You Can't Hide From Me

Tatooine

One of the most interesting and popular planets out of thousands of others. Here was the fortress of the once powerful Jabba the Hutt that fell to his death after the Rebel Alliance successfully rescued Han Solo. But Tatooine wasn't just known for those two historical facts; here was the headquarters of one of the most successful corporations in Vilaz's time Acreneau Trading Company which was managed by none other than Danger Acreneau. However, those facts didn't attracted the Redneck to the desert planet of Tatooine. He was here for one reason: information. It was just recently that there was a massacre performed by a man named Cloudburner, a man that he had encountered on during the invasion of Roche. And that, obviously, led to a bounty on the assailant and the digits were enough to convince the Bounty Hunter to go out and hunt down this man. Yes, he was already rich after training a whole clone army but this was a profession his enjoyed doing. This is what he made a living out of and, besides, he wanted to be a fame Bounty Hunter just like Boba Fett and Jango Fett.

Arriving at the scene of crime the Field Marshal walked through the streets with his aliit'buir, [member=Darth Vulkan], trying to find the perfect victim to interrogate information about Cloudburner.

"Who's gonna be the lucky one today, vod?"

Vulkan didn't care much about money, and Cloudburner was insignificant in the grand scheme of things. He wanted to send a number of messages in one fell swoop, and this was the most fun way he could think of. Following his two week sabbatical, Vulkan had a decent tan, his muscles were relaxed, and he didn't have any aches or pains from any injuries anymore. He was also very content, but anxious to start hurting people again.

"Not Cloudburner. Start with the bar tender, I'll see if there is any security camera footage we can compare to what you got from your helmet. We need to get his biometrics so we can track him using that data." Things like height, estimated weight, arm length, foot size, leg length, neck diameter. Even wearing a helmet, there was only so much you could hide, and that data could be useful for taking the next step in any investigation.

Leaving his vod to speak with the bartender, Vulkan moved to the back, to the owner of the Iconic cantina. "Sir, do you have any active cameras in this establishment," Vulkan used the Force to ensure compliance of the owner. "I'd like a copy of all footage of the incident if you would be so kind."

Vilaz could only nod to the words of Draco and went on his separate way to see what luck he had with the bartender. He had to be sure that it was the same bartender that witnessed the shootout caused by Cloudburner. Everyone had a shift and it'd be unfortunate that the two Mandalorians arrived at the right place, but at the wrong time for information. He made his way by pushing and shoving some of the patrons that seemed scared and worried of who made physical contact with them. He could blame them if they were perking up their senses so they wouldn't fall as a victim to another murderer like Cloudburner. Luckily, for Vilaz, he had his personal beskar'gam on which had many layers of protection against all kinds of harm.

Once he arrived at the center of the cantina where the bartender stood in position, serving the patrons their orders, he sat down on a vacant seat and whistled for the bartender. Heeding his call a Rodian greeted the Warrior and asked him of what he desired.

"Give me two Corellian Ales, and some information of that di'kut that shot up the whole place. If you give me what I want I'll give you one handsome tip," he said to the Rodian. The bartender took some seconds from his hesitation before he went to get Vilaz's drinks and began filling him in of what he saw.

What did you know? They arrived at the right time at the right place.

The owner in the back wasn't exactly willing to say no to the imposing Mandalorian Sith Lord, and retired Foreman of the Techno Union with a plethora of contacts and influence. For Vulkan, one murder wasn't anything to shed a tear over. He would be surprised if Lucien bothered to look into him slaying a handful of people, much less arrest him. But for a Republic Military unit attacking a simple Cantina, they were missing something here and Vulkan would find it. "I have one camera that covers the bar. Its an older model, but the footage isn't terrible."

"I'll take it, is there somewhere I can review them here?" Vulkan asked, the red visor glaring down at the man. In the back he could hear Dario pushing the bartender for information. Good. They could mop up here and move on to the next lead in the trail soon.

"Yeah, in my office. Make yourself comfortable." The heavy set man lead Vulkan to a small room in the back with a few monitors and a dataterminal. A crappy data terminal at that, but it had HoloNet access nonetheless. Vulkan began viewing the tapes, taking notes through the Audio recorder in his helmet, using it like a journal to keep track of all the information from the shootout with Techno Union forces. The Four Oh Fifth from the Republic. That was the key to finding Cloudburner. Where they were, he could soon be found. Just needed to figure out where they were being deployed to and how to intercept them. Plus, they needed to close in on Cloudburner's identity. One Million plus credits was nothing, but half of that could buy Seela a nice piece of jewelry and some new clothes.

"Alright, Mandalorian, I'll tell ya everything I know," the Rodian began sounding as if he was making Vilaz a favor, but in truth he'd be doing himself a favor because if he didn't give what the Bounty Hunter wanted, then the bartender would suffer a fate worse than witnessing the shootout. "The guy was part of the damned Republic military with some men of his called the 405th guard. He was after some gal with plans to some space station weapon that he needed for the white knights of the Republic." They were getting somewhere now. The unit under Cloudburner's command could lead him to the man, and possibly the girl he was after. "Anything else I should know," he asked again. "Yeah, some forces of the Techno Union came in and killed some of the men of Cloudburner. You could ask them for more information on this matter. What I just told you is all I know and that's it."

The Redneck nodded at the man, gave him a tip of one thousand credits, and moved along with both of the Corellian Ales in his two hands. He hoped Draco got more information than he did of the target they were pursuing.

Vulkan finished perusing the limited footage of the security holocameras, he finished with his audio notes and shut off the projector. A few taps on the keyboard and a copy transmitted into his helmet. Time to check some open source information to trace the unit, maybe get their normal station or a unit roster. "Alright, thanks for the help." Vulkan left the back rooms and moved to link back up with Vilaz.

"Alright Vod, the Union officer who responded was [member="Freanne"] . I've worked with her before a while back when I was with the Union's military. We can give her a call and see if she knows anything more than these folks do." He tapped out a quick text to the woman, <Investigating the Mos Esiley Incident you were in. Can you meet us on Bothawui and swap any information you have.>

"Come on. Let's hit Bothawui and make some calls. If you have anyone in the Republic that can look up Military info that would be pretty useful for us."

Freanne was at her desk filling in the report on the Mos Esiley incident, she found it personally upsetting, she had lost a couple friends that day. She vowed revenge, on the 405th republic ranger unit, and their leader cloudburner. She had cried when at funeral two days ago, and hr and the rest of her company of desert rats got very drunk. As she got her file together, so she could travel to republic space and present the evidence to them she got a text from one higher ups in the union, Draco Vereen. She read the text she figured she would go and meet him at Bothawui first, then travel on to the republic. She was not lawyer, she was not even the sheriff, as republic solider killed him, fortunately he did not shoot the deputy.

She got on to her transport, and sent message to the Draco, she would meet on route, and would be happy to do anything that brought tis man to justice.

As he met up with Draco the Field Marshal offered him one of the two ales he had purchased and said, "All on me," before raising up his glass in the air and drank his liquor. He then heard the information that Draco acquired regarding of the person responsible of this shootout. Vilaz could only nod to the words of his aliit'buir and noticed they gathered similar pieces of evidence. "Yeah, I got something like that too. Apparently, there was a pirate involved as the victim who had some plans for a space station which was what the guy was after for. Same with the Union Officers interfering with the prick and his men, and the guy is affiliated with some 405th guard which is part of the Republic military."

They began to walk out of the cantina and head to their transportation shuttle which would take them to Bothawui. "Imma see if I got some contacts that can fill me in about the Republic. Pretty sure I'll find plenty now that it's all karked up and make 'em sing with some money." And it was true; with the state of the Republic politicians and officers would give anything as long as there was credits involved.

"Thanks." He said, waving off the glass, "But no thanks. We've got a couple of leads to follow. I'm gonna go talk with the TU officer involved. What we need you to do is see if you can get access to unit rosters of this four oh fifth. Figure out where they are stationed and who is in command. We don't know this Cloudburner's real identity yet, and we could really use that for this mission. It will make him a lot easier to track down." Vulkan looked at his chrono, he had to hurry. "Call Faith or something. Maybe she can help us out. I'm making a call, you should to."

All they needed to know was where the kid was, then they could handle the rest in a hurry. He was just a kid that needed breaking, the bait for a bigger fish, but he needed to be caught before they could throw him back out on the line.

He left the bar shortly there after, pulling up the comm channel for [member="Freanne"] again. "Hey, this is Draco," He scowled at using his old name, "You don't have to worry about meeting me at Bothawui. I just need to know if you know the whereabouts of this Cloudburner guy. We are after him, and could use the info to draw a lead on his location."

She got draco message, and she quickly replied No I don't know where he is, however if I do get any information I shall pass it on to you sir. All I know is he was or is part of te 405th republic rangers. I am on route to republic to issue an arrest warrant, I suspect they will not give him up to us. Though if I do find anything out, I will happily pass it straight to you sir, he killed my friends in cold blood. She was upset that bit, and never thought the republic would stoop so low as to use terrorist tactics. She also new if they did not help her, she was going to see how they liked it. Her and some of the desert rats, where thinking of having a shooting contest in republic space, as a bit of tit for tat.

"More for me," and began drinking Draco's Corellian Ale that he bought. He listened to the words of Draco carefully and there was nothing that he could add on to his sentences. All Vilaz knew was that they both had similar information regarding of Cloudburner, and nothing more. He nodded and then said, "Aye, vod, once we get to Bothawui I'll send out some calls and hope we can get somewhere with what we have. If they don't talk, then I'll make sure they'll see me with my scattergun pointing at their head."

With that they boarded the shuttle and left the eternal sandy desert of Tatooine and headed off to Bothawui to continue their search of the mysterious Cloudburner.
