What the H E double hockey sticks is the deal.

So what's the deal with Red Dawn? Is it canceled? Are the corporate people just attacking because they're greedy? Or like what's the deal with Genevieve? Has she been dethroned already? Are we doing one last grand finale thread or what's the haps on the craps fooley Cooleys

Not sure [member="Commander Lusk"] as I'm not fully aware myself. A couple of threads have stalled for a few days. I know that Gen will be arrested and have a trial. But as to when that starts, I'm not sure..

I think a lot of people gave up the idea and just rapidly ushered in the next gen of the Senate thanks to some... rather quick and snappy businessfolk/Sith/h8rs not giving 3 seconds to launch an actual plot.

Anyway, I'm getting arrested, or fleeing to exile, or whatevers. Point is, Geneviève has not long to live in Republic space.

Corporations and factions reacted IC'ly to the plotline after the declaration of nationalization of corporate assets within Republic space.

Some folks didn't like that people outside the Republic reacted IC'ly and so the concept was canned for reasons.

Long and short its a big ball of mess, but fear not. Seems folks from both sides aren't letting the ooc get to them and are making strides to overcome said ball of mess to make the story interesting for all.

For starters this plot is not run or controlled by the GR staff. This is a common missunderstanding so its worth bringing up again.
Anyhow, from what I can gather:
The Red Dawn plot was heavily affected by many writers in a short period of time.
It made [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] take the decission to iniate her end plot more rapidly the what was initally intended.
I have tried to sum up the plot in this thread, not because we control it but because so many writers are contacting gr staff about the plot and what is happening.
The sum-up is merely a service to those who want to know more.

Like [member="Popo"] said, it is messy but folks are trying to make what can be made of it.
For now Gens coup IC never gave her much influence away from Chazwa. The Republic stood pretty united against her but her declerations still meant lots to characters not under Rep control. Companies and organisations reacted and took actions they saw as fitting responses.

Gen and her clones however, are more or less defeated or at least severely outgunned in most places.
The issues the GR faces now is not so much the clones or Gen but the other parties involved in the plot.

I think thats where we are. But again, its hard to get a good oversight so I am prob missing stuff.

I am very sorry that this got so out of hand, again the company nationalizing thing was never supposed to happen. But I'm sure this will all get resolved into a nice bow ICly.

Absolutely, the downside was that whatever the plot creators had in mind never had a chance to take off.
And with speed everyone jumped in on it we have had a hard time keeping up with everything.
But nothing has probably happened that would not have happened anyway, sooner or later.

On the bright side we now got an IC reason to shapen things up.

The thing that tears me up the most was how long that took to plan and execute. Months and hundreds of developing posts only for one thing to flush it down the drain. But I'm very excited to move forward and see something good come out of this

Well once the chips are deactivated I think a thread on the future of the clone army would be good.
I'm going to push for their emancipation. Any clones choosing to remain troopers can volunteer and join after that. Or that's what I plan to propose.

Most of them if not nearly all of them would want to stay with the republic, they've been programmed and taught all their life that their purpose was to defend it and honestly they'd be too scared or just not know how to function in a world without being in the military. While I can certainly see a few thousand of them wanting to leave I know from all the deving I did for them that they'd be willing to stick around, besides that way we could have an actual clone army for the republic now that they've been recognized board wide ^^

I think that sounds like a swell idea, especially considering what their creator [member="Patricia Susan Garter"] explained above.

All in due time though.

What they do is less important to me than giving them the choice and offering cross training to provide life skills not just combat skills. Does that seem like an OK story for your clones?
