The podcast I run (Bombad Radio) is interviewing John Jackson Miller on Wednesday. He is the writer of the FIRST Official Canon novel (NEW DAWN) that tkaes place during Rebels.

Q: Is it intimidating trying to establish a new, written canon for Star Wars?

Q : Before the new changes made with the canon timeline, how difficult was it not to contradict yourself? Take Kenobi for example, you pulled information from the series written by Jude Watson. Was it a challenge to write in existing framework?

How do you feel about the many contradictions and inaccuracies in the portrayal of certain groups/characters in the EU? Is it daunting to try and match it with another writers/artist's vision when you want to make your own? Or is that part of the experience when writing for an existing universe, trying to stay true to the characters and themes while presenting your own?
