PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Ydris’ greatest desires in life are to be useful, and to kill.
She takes her training very seriously (her upbringing required nothing less), and when given a task, will pursue it with dogged determination even to the detriment of her physical health.
STRENGTHS
Saberstaff Prodigy: Ydris fights with her chosen weapon as if it is an extension of her body, having trained in its use from a young age. Her aggressive style and quick, fluid movements often overwhelm and eliminate foes within the first few moments of combat.
Born to Kill: Ydris is driven by a constant desire to prove herself, wishing to slay her foes and feel the high of touching the essence of a being whose Force signature is leaving this mortal coil.
WEAKNESSES
Amateurish Machinations: Ydris’ life has followed a path of rigid rules and clear chains of command. She lacks much of the ruthless cunning expected of a Sith, and instead wishes only to be used as a tool in the service of the Empire as a whole.
Indoor Kid: Ydris grew up cloistered within the walls of the Darth’s compound, and then served several years upon a ship. She is unfamiliar with being out of doors planetside, and is extremely disconnected from the natural world. If forced into the wilderness for any reason, she may struggle to succeed or cope.
HISTORY
Born on Jutrand to two particularly forgettable factory workers, Ydris’ potential in the Force was discovered early, while she was enrolled in State-sponsored daycare. As was written in the fine print, any enrolled child would be removed from the custody of their parents immediately upon discovery of any magnitude of Force sensitivity and placed under the supervision of a Lord or Darth, so the young girl’s life followed. By the age of five, she had been whisked away to the estate of an enterprising Darth to take place in a Pilot Program designed to forge a powerful new generation of Sith ripe for participating in the conquest of the Galaxy.
Initially consisting of 50 young boys and girls, by the time the children were ready to “graduate“ a decade later, the number of surviving participants had fallen to less than half that. On the final day of training, that number would be halved again: in order to graduate from the Pilot Program and claim their place as a Sith Acolyte in full, each hopeful would have to slay one of their fellow trainees. Ydris did not hesitate for even a second, eliminating her target with ease and having to be held back from slaughtering more and stealing the kills of several of her peers.
After graduation, Ydris was sent to serve as the personal attack dog of one of her ‘sponsor’s’ Apprentices. The man was stationed on one of the largest ships in the Imperial Fleet, but left much to be desired in the way of brains. Ydris’ duties mostly consisted of helping her ‘mentor’ posture in the face of experienced Moffs and Admirals, and hunting down and slaughtering alleged spies and traitors.
However, in recent weeks, Ydris’ carefully railroaded life has been thrown completely off-course. The Darth who raised her had been disgraced and slain, and his Apprentices scattered to the winds. Now left adrift, Ydris searches for a cause or goal to dedicate her blade to in order to find purpose in service once more.
