When old allies meet

She managed to sneak away from the academy so she could go and do what she normally, wonder around

Except this time she'd bring someone to the place where she'd end up, a man that she knew for his temper, loyalty , and teaching of how to use a salad fork properly

[member="Salvor Arnex"] would get this message-
From-stardust
To-salvor
Meet me a the danty lad on nar shadda, I leave the coordinates for it so you can find

She sent this and was on her way to nar shadda where shed enter the danty lad and find a corner booth to set down in, dressed in a robe to cover her face and weapons

Salvor Arnex was alone in his private quarters aboard his ship. It was not the most impressive vessel, a holdover from his days as warden of the shadow dynasty. It seemed all he had was left over from former days of glory, his ship and the men and woman that populated it were all from an era lost and forgotten.

Salvor Arnex was by most standards too young to be where he was. In less than two decades, the gold-skinned zabraki boy had started a slave, risen to the rank of knight amongst the sith and if that weren’t enough he had found himself right at the top of a dynasty, a leader of nations, a warlord of some small repute and what was he now? Some lowly mercenary who’d lost all he once had save for five-hundred loyal men and women left over from tens of thousands. Grown men and women put their faith in him an eighteen year old child, put their faith in him that he would not fail them, and he would not.

“Warden?” A voice came from the other side of the door. It belonged to the captain of his personal guard, another holdover from his time near the top of the dynasty. She was strong, smart, resilient, and attractive and above all, she was loyal and Salvor valued her greatly and though her position dictated that she need not stand guard outside his door, he was not shocked to hear it was her.

“Enter.” He replied as he opened the door with a simple wave of his hand.

In walked the captain of his guard Charisma Renaii, a woman of rare beauty though it was impossible to tell while she was clad in her armor.

“Warden, we received a transmission.” She told him.

“And?” He asked rather sharply. There was no need for her to bother him with this, someone could of easily patched the message through the comms.

“It came through an old Shadow Dynasty code.” She explained further peaking his interest.

She offered him a datapad and he read the message. It was from [member="stardust"] inviting to, Nar Shaddaa of all places. By the force he hated the huts and anything to do with them but it had been sometime since he had seen Stardust and her invitation was much unexpected.

Salvor could feel Cpt. Renaii watching him even from behind her helmet. “What?” He asked her.

“Nothing, Warden, it’s just that the crew probably could use some time to blow off steam.” She offered helpfully.

Salvor thought it over, part of him a very large part hated the idea of going to that piss hole of a hutt owned planet, yet another knew what Charisma said was right and there was the matter of Stardust contacting him out of the blue, still, the idea of his men running around Nar Shaddaa, it made him uneasy to say the least.

“Have the helmsman set course for Nar Shaddaa.” He conceded. Cpt. Renaii left with a nod and less than an hour later they were docked on Nar Shaddaa and his men were taking leave, well most of them, he still traveled with two members of gold company at his side.

It did not take him long to reach the danty lady. As the trio walked through the door Salvor was hit with the stench of about four Gamoreans sitting off in one corner playing what appeared to be their own version of pazzak. As for other clientele there hardly was any and yet the place still felt cramped due to it being less than half the size of a normal cantina on this force forsaken moon. After his eyes adjusted to the lack of light and his nose adjusted to the smell it was not hard to find Stardust, even cloaked as she was his imprint on the force was the same or close enough that there was no mistaking her.

While his former ally wore a set of robes to conceal herself and her weaponry, Salvor wore his brashly. He left his robes back on the ship so his attire consisted of black light combat armor with both his sabers hanging very visibly at his hip and a verpine shatter gun slung over his back. No he did not hide the fact he was armed and neither did his two armor clad guards.

Salvor crossed the bar in about three strides and stopped at the table in front of Stardust and bowed. “Lady, Stardust. A great pleasure to see you again, may I sit?”

Stardust could sense the man a light year away, always so brash at his presence. She saw him enter and grinned seeing him with two guards, so even when it died he still had people that followed him.

She watched him cross the cantina very quickly and stop at her table

She bowed herself and nodded for him to sit"always so polite you are, a pleasure to meet a old friend "her beauty hadn't changed besides her right arm now fully prosthetic and her face looking tired"

“The pleasure is entirely mine.” He said as he sat. There was very little truth to his words but he knew what role he played and how he was supposed to act.

“While it is good to see you again…” He said softly. “Why am I here?” He asked with a harsher tone.

She sat back grinning at him, a smug one almost like one smugglers had"well no reason at all just to meet and talk but however

She sat up and got serious looking at him"pretty sure you've heard of the war going on right?"she said taking a sip of her drink"thirsty?

“There are many wars on many worlds.” He answered her impatiently; he had little time for puzzles or riddles. “You’re going to have to be more specific.” He shook off her offer of a drink. Salvor did not partake, he had been drunk before when he was young and very rarely he would go out and drink with his men after a long or harrowing ordeal but tonight was not one of those nights, he would dull his senses around her.

She frowned some but nodded"the war between the repuic and its allies against the primeval and sith....I'm surprised you've not of this big we"she said taking a drink, her senses could not be dulled and she used it to her advantage, however she had no intention of doing him wrong

OK listen I'm sure you've got no job rught? What if I can offer you a job "she said smiling

Of course he had heard of the war between the Republic and the Sith. For karks sake he had fought against the republic at the side of the Sith. Their war was never ending, but that could mean profit for him and his men, though he preferred to work smaller scale and stay away from the major political players.

While her assumption that he could miss the war that was tearing the galaxy apart was slightly insulting it was nothing compared to her thinking he couldn’t find work. It was true that they had nothing going at the moment but for her to be so sure that they weren’t working was infuriating.

“What kind of job?” Salvor asked.

She chuckled lightly nodding to herself"well.... I work for a man running a...shipping business... He could use your men and ships however"she said setting up and looking at him"he won't be in charge of you...I will

A smuggler. How typical, He wasn’t surprised that she would be mixed up with those sorts of people. So Salvor was to provide men and ships, this smuggler must not be very good.

“What’s the job?” he asked her again ignoring her statement of working for her. He he worked for no one but himself but he could get along with her.

[member="stardust"]

“Your reasons are of no concern.” He told her dismissively. He cared nothing for the republic and less so for her trust of him.

“What do you require of me? How many ships? How many men? How far must we travel and what are we moving?” he asked.

"As are your credits" he responded.

"Should I tell 'Dell and Keev'a they need to commandeer a couple freighters?" His captain asked over the private comm channel she shared with Salvor and the other guard who had joined them. Salvor nodded in affirmation to her. Salvor knew [member="stardust"] had know way of hearing their conversation and if she were any normal being would probably have been confused by his nodding but her ability in force sense was as strong as Salvor had ever seen so it would not surprise him if she some how knew he was sharing a private conversation with his guard, even if she did not know the topic.

"It won't be easy." Charisma stated.

"It never is." The other guard told her. It was Haro, the youngest member of his personal guard. A young man of only twenty two, he had been promoted from the infantry after being the soul survivor of his fourty man unit that was lost in the dynasty's final days, Captain Raenaii had informed Salvor of Haro's heroism and suggested his promotion to be one of only five beings to rise as his guard.

"For that kind of commitment, we require fourty-thousand credits. Plus expenses." Salvor told Stardust.
