Private Winter Raid

The streets of Denon were something familiar to Aren. However, there was a different scent on it tonight. It wasn't anything she could sense or know about. Perhaps if she were more attuned to the nature of people, she would have known. That wasn't the case, and very quickly, Aren found herself isolated from the main throughfares, and there were far too many people around her.

With a fast parkour jump, she evaded one of them and landed too close to another. For whatever reason, these people were entirely organic. Not even somebody with synthetic eyes. Wondering which deity she pissed off, she tried to protect her head. Without giving away that she could use the Force, she did try to place a barrier around her body. She was already down and quite distracted. Not able to raise it, she could only take the beating and robbery and hope they left her alive.

Denon, something brought a familiar air around him. He was still young, had much learning to do. However in the past few months he had traveled far and wide, although he did his absolute best to avoid Sith Space. It was a place that he wasn't planning on going anywhere near, or at least the young teen had hoped.

Life's adventures had brought him into the comfort of the High Republic for the day. The streets of Denon had he walked. It wasn't until he heard sounds coming from up ahead, there wasn't anything going on in the streets up ahead. Yet the night had grown late almost, and he turned to look down an alley and there were two individuals whom were attacking someone else. The individual was completely defenseless, in a stupid move he had left his blaster on the ship. Deidric glanced around, nobody seemed to be around as he quickly shed his clothing and morphed into his wolf form. The agile and quickness that was bestowed upon him was incredible.

On all fours the young wolf charged down the alley and launched himself at the duo. A strong bit strengtht to him as he clasped on flesh. He wasn't trying to kill them, just to cause enough pain for them to flee. The were able to get in a few shots, a few small cries emitted from the young wolf but he was able to get the job done.

They ran off and the wolf glanced towards Aren, he moved forward a bit and gave a small whine, licking her hand briefly. He didn't wait for a response as he sprinted back up the alleyway which was still barren, as he would be upon his return to his human form. So it was good to get to his clothes quickly.

The attacks slowed down for several moments and then stopped entirely. What seemed to be a canine was attacking the men. They shot at it, and it was able to take the damage. At least, it appeared that way. It came up and licked her, only to wander away a second later.

Aren just continued to sit on the ground, running an internal and mental diagnostic to make sure she wasn't hurt badly. She would likely have a few nice bruises in the morning, but nothing felt broken. The cold got to her quickly, and she stood up slowly as fast as her sore body allowed, but slower than normal. This gave him the chance to get his clothes on again.

Following him, she couldn't see where he had gone, but did see a person in front of her. Maybe he had seen where the large dog had gone.

"Excuse me! Did you see a large dog go past you?"

Approaching with her hands open, he would see she carried no weapons.

Goodness that was too close for comfort. Deidric whispered as he clothed himself quickly just as Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade was rounding the corner and he stood up quickly as she asked her questions.

"Excuse me! Did you see a large dog go past you?"

"Large dogs?" Deidric shook his head quickly. "Yes it frightened me and went of in....." Deidric pointed around as if he had no idea what was going on. "Some direction, it was massive. I just dove out of the way."

"Hey are you okay? I heard some commotion when I came around the corner. That dog thing didn't hurt you did it?"

She didn't concern herself with the thugs that had been beating her. What she was worried about was the dog. It was a strange sight to see on a world as industrialized as Denon. Holding up one finger to indicate the number of dogs, she waited to speak until he finished.

"Just one canine."

Lowering her eyebrows for a moment, his answer was vague, but if he had dived out of the way, then she could understand why. Then he asked if she was okay, and she started nodding.

"I'll be bruised later, but that's all. No broken bones. Oh no! It saved me from the beating I was getting, then it ran off. It got shot at, so I had hoped to find it and make sure it wasn't hurt. Other than this direction, I didn't see where it went. I hope it's okay. Are you?"

Taking a spill could have hurt him just as much as getting beaten.
