as one of the pirates. Even the other slaves and workers knew this. Some cursed her name under their breaths, others tried to mimic her and get themselves recognised as a member of the crew themselves. A part of her new status was training, another point that solidified her rise. Putting aside her uncanny physique, Yvaine professed unprecedented talent in marksmanship among the groups. Unchallenged in close combat from her strength alone, and talented in firearms, Yvaine became the star fighter, often used to deter competitors in the region and extort money from civilisations across this planet in the next few. She was irreplaceable, capable of things no-one else around her was. Which made her rebellion all the more serious for them.
As aforementioned, some slaves attempted to mimic Yvaine, and to some extent, albeit at a far lesser extent, they were on the path to success. With Yvaine and a few slaves on board, a few of the pirates swung over to a planet infamous as a hub for illegal activities. Just bordering the further reaches of the base's zone of perception, Yvaine begun her mutiny. Storming through the rooms, one by one she took down the pirates, none of them silently. With a resounding bang from her preferred form of weaponry--ballistic firearms using physical projectiles--the entire crew was alerted of her actions, especially considering she was the only one on board that used physical projectiles.
The base was naturally contacted, and some even took a look at the onboard security systems, only to view a blood-splattered Yvaine holding her arms up in triumph and wide-grin.
"From here-on out, I commandeer this ship, and claim it property of a new pirate crew! I'll call it... Legion!"
The security systems continued to reveal Yvaine releasing the slaves' shackles and cuffs, asking them whether or not they'd want to join. After separating the three who joined, and the rest that would rather be set free, Yvaine literally threw the latter into space, or split them apart bare-handed.
"It's too troublesome to bring them to their homes, or back to the base, and they'd just be dead-weight. So~, I went ahead and discarded them. Any issues?"
Naturally, none of the three made a peep. Surprisingly, the three slaves, all older and larger than the barely five-foot Yvaine, were obedient not out of fear for the girl's ruthlessness, but admiration. And, on their future adventures together throughout the outer rim, this admiration transformed into utter loyalty. Their captain's goal in establishing a new Pirate group after stealing a ship from another?
"Well, it sounded fun. And, so far it's been just that, right?"
ABILITIES:
  • NATURAL CAPACITIES
Impeccable Strength Like any Alunrovaan, despite her small stature Yvaine possesses superhuman strength, that being one of her most astounding traits. From toes to jaw, every muscle fibre in her body is a cut above the rest, at least in terms of strength per unit volume. There are limits the Alua'an are subjected to when it comes to their strength, Yvaine included. Particularly against strength-reliant opponents of larger build, generally creatures, Yvaine won't be able to rely on overpowering the enemy. The larger their build, the more muscle and by extension strength they possess--against that sort of opponent, Yvaine will have to shift her reliance to the small build and impact her stature provides in tandem with her strength: namely, speed and agility. But putting that aside, there's still the factor of how much strength Yvaine can put into her small fists. That ratio of force to surface area alone allows the girl a heavy advantage, providing more impact in a punch than most any other opponent she may come to face. Targeting areas of weakness like joints with a pounding strong enough to crack the walls of some ships, or destroy blasters with her bare hands, it's difficult to offer resistance. At the very least, Yvaine's opponents might take solace in the strength of her flesh. While her muscles are thick and dense, Alua'an skin typically aren't so special. Attacking tough objects may not offer bruises, but cuts are easy. An open wound can easily be taken advantage of in all sorts of manners--haste may be necessary, though. Like the rest of them, Yvaine has a bit of an advantage when it comes to small wounds.

Enhanced Speed As aforementioned, Yvaine's muscular density includes the whole of her body. In terms of movement speed? On foot, she generally holds a major advantage. Dashing across landscapes are a matter of ease with her small build and powerful leg muscles. Furthermore, one thing that offers Yvaine an unmatchable advantage in close quarters combat is the individual speed of her limbs. Running around the enemy is dandy and all until they become accustomed to the speed your legs carry. It's a whole different ball game when their fists and kicks come at you with the same speed. Particularly when used in tandem with her strength, a Yvaine bursting forward is like a physical projectile in itself. Within seconds the girl can offer a barrage of tens of attacks; even with a pair of trained eyes, it'll be difficutly to cope.

Unfortunately, it's not as if Yvaine herself possesses superhuman perception. A drawback

Inner Durability To handle the overwhelming strength, and by extension weight, that her developed muscles provide, Yvaine's body holds astounding durability, particularly inward. As stated, Yvaine's skin is average and susceptible to rips and tears, whereas bruises are unlikely to occur. For example, in terms of arteries and veins, their thickness is higher than the norm to cope with a more rigorous cardiovascular system to supply necessary nutrients to her muscles. In terms of organs, since those within the rib-cage besides the heart and lungs are fairly average, protected by bones and without much stress considering the Alua'an lack of necessity in a diet. The heart and lungs however, both relied on heavily, they have particular strength, even moreso allowing for several advantages. While her weight is far higher due to muscular density, at the very least Yvaine possesses stronger lungs than the average, capable of sustaining herself whilst submerged for a few minutes longer than many other non-aquatic species, even without substantial training. Her bones themselves are really the most admirable part of her body. To endure that level of weight, even being slammed into by some vehicles may at most only serve to fracture the girl's bones.

Heal Rate The slight advantage aforementioned concerning Yvaine's ability to cope with small-scale wounds refers to the Alua'an rate of healing. Though on average not to the extent of regeneration,

  • FORCE CAPACITIES
  • MENTAL CAPACITIES
