You Never Forget your First Love

Chroma Zed

Taking a sip of her Caf Sophia took a deep breath. It had been a long time since she had seen Turin and she was nervous which was silly. Sophia met with the leaders of nations on a daily basis but here she was nervous for a get together with a friend. Sighing again she took another sip and shook her head.

She had been left in tears and broken hearted last time they met. This time she hoped that things would be different on both ends. She wanted to talk, catch up and leave on better terms. Even though she wasn't in love with him anymore Turin would always be special to her. He was her first love after all.

Sophia was sure he had heard all about what she had been doing on holonews or from the dreaded H network which liked to catch her with Josiah and than write some stupid headline which was 95 percent false. She was sure they would have something to say about this little get together as well. She wished they would just stay out of her personal affairs but apparently that was too much for them to handle.

While it was obvious to what she was up to it wasn't obvious as to what he had been up to. Sophia hoped he had been well.

Caf.

They always met like this, on some far off world in a tapcaf. Exhaling, he looked over his shoulder at the building. What did this meeting have in store for him? Of course, he had left her with nearly no explanation...But he had done it out of fear, fear of what he could bring to her life, fear of a new empire, and he had done it slightly out of anger as well. At the time the CIS was publicly allied with the Sith, and Turin...Well he wasn't too fond of them after what they had did to Sophia and his career. However, due to Turin's isolation at the Conclave, he had not seen anything about Sophia in the news at all.

He still loved her, and he hoped the same was true of her. Turning now he walked an entered the tapcaf, spotting Sophia almost immediatley...Though not by sight. Her Force presence was more pronounced than it ever had been before...Curious, had she started training? It was the only possibility. Turning in her direction he smiled, and made his way there, taking a seat. "Sophia." his voice was soft, tired, yet strong and joyous.

A huge smile appeared on her face as she saw Turin and her nerves faded away. It was wonderful to see him again, it had been such a long time and she missed him. She had before invited him here to live under her protection as Viceroy however he had declined. Sophia to this day couldn't understand why all that had happen but it didn't matter anymore. She was just glad that he had come today. "Turin," she smiled jumping up from her seat she couldn't help but give him a hug even if he was sitting down before returning to her own seat.

There were so many questions, so many things to say that Sophia wasn't even sure where she ought to begin. She didn't even know if he had time or even would want to hear it all. She had cleared her schedule the rest of the afternoon for this visit incase he wanted her to show him around or something. "Can I get you something to drink? Marice makes the best Caf around." She paused taking a sip of her own. She wasn't lying, it was pretty good and even though she had her own espresso machine she enjoyed coming here and mingling with the citizens. "How have you been? How are things?"

He returned the hug, tight and loving, before taking a seat across from her. He nodded at the question of caf. "That would be great, what's good?" The small talk was good, it was nice to have an actual conversation with someone after isolating himself for so long. He knew that she probably had many questions for him, but if he, if they could stay away from those demons...Well he would be grateful for the time he could spend with the woman he loved.
