HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Hailing from the world of Atrisia in the the Core Worlds, Wilhelm Vonreg was the child of members of the Vonreg Family, an aritocratic family with a strong military background on par with the Antilles and Fels. Growing up, Vonreg followed the path of his parents in joining Atrisia's local defense forces as a pilot before eventually going on to join the Second Galactic Alliance and joining their Starfighter Corps despite his family's Pro-Imperial leanings.
Vonreg would serve the Galactic Alliance with distinction going on to become the Commander of his own Starfighter Squadron known as the Crimson Linings which went on to become one of the Alliance's best starfighter squadrons during their wars against the First Order and the Sith. However building a positive reputation for himself within the ranks of the Galactic Alliance, Vonreg would be disgraced during the Liberation of Foerost where he committed warcrimes against the defending Sith.
As a result of this action, Vonreg was dishonorably discharged and imprisoned by the Galactic Alliance and would remain imprisoned for approximately a dozen years before he and his squamates escaped from prison and set their sights on a new iteration of the Galactic Alliance that had risen in the Core Worlds fueled by a desire for revenge against the successors of those they had perceived as having wronged them. This would lead to the Crimson Linings making use of stolen TIE Silencers to conduct raids against Alliance Convoys at the edge of the Core.
Before the Galactic Alliance could track them down and deliver "Justice" to the Crimson Linings however, they would suddenly disappear with their raid almost suddenly halting. While the Galactic Alliance simply move on believing the threat posed by the Crimson Linings to be gone, the reality was that they had been recruited by Marlon Sularen who sought their support in his own plot against the Galactic Alliance due to his own grievances with them.
Eventually the Crimson Linings would find themselves serving underneath Sularen while he was the ruler of Byss, fighting against the Galactic Alliance during the Byss Crisis that occurred when Corellia and Duros mounted a hostile invasion of Byss. After the Byss Crisis and Sularen's exile, the Crimson Linings followed Sularen as he joined forces with the Brotherhood of the Maw's Neo-Imperial subgroup known as the Final Dawn, participating in the subsequent Second Great Hyperspace War as one of the Maw's top starfighter squadrons going up against the Alliance's best starfighter squadron known as Revenant Squadron.
The Crimson Linings under Wilhelm Vonreg would engage in multiple encounters with Revenant Squadron culminating in the Battle of Exegol where amidst the collapse of the Maw, Vonreg shot down and killed the leader of Revnant Squadron, Tren Chaar, scoring a major victory for the Crimson Linings despite Exegol's subsequent destruction. After the collapse of the Maw, Vonreg would continue to serve Sularen and would eventually join the Dark Empire participating in the Core Wars albeit facing no significant opponents in the Alliance that were on par with Revenant Squadron.
After the Dark Empire itself collapsed, Vonreg would once more follow Sularen in the emerging Imperial Confederation already married and with a young child of his own, still loyal to the man who once helped him satiate his need for revenge against the Alliance. Now he serves the Confederation as one of it's top veteran ace pilots and a part-time starfighter instructor leading a new squadron of skilled Imperial pilots in order to further advance the Imperial agenda and annihilate those who would undermine the Confederation.
