Intent: To create a balanced counter to Ysalamiri use.

Name: Ysalamycota
Homeworld: Labs on Myrkr.
Other Locations: Other Labs
Classification: Fungus
Average Growth Cycle: The Ysalamycota begins life as a spore. The spore, if harvested, can survive for quite a while before needing to progress, but when it does find either an Olbio Tree or soil with the Olbio tree, or perhaps mulch made from Olbio tree fragments. Once the spore find a host they begin to expand into Mycelium, taking root in the ground/trees and feeding off of the Olbio Trees. After a period of around ten months a cap begins to form, finishing completion after about another two months. Once this is complete the cap forcibly ejects spores from the cap to be picked up by the wind and carried to a location to begin anew.
Viability: Spores can last for about six galactic standard months in a syringe. When kept in a cold moist environment spores can last for quite a while, with current estimations pegging them at around a year. The mycelium formed has no measure lifespan, but is estimated to be anywhere from fifty to a hundred galactic standard years. The cap itself only lasts long enough to eject and decomposes shortly afterwards.
Description: The Ysalamycota is a fungus genetically engineered by Miri Farms. It is designed for one purpose, to feed off of the Olbio Tree in a somewhat symbiotic relationship. While feeding off of the Olbio tree it also slightly changes the texture and make up of the tree, enough to where it changes the nutritional value of tree to the Ysalamiri, weakening their ability to negate the use of the Force until the field disappears entirely.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
+Able to quickly gain nourishment from Olbio Trees
+Able to slightly change the nutritional value of the Olbio Tree, making Ysalamiri gradually lose their ability to negate the use of the Force around them.
Weaknesses:
-Poor natural transmission ability. For whatever reason the Ysalamycota hasn’t taken to any insects as of yet, relying purely on spore transmissions flying through the air. This means that the Ysalamycota can only spread a few meters per lifecycle.
-The Ysalamycota is very flammable, vulnerable to high temperatures at all stages in it's life cycle.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Mia Monroe, back when she was less controversial amongst the Mandalorians, started a company called Miri Farms. Miri Farms was a company devoted to the research of, weaponization of, and profit from the various fauna of Myrkr, most notably the Ysalamiri and the Vornskyr. Profits were made by the sale of both creatures, while research of the Vornskyr lead to the creation of the Golka, a fast healing pack hunter with photo-kinetic cloacking ability that can form a Force Bond with a hunter. The study of the Ysalamiri and their Force-Negation Fields lead to the creation of The Bral, a beskar-plated stygium-cloak enabled tank that deploys a Force Negation field over a half-kilometer radius.
This was a wonderful invention, but after Ra left the Mandalorians lost purpose. So she planned, along with others, to nuke the planet of Mandalore. While planning this she realized that she may have to one day face against Mandalorians using Ysalamiri Nutrient frames in combat. Therefore she got a few loyal technicians in Miri Farms to work on a specialized product, a fungus that would target the Olbio Tree, the Ysalamiri’s only nutrient source. The fungus would feed off the Olbio Tree aggressively, changing the nutrition of the Ysalamiri to where it gradually stopped negating the use of the Force around it.
It took a lot of time and rigorous testing, but ultimately a viable product was made. While not especially transmittable on it’s own the spores of the Ysalamycota can be transmitted easily enough through things methods such as gas grenades, aerosol sprayers, or even as simply as spraying directly unto the intended target. No methods were found to give the Ysalamycota any special abilities that allow it to breach through air-tight containers, filtration systems, or scrubbers.
This process may take some time across larger trees and forests, but with a "tree" small enough for a single Ysalamiri, for example a Nutrient Frame, usually takes around five minutes, but can be as long as fifteen. This depends on the health of the tree, the health of the Ysalamiri, how many spores managed to attach to the tree, etc. This process, while not instantaneous, is quick enough to be manageable in combat but long enough to still be a hindrance. It is notable as well that is not an "on/off" switch for the Ysalamiri's negation field, but rather lowers the radius of the field over time. A normal Ysalamir might exert a 5 meter radius "Force negation" bubble, which might decrease in range by about a meter a minute under normal circumstances, or every three minutes under difficult circumstances.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
- Average height: Caps can grow to be up to 30 centimeters in height.
- Average length: Mycelium can grow to be twenty meters long underground.
- Color: White stalks. Caps are blue with white stripes on them.
- Nutritional Value: Ysalamycota nutritional enough to feed an “average” humanoid, but provide indigestion if not boiled.
- Distinctions: Ysalamycota are mushrooms that feed primarily off of the Olbio Tree, and other plants close to the Olbio species.
