SPECIAL FEATURES

• Bolt Selector: Built into the system, the bowcaster has been upgraded to allow it's user, should time permit, to customize the bolt's plasma casing.
  • Ion Bolt: A heavy ion bolt designed to punch through heavy shields, or at least weaken them to the point of failure.
  • Particle Bolt: Designed to impact with maximum velocity, the particle wrapped bolt is designed to shatter and explode on impact, rather than pierce. Designed to act as a fragmentation grenade with killing potential, with both high energy particle explosions, and metal fragmentation from the bolt itself.
  • Armor Piercing Bolt: A bolt entirely devoid of it's casing, the heavy seigurium is designed to act as a punch to even the heaviest armor, whether that be a heavy infantry, or a walker.
  • Delayed Explosive Bolt: A bolt devoid of it's casing, but loaded in the rear with a large explosive warhead, designed to detonate shortly after impact with a target. Designed for vehicle destruction, the bolt is designed to first punch through the armor of the vehicle, before exploding inside.
• Field Tested: The weapon is designed with war in mind, every part having come from weapons already within the WSR's arsenal, and thus parts are plentiful. The bowcaster itself is designed to withstand any environment, it's parts all tested thoroughly for their breaking points.

STRENGTHS

• Wookie Strength: The Bowcaster is well known across the galaxy for it's sheer power as a weapon. Si Tech made no attempt to innovate on that concept, simply allowing the bowcaster more versatility in firepower. It still hits like a wookie to the face.
• Deploy-able: One of the biggest downsides of the traditional bowcaster is it's weight, and recoil. Si Tech solved this by installed a miniaturized accelerator compensator into the handle, allowing the bowcaster to be fired semi-auto safely, while installing a bi-pod to allow for steady shooting.
• Sealed System: To prevent the Sucker Punch from taking in the muck of a battlefield, the system is entirely sealed internally, save for the removable ammunition, which has a tight seal. This makes the benefit of allowing the weapon to function entirely underwater, as well as making it practically impossible to get dirt inside.

WEAKNESSES

• Still Hefty: The Bowcaster's biggest weakness is still prevalent even in the Si Tech model. Requiring a dedicated operator, and someone who knows how to heft this beast.
• Ammo Required: The Seigurium Bolts required for the weapon come in specially made magazines, and as such are often a logistical bottleneck in theater. Also, the ammo is heavy as hell, and will often require a dedicated ammo bearer to carry around.

DESCRIPTION
With a shift in tactics from the industrial powerhouse of the Galactic Alliance, to the scrappy rebel forces of the WSR, Si Tech saw fit to re-evaluate it's production line. While many of its Alliance era designs were kept, the need for a smaller, less costly alternative to the Sabertooth arose. As such, Si Tech went back to the drawing board.

Rara herself searched for a design that would fit not only the needs, but the aestetic of the Rebel forces, and inspire a new look for Si Tech's production team to adjust to. The answer? The Wookie Bowcaster, a symbol of alien forces within the Rebel Alliance, as the result of the famed Chewbacca.

The result of this process, was the Sucker Punch. A bowcaster with the power of the older models, but the versatility of Si Tech. It's custom bolt selection allows it to function as bolt anti-infantry, and anti-armor with simply the click of two buttons.
