Tactical Swordsmanship: Yanai has patience and defensive precision allowing her to outlast more aggressive foes. Extensive time training from a young age she has strictly studied and can apply multiple styles. She highly specializes in two, Form III & Form V (Shien).
Defensive/Support Specialist: Dedication of the defense of the weak and allies has found its way deep in her philosophy. Yanai has carefully studied the use of defensive saber techniques as well as applying the Lightside for defensive purposes. Her training has afforded her a strong mental fortitude that enables her to stay focused and undistracted.
WEAKNESSES
Lacking Aggression: Yanai has a reluctance to strike first, potentially leaving her with a tactical advantage. While she can integrate acrobatic movements, she lacks the explosive offensive capabilities of more aggressive styles. Those who typically integrate brute force in their forms can test or ability in outlasting her opponent. Her force abilities are mostly defensive in nature and her use of offensive force powers can be lacking.
Limited Battle Mediation: Her influence typically can subtly bolster allies’ more, focus, and cohesion on a smaller scale. Large scale influence over armies falls short in her ability to support others in such a way.
HISTORY
Born amidst the storm-wracked jungles of Korun, Yanai Miratm was raised in a culture forged by survival and spiritual strength. Her people lived in tight-knit tribes, deeply attuned to the living spirits of the jungle—an ancient belief system that revered the Force not as a weapon or a code, but as a natural, breathing presence woven into all things. From a young age, Yanai exhibited unusual sensitivity to the force, able to sense shifts in the jungle’s rhythms long before others.
Yanai would find herself deep in the woods after a confrontation with her parents. An event that would leave the young girl weathering the dangerous jungle alone. Eventually, she would find one that would claim to train her in her new abilities. A rugged Korunnai like one from her family. The man would take her in and train her for a number of years. A mercenary whom she thought was from a distant tribe would eventually hunt down the would be force user for reasons unknown to her.
She would find herself waking up to her “master’s” imprisoned with a massive headache. Yanai would find herself in the hands of an Echani woman and her master’s captor on a ship hovering above her planet. The situation in which she found herself was explained to her in full. A prime reason for being here was the strong pull of her abilities to the woman. Yanai would accept the situation having not wanted to go back to her tribe. The Echani woman would willingly raise her as her own. She would become that woman’s padawan and train in the ways of the lightside. Any revenge in her heart or contempt for her parent’s would fade as she found a new path to walk.
