Would this be considered Salvaging?

Alright, so I have an old jacket that I have in my possession. I have had, and used the jacket various times on my account as [member="Nick Imura"], and I was wondering if I could resub the item to fit Ignis? *handed down to him*

The idea is that after many years of use, the Fur on the jacket would have been ripped off, and what not. Wear and tear. I also want to sub it to fit the character.

Would this be considered Salvage, or Reverse engineering?

You may not salvage items that have been purchased or given to your character. You may only salvage your own submissions. This would be a reverse engineering. However to reverse engineer you must have evidence to support ownership of the item through a marketplace purchase or a thread where the purchase or acquisition happened.
