Who Knew Online Dating Worked? (Ire'Rain Sekairo)

Mallory couldn't belive it. She was going to be on a date! Well more like a cyberdate....thing. It was hard to put into words. She was just so nervous about the actual thing itself. And to think she'd found this girl, [member="Ire'Rain Sekairo"] on some online dating sight when she was the type who didn't think those sort of sights worked. She'd put her name and info in for the sake of herself thinking "why not?" but never expected to actually find someone on it. The whole fact had made her more-or-less feel like she was about to face a firing squad.

She'd set up to meet this girl via holovid talk since she couldn't exaclty go out for the time being; not so much because of her disability but because she was so nervous to meet in person first before anything else. Thankfully she understood and they'd agreed to talk tonight. But even for it being a vid-chat date Mallory was preparing herself as if it were an actual one.

She washed her hair and had it nice and clean, wore a nicer dress, made sure the glasses were right. Even to where she had potioned the camera so it would show the nicer parts of her apartment were something she worried about. Once everything had been set, Mallory taking the time to move everything around and look presentable, she waited at the laptop she'd set on the table until Sekairo would answer.

As she waited she started to worry. She worried what it would be like when she told her she couldn't walk, or if she had to ventually tell her about her secret life as Mouse. Could she afford this sort of thing while working her life as a vigilante slicer? But then again she did deserve this, didn't she?

How long had it been since Ire last went on a date? Oh, that's right, she hadn't been on one before. This was a first. Today, in fact, was full of quite a few firsts for her! Well, the whole week had been like that. First she had finally bothered to check her C.U.P.I.D. profile after a month of inactivity. More importantly she had received a notification. Someone had expressed interest in a date. A date! It had been quite exciting for the Sekairo woman. After that she had gone out shopping for clothing other. For once she bought something other then robes- which she had grown oh-so accustom to. Now she was sitting at the computer terminal, rather nervous, waiting for her companion to come online. Did I mention that they weren't meeting face-to-face?... No?... Oh. Well, that was the plan. Both of them had decided that a video chat would be a good way to start things. Our kind-of-crazy Epicanthix had grown up a fair bit since her last relationship. Taking things slow was actually what she wanted. How many people had she had to reject because of that? Quite a few, unfortunately. Plenty of the other people she had met on the site had wanted to rush into things. When Mallory had suggested something simple to start things off... well... she had already earned a few points in Ire's book.

Just another reason for her to be excited about this. Roughly four hours had been spent in preparation for their meeting. Ire had showered, tried to make her usually messy hair look nice (it was partially cooperating with her), gotten dressed in a nice blouse (with a cute necklace!), and set up the camera. She had even arranged the items that would appear in the background! Along with removing a few... After all she was in the Zambrano palace right now. Their ideas of fancy decor had a habit of putting other people off. So Ire had rearranged her room before sitting herself nearby the window. Currently a few stray beams of moonlight were slipping past the blinds, illuminating the space nicely. Off screen a lamp was providing enough light to make sure she was visible. She hadn't dressed nicely for nothing! Heh heh. Once everything was prepared she quietly logged on, wondering how to present herself. "Hi, I'm Ire, and I work for a genocidal maniac who I pretend to tolerate" didn't exactly sound like a good way to start the conversation. Neither did "I totally don't have ties to a bunch of evil people".
...
...
Well, she was planning on quitting. Eventually. That counts for something, right?... Oh dear...

Eventually it was time. Mallory had been checking the clock in her room over hundreads of times, practially every other minute. Once it had chimed on the hour, five o'clock, it was time. With a deep breath and a quick reminder to herself to act natural she clicked on her vid phone and waited for [member="Ire'Rain Sekairo"] to pick up on the other end. Each ring felt like it was taking foreverm even though only two went by. When she finally answered and Mallory was able to see her clealry all her worries seemed to wash down the drain.

She was a very pretty girl, as her picture had shown. Though it was funny seeing the same imagry in her picture in real life. But she looked so much nicer now. Perhaps she was like her and had prepared herself for this little vid-chat date they planned. Made sense after all, wanting to look your best.

With little smile creeping on her face Mallory gave a small "Hi..." adding a wave to try and seem more friendly.

It was a little late on Panatha. That was good- Ire was a busy person, this way she would have no interruptions. Unless there was an emergency... Let's not ponder that situation for long. As was mentioned it was a little later. Just around the time she usually went to bed the Epicanthix heard a little *ping* from her computer. Ah, Mallory had sent a chat request. With a deep breath she hit the accept button. Once her date appeared on screen... well, all of the Sekairo's nervousness disappeared. A dorky smile made it's way onto her lips. "Hi..." Oh boy... she was cute! Ire stifled a little chuckle with her hand before waving back. Then she sat up a little bit straighter and spoke:

"Hello, Miss. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Smiling even wider she gave a small inclination of her head. A sort of... mini bow.
[member="Mouse"]

The way she spoke showed she had a more mannerful tone; at least when meeting Mallory for the first time. She even returned her little bow of the head she gave before smiling again. Her anxiety slowly started to fade as she could now see this girl for herself, seeing she wasn't anything different from some of the other girls she oggled in the past. At least this one was willing to talk to her.

"So, uh, I guess we should start with actual intros. Not just the stuff we put on our profiles." Mallory began, giggling a bit at the end. "So Hi. I'm Mallory. And I...really like your how you have your hair tonight."

Realizing what she said she mentally cursed herself for saying "how you have your hait tonight". What sort of sense did that make?

[member="Ire'Rain Sekairo"]

Well, wasn't she adorable? The way she smiled was just so cute. Ire couldn't stop smiling. Even when she responded there were traces of her grin left over. For a moment after Mallory complimented her hair the Epicanthix felt a blush rise on her cheeks. Oh dear, already? Perhaps it was her nerves. This was their first date... But blushing was a normal thing. Let's move on before she gets stuck rambling in her mind! "Why thank you. I must say you look rather wonderful yourself today." Once again she inclined her head a little, as a way of further expressing her conviction. "Oh, but I've been rude, I should introduce myself better: I am Ire'Rain of House Sekairo." In those few seconds she felt a little more nervous than before. Why? It was just that her family was semi-well-known. Plenty of them were skilled bounty hunters or soldiers. A few were revered Sith Lords or Jedi Masters. One, who had been long exiled from the clan, had lead a criminal empire for decades. They didn't exactly have the best reputation...
Ire hoped Mallory didn't know that.

Her smiling. Her blushing. All of it was getting to Mallory. This girl, [member="Ire'Rain Sekairo"] as she'd introduced herself, was just as nervous as she was about all of this. But when she'd agreed to meet with this girl Mallory, under the name 'Mouse', had looked into the history of House Sekairo. They've had a convoluted enough history to where Mallory didn't know what to make of Ire herself. But, for the sake of her own need to find someone, Mallory just let it be and agreed to speak with her anyways. And now, after talking with her and seeing her reactions, she could tell she wasn't some crazed sith or a murderer or anything like that. She was sweet.

At the first reaction she said "That sounds really impressive. Not too familiar with the name but I've heard of House Sekairo before." she gave a little bow of her head and said "Nice to meet you, my lady." a coy but friendly smile over her lips. After that she said "Sorry. I'd try an actual bow or crusty but...well let's just say I can't do it right now. Anyway I'm really glad you agreed to talk. I mean it's nicer actually talking to someone instead of doing it over posts, you know?"

This was Mallory's actual personality taking hold. It was true, she was the kind of girl who preferred to hear people's voices when talking to them, as opposed to just reading texts and the like. Sort of ironic, given her alter ego job, but at the same time understandable when you deal with nothing but reading data and the like for so long.

"My lady? Well, aren't you the little charmer," She responded, blushing yet again. This time it was a little more noticeable. Especially considering her camera was of a very high grade. Zambranos don't mess around! "Most of us aren't actual royalty. One of my distant relatives- though I consider her my sister- is a Queen though... and most of us are sworn to another dynasty... Oh, sorry, I get sidetracked sometimes. My sincerest apologies, dear." For the most part this was the real Ire. Romance, and the potential for it, turned her into a dorky gentle-lady. One who was very, very good at pleasing women. When she wanted to, that is. But she could also do a lot of damage when she wished... sometimes when she didn't wish. Part of her thought back to her old love- Elani- briefly. It caused the first twinges of a frown to form on her face. Quickly she pushed the feeling aside, forcing a smile again. Though she managed to fake it perfectly. Politics meant doing that a lot. And she was involved in those far more than she liked. Something she hoped she wouldn't drag Mallory into... "Ah, yes, it's much better to take to someone's face instead of just their icon. Perhaps a little more... nerve-racking, but it feels a lot more... real, I guess. If that makes sense. Oh boy, am I rambling again? It kind of happens around cute girls sometimes. I swear I don't a-always talk like this-... You should probably interrupt me now."

Well, wasn't she a dork? A cute one, but a dork nonetheless. It should be noted that we are currently speaking of Ire.
[member="Mouse"]
{Sorry for the late reply again. I keep not checking my notifications until there's a sea of them, and I often miss some. I'll try to remedy that- and in the mean time I'll stop making so many excuses, lol.}

Aww. And now she was rambling. How even more nice. Mallory was glad that she seemed the more confident one now. Especially given that this girl claimed to be distantly related to a queen. If anything Mallory should've worried any wrong word would lead to having her head cut off; if they'd ever knew where she was that is. That goodness the picture was clear enough to see how pink her cheeks had gotten. If anything that, and the fact she'd called her cute, gave Mallory more of a confidence build on the grounds that she was the one being treated now.

After [member="Ire'Rain Sekairo"] gave her little rambling Mallory laughed and said "Well I'm glad you think I'm cute. I think you are too. Even better. I think you're beautiful. Especially your eyes. They seem so....intense. But if you want me to interrupt for the sake of it, fine." She smirked for a moment, wondering if Ire was the type who liked to be flattered and wanted more, before saying "So...I guess this is going to sound sort of corny but what do you like to do? Favorite music? Movies? Food? I can pull up a list of other things people usually talk about on dates if it helps."

Already Mallory felt like the "man" in this situation. It reminded her of times when guys would try to hit on her before being told the hard truth one way or another. Usually she told them herself just to see the looks on their faces. Other times they seemed to sweet to want to break the news to face-to-face, so others would give her the curtsey. Made her wonder if some of the moves they'd tried on her weren't rubbing off.

(It's okay lol. Just wanted to remind you about the hot redhead girl in a wheelchair you're neglecting lol)

Things were going spectacularly well so far! What had the girls even been worrying about? Sure, they were a bit of a blushing mess, but it was a fun blushing mess. Compliments had been laid on the table, laughter had filled both rooms, and Mallory was making sure the conversation kept going. Not to mention the fact that she seemed unaware of Ire's real situation. Working for a Sith Lord, even if it wasn't entirely by choice, doesn't exactly look good. Hopefully that wouldn't come up for some time... Ahem. Let's move on. With a smile Ire let her date casually 'interrupt' her.

"Well, if I ramble for to long you'll never get a chance to speak. Then I wouldn't be able to learn anything about you. That would be rather sad, don't you think?" She joked with a grin. "Ah, what to ask on a first date... Your suggestions seem like a good place to start. Music: When I was a little girl I traveled around with my mom. She raised me on jazz. Never really grew out of it I guess. As for movies... I tend to like historical dramas. Seeing what the past was like, or seemed like, has always interested me..." She grew quiet for a few moments, simply smiling softly. After a few seconds she looked back at the screen and continued. "Food? Well... I'll have you know that we Sekairos are reknowned for our wondrous cooking skills. Soups, meats, pastries, you name it. Personally I prefer to bake. Especially cookies! Freshly baked ones with colorful frosting is always the best, especially if you have someone to share them with!"
She was being an excited little dork. As always.

As she listned to everything she said Mallory almost found herself lost in Ire's eyes. They were so hypnotic at times it was like she had a gaze that could draw anyone it. It made her smile as she listned to her talk about everything Mallroy suggested before hearing her mention sharing food. With a chuckle she said "Well if things go right, maybe we will." After that she cleared her throat and said "Well I like jazz music, but I'm kinda of into rock sometimes. I sort of blame my friends, they kept playing it all the time and I got hooked on it. When it comes to movies as long as it's anything with action I'm good. Otherwise you lose me in five minutes." She giggled at her joke a little before saying "And really I'm going to be honest and say I'm a total pig. I'm not really picky. But thankfully the good force above gave me a high enough metabolism where it just bruns off. So I'm really set for anyting." After that Mallory tried to think of another topic, suddenly asking "So you ever dated before?" And then smaking herself mentally for asking such a stupid question.
