PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Xygrit is a master manipulator, a former Sith Acolyte who has traded overt Force power for the insidious influence of cunning and raw sex appeal. Her years in the Sith instilled in her a ruthless ambition and a profound understanding of fear, but she quickly realized that brute force was often inefficient. Instead, she honed her natural charisma into a potent weapon, capable of disarming rivals and enchanting allies, all while concealing a viper's strike beneath a silken glove.
She projects an aura of intoxicating confidence, her every movement deliberate and designed to capture attention. She revels in the power her allure grants her, using it to extract information, forge alliances, and dismantle opposition without ever needing to raise a hand. Her intelligence is sharp and calculating, always several steps ahead, and she delights in psychological games, often letting her targets believe they are in control before snatching victory from their grasp.
Beneath the alluring facade lies a pragmatic and utterly self-serving individual. Loyalty, for Xygrit, is a transactional concept; she values those who serve her interests and discards those who become liabilities. While she might appear to indulge in luxurious pleasures, every extravagance is a calculated display of power and influence. Her past as a Sith Acolyte has left her with a deep-seated cynicism and a belief that power is the only true currency, and she will stop at nothing to expand her own. She is dangerous not just for her ambition, but for her ability to make you want to be manipulated by her.
STRENGTHS
- Exceptional Persuasion and Manipulation: As a Falleen, Xygrit naturally possesses the ability to emit powerful pheromones that can influence the emotions of others, combined with her Sith training, which honed her skills in psychological manipulation and deception. This makes her incredibly adept at swaying individuals to her will, whether through charm, intimidation, or subtle emotional control. She can turn enemies into reluctant allies and easily extract information or loyalty.
- Ruthless Ambition and Strategic Mind: Xygrit's past as a Sith Acolyte instilled in her a deep-seated ambition and a willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. This, combined with her strategic thinking developed in the cutthroat environment of the Sith and later refined in the criminal underworld, allows her to plan complex operations, anticipate rival moves, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. She sees opportunities where others see obstacles.
- Master of Underworld Networks and Resources: Her transition from Sith Acolyte to crime boss means Xygrit has cultivated extensive connections within the galaxy's criminal organizations. She has a vast network of informants, enforcers, smugglers, and technicians at her disposal. This allows her to access rare resources, execute large-scale illicit operations, and gather intelligence that gives her a significant advantage over competitors and authorities.
WEAKNESSES
- Arrogance and Underestimation of Others: Xygrit's former position as a Sith Acolyte, coupled with her natural Falleen charisma, can lead to an inflated sense of superiority. She may frequently underestimate her opponents, especially those she deems beneath her in power or intellect. This overconfidence could lead her to take unnecessary risks or overlook crucial details, creating vulnerabilities that clever adversaries could exploit.
- Trust Issues and Isolation: The betrayal and backstabbing inherent in Sith culture, combined with the treacherous nature of the criminal underworld, have left Xygrit with profound trust issues. She finds it incredibly difficult to form genuine bonds or rely on anyone other than herself, constantly suspecting ulterior motives. This isolation can limit her ability to delegate effectively, foster true loyalty among her subordinates, or build lasting alliances, potentially leaving her exposed when she most needs support.
- Lingering Dogma and Impulsiveness from Sith Training: While she may have abandoned the formal Sith Order, aspects of their aggressive philosophy and emotional volatility could still influence Xygrit's decision-making. Under pressure, she can revert to destructive, impulsive behaviors learned as an Acolyte, prioritizing immediate, forceful solutions over more strategic, long-term approaches. This can manifest as outbursts of anger, a tendency to eliminate problems rather than solve them, or an inability to compromise, potentially burning bridges or creating unnecessary enemies.
HISTORY
Ygrit was born on Falleen and spent her childhood on the species homeplanet. Like others of her kind she took to traveling in her adolescent years. She never returned to Falleen however. Much of her adolescence is unaccounted for, she doesn’t speak of that time with anyone. She speaks very much about her extravagant lifestyle as a child however. Ygrit claims to be the descendent of Prince Xizor. No one with any common sense believes the claim, but she has falsified documents that speak to it being the truth, and no evidence can be found that she is lying about it.
After her “invisible” period (actually she was secretly being trained in the ways of the Force) Ygrit returned to the galaxy and immediately made a name for herself in Wild Space as a marauder. She gathered a small crew and took up residence on Ylesia where she declared herself the local crimeboss making what she thought was the necessary connections to make it true in more than just name. In truth she was the boss of her marauder crew, a very small spice organization and even smaller gambling ring. Of course to go along with her story of being kin to Prince Xizor, Xygrit has named her “organization” to be a leg of the Black Sun.
