NAME: Yag'dril'sil
FACTION: Jedi
RANK: Padawan
SPECIES: Bo-Dun
AGE: 23
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 18' (5.5 meters) total length. Her "standing" height, from head to where her torso meets her serpentine body, is approximately 7 feet.
WEIGHT: 580 Pounds (The increased weight accounts for dense muscle and scale mass)
EYES: Gold-Green, with slitted pupils. They possess a subtle luminescence in low light.
HAIR: Raven-black, often intricately braided with silver threads and small, polished river stones, a custom from her homeworld.
SKIN: Iridescent, pearlescent white scales with a faint, opalescent sheen. The scales on her underside are a softer, cream color.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
STRENGTHS:

  • Immense Physical Power: Her serpentine body is a coiled mass of muscle. She can constrict with incredible force, shatter durasteel bulkheads with a powerful tail-swipe, and anchor herself immovably.
  • Unorthodox Mobility: Capable of surprising speed and fluid grace over open ground. She can climb and navigate vertical surfaces and complex terrain with an ease that baffles bipedal species.
  • Low-Light Vision: Her slitted pupils allow her to see perfectly in near-total darkness, a trait from her cave-dwelling ancestry.
  • Natural Armor: Her scales are naturally tough, providing a level of protection equivalent to light body armor against blaster bolts and shrapnel.
  • Force Connection: Her connection to the Force is deeply kinesthetic and tactile. She is exceptionally attuned to vibrations through surfaces, able to "feel" the approach of beings and machinery from great distances. Her premonitions often feel like a "shiver in the scales."
WEAKNESSES:
  • Skeletal Structure: Her bones are more flexible but less dense than a human's. This makes her highly resistant to blunt force but more vulnerable to piercing weapons, concentrated impact, and bone-crusher mechanics.
  • Logistical Nightmare: Cannot use standard starship bunks, chairs, lifts, or facilities. Her personal quarters are a custom-modified cargo bay. She is effectively planet-bound or reliant on specialized transport.
  • Limited Protective Gear: Cannot fit into any standard armor. Her protection is limited to custom-made pauldrons, bracers, and a chest-plate. This leaves most of her body exposed.
  • Environmental Vulnerability: As a cold-blooded species, she is susceptible to extreme cold. Her metabolism and reflexes slow dramatically in freezing environments, requiring heated environments or specialized thermal robes.
  • Intimidation Factor: Her size and appearance naturally cause fear and mistrust. Diplomacy and subtlety are constant challenges, as her mere presence can be perceived as a threat.

APPEARANCE:
Yag'dril'sil is a breathtaking and formidable sight. From the waist up, she possesses a humanoid torso with a lean, muscular build, indicative of her strength. Her skin is smooth and pale where it is not scaled, transitioning seamlessly into the opalescent white scales that cover the rest of her body.

Her serpentine body is long and powerful, easily 12 feet of thick, muscular coils. The scales are large and layered like polished moonstones, catching the light with a soft, pearlescent gleam of blue, green, and pink. When she moves, it is with a silent, hypnotic fluidity that can be both beautiful and unnerving.

Her face is elegant and sharp-featured, with high cheekbones and a strong jaw. Her most striking features are her eyes: large, expressive, and the color of molten gold with flecks of emerald, their slitted pupils constantly adjusting to the light. She wears her raven-black hair in a series of complex, traditional braids, a practice that grounds her in her culture and provides a personal, artistic outlet.

Attire: She forgoes traditional Jedi robes. Instead, she wears a tailored tunic of durable, dark grey fabric that covers her torso. Over this, she wears custom-fitted armor pieces: a silvered materia chest-plate embossed with the Silver Jedi crest, and matching bracers on her forearms. A utility belt, scaled to her size, carries her lightsaber and other gear. The rest of her magnificent, serpentine body is unadorned, a testament to her natural heritage.

BIOGRAPHY:
Yag'dril's earliest memories were the humid, dappled sunlight of Sekalus's deep jungles, a world where the line between untamed wilderness and ancient civilization was forever blurred. Her people, the Bo-Dun, were the guardians of these wild places, living in secluded tribes within the labyrinthine cave systems that wormed through the planet's mountains. For Yag'dril, life was a cycle of meditation in the sun-warmed clearings and hunts in the shadowy, bioluminescent depths. Her brilliant white scales, a rare genetic trait, made her a figure of both awe and superstition among her kind seen as either a blessing or an omen.

This isolated peace was shattered when off-worlders came. They came not with conquest in their voices, but with promises of "progress" and "unity." At first, the Bo-Dun observed from a distance, wary but not hostile. Then, the reports began to trickle in from the planetary cities. A strange, engineered plague was spreading, not killing its victims, but rewriting them. People were being twisted into new, monstrous forms aggressive, bestial creatures that lost all sense of self.

The Bo-Dun watched in horror as the wilderness they protected became a battleground. The transformed creatures, now called the "Afflicted," spilled from the cities, their madness infecting the jungle's fauna. Yag'dril's tribe, including her parents and siblings, did not flee. They became the first and last line of defense, using their knowledge of the treacherous caves and jungles to ambush and contain the threat. Yag'dril, despite her youth, fought with a fierce, innate strength, her massive coils crushing the Afflicted, her senses tuned to their unnatural vibrations in the Force. It was a brutal, shadow war, fought in the dark places of the world.

Just as the Bo-Dun's strength began to wane, a new light emerged in the system. The Order of the Silver Jedi, answering a desperate, galaxy-wide distress call, arrived on Sekalus. Yag'dril watched from the treetops as their ships descended like falling stars. She witnessed their members not as conquerors, but as healers and warriors combined. They moved with a light that repelled the darkness of the Affliction, using their strange weapons and profound calm to pacify the twisted beings and secure the cities.

Driven by a compulsion she didn't fully understand, Yag'dril emerged from the jungle to meet them. The sight of the massive, white-scaled lamia emerging from the foliage caused alarm, but she projected only curiosity and a desire to help. She communicated her people's struggle and offered their knowledge of the land. The Jedi, to their credit, saw not a monster, but a being of profound strength and untapped connection to the Force.

Working alongside the Jedi, Yag'dril saw a path she never knew existed. Here was a way to protect life on a scale far greater than her jungle, to understand the strange "current" she had always felt flowing through the world the Force. When the Silver Jedi offered her a place among them, she accepted with her tribe's blessing. It was a solemn vow; she would become the bridge between her hidden people and the vast galaxy, and she would learn the skills to ensure a horror like the Affliction could never take root anywhere else.

Her induction into the Republic's force enclave was a challenge of a different kind. She was an exotic wonder, a subject of curiosity and sometimes fear. Everything was built for smaller, bipedal species. Yet, she persevered. She learned to read Basic, studied the Code, and learned to channel her raw, instinctual connection to the Force into the disciplined practices of a Jedi Padawan.

Now, Yag'dril travels the galaxy, a serene and imposing presence. Her missions are not just assignments; they are part of her ongoing oath. She seeks to heal the scars of conflict, protect the vulnerable from the predatory, and quietly prove that true strength lies not in one's form, but in the compassion and courage within. Every world she helps is a tribute to Sekalus, and every life she saves is a defiance of the darkness that once tried to consume her home.
