Public When The Lights Go Out

A passenger aboard a small little cargo ship? So remote and unsuspecting, and frankly it was an amusing idea. A Sith Lord as a passenger? Ridiculous, but there was one world she had sought to set out for. One she didn't want anyone to know she was bound for. Onderon was far too populated of a world to return to, especially with her ship, and yet she had unfinished buisness there. Question was, was the captain willing to go there. Her 'boat' obviously wouldn't fit, but if she began the talks for getting the flight materials tommorow, her crew could await the delivery and by the time she returned everything would be squared away.

To Malevolum's surprise, neither of the two seemed bother by her current position. Strange. She had expected something more comical, but she wasn't exactly offended. Though she did find is somewhat amusing that Jerec believed she was joking. Her gaze went to the android, seeing she had tensed up at the proclimation; though her words suggested they would have an understanding. If she embarked on this short detour with the pair, she could perhaps learn more of them; not to mention, she could always enlist unknowns like themselves for possible missions in the future. She attempted to wave Ay off, having no intention of starting a fight; though she was curious just how good the woman was. "I've never heard of Darth Xul, so I'm going to guess you made that up." If Darth Xul was indeed a thing, she must have missed out on that history lesson. "And unless I missed something, I dont see myself as being a Muun banker." Finishing up her drink, Malevolum set the glass down, moving it aside. "I won't be difficult, I assure you. I only request you continue being respectful of my person, and we shouldn't have any conflict." Her eyes went back to Ay, hoping that the woman could see that there was need to get nasty. "I have a destination in mind, but I dont know if you'd be willing to ferry me there. Onderon is the planet in mind." The darth eased back into the chair, her eyes looking between the two. If they declined, it would be no matter, but if they accepted, well, they would be in for quite a haul.

Jerec bit back an offhand and presumably unwanted remark about respecting her person all night long. If anyone on the crew was going to get jiggy with their new passenger, it would probably be Ay.

"None of that's a problem. Onderon's in Silver space just like Umbara, so we don't even need to cross a border. We're taking off tomorrow morning - you're welcome to crash on the ship tonight. I'm sure Ay can hook you up with a bunk."

Ay relaxed her stance, giving a short nod, still it would do well to keep an eye on the women. Even if she didn't habor any ill intent the possibility of being a Sith could attracted unwanted attention from others. As Jerec had stated they were in Silver Jedi space and it well know about their current war with the Sith Empire.

"Statement, I will treat you as per normal in regards to your station as a passenger". If she was the only one Jerec brought along it would make things easier, in light of their conversation from before Ay suspected she could keep watch on the potential Sith by simply being around and making company during the trip. "The craft has plenty of vacant crew quarters to chose from, I have taken the liberty before we landed to separate said areas into crew bunks and passenger room". "I have yet to properly furnish them for personal taste so at the moment all rooms are basic and bare without much on offer".

They were seriously going to take her on as a passenger? Fantastic. Well, there was a matter that needed to be attended to before she left, but for now they matter of payment needed to be discussed. She wasn't aware Onderon was in the middle of Jedi controlled space, but it was probably for the best; else it would just make it that much harder to leave otherwise. She knew how to hide herself from the jedi, in fact she probably should consider disguising herself; though she needed attire to cover up the suit. She nodded to Ay at that statement. "That is more than enough for me." She looked to Jerec, moving to collect the credits she had on her person. "How much will it be for boarding and passage, captain?" She asked, her eyes shifting back to Ay, ad was starting to realize that there was something about this woman that she liked.

"The basics is all I require. Anything else is simply unnecessary." Ines always teased her about that, about how the country girl from Dantooine was so off put by luxury; which was certainly true, it made her extremely uncomfortable to be dotted on. She wondered if perhaps, Ay might understand how that might feel, always feeling out of place, lost in a galaxy that is anything but simple. At times she longed to be as simple as someone as Jerec, to just ignore everything about yourself and continue on wards, undaunted and unafraid. Her mood quickly soured, as she realized she was lingering on sentiments that had no place here. The truth was, that while she was going to Onderon for serious business, she was also looking forward to the experience that awaited her. Her eyes flickered between being dead, and having life to them, though if anyone noticed the conflict within the Sith it would be entirely up to them. "If you two could direct me to your craft, I simply need to make arrangements and we can depart. Perhaps Ms. Ay could give me a tour your ship when she has a moment? Assuming she isn't busy, that is." The lifeless tone had returned to her voice, though in truth she wished to learn more about this one; and from that, she could also learn just what was up with this Jerec individual.

Jerec started grinning at some point in there. "Well, we're heading in the Onderon direction anyway, so I'm not about to stick you for the full cost of the trip. Say eight hundred all inclusive, room and board. Our food stock's a little light on fresh produce and a little heavy on rehydrate tomo-spiced Karkan ribenes, but there's plenty of it."

On the off chance she hadn't been joking, it occurred to him that he was effectively about to smuggle a Sith Lord through Silver Jedi territory. But he quite liked prickly stunted Mal and he'd known a few too many Silvers. Ergo, feth it.

"As for whatever you need, Ay can hook you up no problem. You could say she's our customer relations specialist. It's just normally that skews toward the shooting people side of things, like I'm sure you could guess." Jerec leveled his finger at Ay. "Joke: don't shoot this one, we like her."

It seemed they would indeed be shipping people around now, and added source of income wasn’t a terrible thing. With their new corvette in hand keeping it operational would probably require extra maintenance and thus cost. “Answer, I am capable of giving our a basic tour of the craft on arrival”. She replied back to Mal at the mention of being showed around. Obviously that wouldn’t include certain areas like engine room, weapon systems and the ventilation system, that was hers. She had made a detailed mental map of the ships layout during their acquisition of the craft. Mainly during their search for any stowaways and any possible traps or sabotage set by the former crew members.

Her gaze once more shifting to Jerec, at his statement, her hand slipping to her side arm, but then promptly releasing the hand grip. "Statement, I make no contractual agreement not to open fire on Ms Mal at this current time", in short, 'no promise'. "Elaboration, that was a joke", well sort of, she had to expect the unexpected, which if necessary did involve shooting at the probably Sith... then again if they were a Sith bullets probably wouldn't work very well, perhaps her blade would be better. "Question, shall I lead us back to the main ship now and leave Ms Mal a set of coordinates"?

Eight hundred? Seemed fair for the most part, given the risk they were about to take. "Well that seems fair. And you don't need to worry about consumables with me. I hardly eat as is." Taking the credits, Mal set them on the table and pushed them toward Jerec. She forced a smile as Jerec made light with a joke, something she didn't exactly care for. "Well, let us hope it doesn't come to that." Her eyes shifted towards Ay, as it seemed the woman didn't mind giving her a tour of the ship. She wasn't sure if Ay was attempting to make a joke, or if the woman was low key stating that she had no issue trying to gun the Sith down. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but if the force willed it, Mal would defend herself; even if it might result in damaging someone as amusing as this Ay woman. "If you wish to do that Ay, I'd recommend you not miss." She suggested, feeling that it wouldn't come down to that between the two of them.

Mal stood up, looking to the pair as she had things to attend to, but first needed to confirm that everything was to be alright. "Well, I trust the two of you will not depart without myself being in attendance? I won't be long. Merely need to contact my associate, and then I will meet with you on board." She would need to 'convince' the shipping agency into seeing things her way it seemed. Which suited her just fine, she had been too nice to them anyways.

The eight hundred credits disappeared. "No, we won't leave without you. I mean, you shouldn't take a stranger's word on that, but yeah, we won't be leaving until you show." Jerec got up. "Let's head out, Ay. Gotta freshen up the guest cabin."

Maybe Mal wasn't naive, his gut whispered. Maybe she hadn't been joking. A Sith wouldn't worry about being scammed for eight hundred by random spacers.

Not like it was a scam, but it could have been.

“Answer, If I missed it would be on purpose“. More a general statement then any real threat, though Mal probably guessed as much that Ay want the type to make a shot go wide.

Just as she had sat down Ay stood up from her seat with emasculate and rigid motions, putting the chair how she had found it. Giving Mal one final stare, “Statement, I enjoyed our conversation together, we will be seeing you at the ship at a latter date, goodbye for now”. She turned to leave withJerec but before that rugged on the hands sleeve a little.

“Request, captain, would we be able to aquire some contains of the drink I was served, the taste was quite palatable and I would like a supply for the up coming trip if that is within our budget”. It always saves to buy in bulk, anyone knew that, besides there was no garentee their next stop would have the drink on tap in large quantities. It was best to get it here and now the risk it, also it wasn’t wise to say no to Ay.

Oh, they had an understanding all right. There would be no issue she would take with them, so long as they did not take one with her. Jerec was right about one thing, she wasn't concerned about being scammed; if he did so, he'd have made an enemy of the Darth, and that would be rather sad situation to find yourself in. It seemed time to depart, as the pair were ready to get underway, and Mal had a business deal to finish. Moving to leave, she gave the pair a nod; though she found Ay's comment rather interesting. "Yes, perhaps we can continue conversation on your craft. I'll see you on board, captain." With that, she left them behind. She turned her attention the business at hand, pushing a call directly to the man she wanted to speak with via her implants.

"Yes, Mister Dotchka, correct? It's Alana. You have an hour to sign our agreement. I'm on my way right now to ensure that there is no confusion about the terms." She could hear hesitation in his voice, a stuttering that showed he was trying to find some sort of leg to stand up to her on. Sadly he wouldn't get it, as she cut off the communication. It wasn't anything personal of course, it was just business. Once that matter was 'attended to', she would regroup with the pair within the hour. This day had been more eventful than she had planned initially.
