STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
(+) Shaper: Xerus has spent the vast majority of his life tinkering and playing with Vong Genetics and Vong Biots. He has gotten very good at it in his opinion, and possibly some others.
(+) Sinister Plots: Xerus is always plotting his own escalation. Anyone or anything that can be of use with that goal is a target of manipulation and deceit. Anyone that cannot be of use is avoided altogether or eventually removed.
(=) Cockroach: Xerus, cowardly he may be, survives. He is hard to pin down and kill simply because he doesn’t get caught in the fray. If he does, he uses everything at his disposal to simply, get away.
(-) Heretic: Xerus cares little for the Old Ways. They don’t benefit him so, secretly he is a heretic willing to try whatever crosses his fancy, but this forces him to hide in plain sight.
(-) Battle?: Xerus doesn’t fight. At least not directly. That is what he makes beasts and monsters for.
APPEARANCE:
Xerus is a relatively short creature, hunched over and seemingly feeble. In truth he is average, he just finds it beneficial to appear weaker than he is. His face is covered in ritual scars and he wears the traditional shaper garb and headdress. His eyes have been replaced with Mqaaq’it causing his eye color to shift based on his mood and his vision to ascend the normal spectrum of light.
BIOGRAPHY:
Xerus was born to the shaper caste years ago and spent his early life training and practicing the shaping arts. While his known experiments aren’t anything to gawk at he has numerous secret experiments he has used to gather intelligence and data on the blasphemous eighth cortex, despite having never unlocked it personally.
Unlike many shapers or Yuuzhan Vong he has no care for the True Way, even if he acts like he does. He sees it as holding the Yuuzhan Vong, and more importantly him, back from transcendence, his ultimate goal. When Selvaris was Vong-Shaped Xerus assisted, as did hundreds of other shapers on the planet, turning it into what it is now, though he had no serious additions to the planet. His laboratory on the planet is simplistic and located in a secluded area, away from most of the other Yuuzhan Vong in an attempt to hide his acts of heresy.
While he remains loyal to the Legion, his true loyalties are always to himself, there are simply few options regarding Yuuzhan Vong beyond the Legion that serves the One Sith. Perhaps one day that will not be the case, but even then, his loyalty falls to whomever can provide for him and protect him. After all, how can one transcend if they are too busy running for their life.
