Wet Works

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Location: Gromas

THe world was mostly desolate save for the mines, those were where everything was and getting some phrik was good for setting things up There was the city the jedi had been working in and on but more then that she had found interest in some of the high rises being built up. NOthing to extreme but you could fit within a mega block tens of thousands of people and they were made to be self sustaining.THe miners and people living there making the best of what they could instead of just getting shanty towns across the planet to be close to the work.,.. and work there was as Matsu was heading out to the mines that Sasori controlled to get another shipment of the phrik.

"So you want me to steal some phrik?"

The voice of a lone cloaked woman would resonate from under her hood not far from Matsu's location as she walked beside a man that seemed to be relatively poor-looking, wearing only but a dusty grey shirt and white work pants for clothes along with a set of brown mining boots. The guy, a Human, looked so unimpressive that even the mercenary, for that is what the true job of this woman is even to this day, was not really believing was the guy was trying to get her to do.

At the previous asked questions, the man would simply smile and nod like a little dummy.

"Yes!"

"Yes? Okay, and how much of an idiot do you think I am? Do you freaking understand how much this thing costs when it comes in packs? Even the money addict that I am doesn't even know how much this could get me! What will you do with all those credits?"

"Buy myself a house!"

"Buy..... What? No! That's..... That's stupid. No, I'm sorry, but this is so freaking stupid, I just can't stand it. I'm dead serious. You called me out here, a mercenary, to steal some phrik because it seems you don't want to mine it yourself, just to get yourself a proper house. Now that's cute and all, but what about me? What about MY share? I mean, do I really have to explain to you that I must be the one doing the job here?"

"Yes! I thought you could do it for free!"

"What?! NO! No, that's just so..... that's just..... No, I'm not dealing with this kind of idiocy. You're one of a kind. Seriously, you must be. There's no other explanations. Now, goodbye, and don't EVER freaking call me again to such a wasteland of a planet to steal you some stuff! I deal with professionals, and you surely aren't one in light years!"

The cloaked woman would then scramble off, huffing. In no way she was going to steal some phrik, especially from where that guy wanted her to go to. Apparently, he wanted her to steal some phrik from a mine that was owned by somebody named Sasori. She had never heard of the guy herself, but the fact that he was known was a pretty dangerous thing alone, and security was probably expected against thieves and burglars.

Matsu continued to work to make sure the shipments were ready and on time, sending out the information for the main city they ship from with the cargo maulers. More information for private security to come along and work on some of the things. The ship was docked so she was happy and paying bounty hunters to go after and protect the routes well it gave them all a chance to get some phrik for themselves and credits in the end. So good on them before she sat down to meditate letting the force reach out and feel the transports, the jedi researchers with them and the ones protecting them.

As she would start heading back towards her spaceport, the cloaked woman would grumble in both anger and disbelief, not believing the fact that she had been dragged to this dusty mess of a gas planet just because a really, really close-minded person tried to get her to steal something that was as valuable as phrik shipments for no charges at all. She was a MER-CE-NA-RY. What was so hard to understand in such an obvious word?! Mercenaries are supposed to be compensated for their hard work! If no prizes are reserved for the things they have done for their client, well, things might go very badly! She was lucky to find out that this dummy tried to dupe her into doing this for free, else she would had probably made sure that he would had been in pain for a very long time.

"What an idiot!"

She would mutter under her cloak, then stop once she would notice that she was actually close to a docked ship that seemed to be secured by a bunch of Bounty Hunters surrounding researcher-looking people. You know, the intellectual-looking, those either stuck in their books or the Force. Once, the woman was like that, "stuck in the Force". She liked it, she liked having powers like no other.... But now, she didn't had any powers anymore, and she couldn't help but sigh at the fact that, once again, slapped on her face.

"Jedi."

She tried to ignore the researchers, then headed for her own ship, not actually noticing that another Jedi was meditating on the ground. Quickly stopping once she finally noticed, and that was just before she actually fell on the meditating person, she would grumble, then huff.

"You could had taken another meditating spot, Jedi."

"Possibly but htis is a nice spot." She said it with a smile on her face while helping the others and slowly rose up. The milling of the researchers and those protecting them before she stood to the side for the new one that had come. "Are you here with the others answering the offer? Credits and phrik for protection? Then thank you if you are, I know it can be a bother and not all of the researchers we have are the best suited for field work." She knew that was why some of them had come to work in the labs and mechanical divisions instead of just going out to help the galaxy. Some just wanted to study the rocks.

Zara

"Yeah, well, it's a nice spot, that is in the middle of the road. Move."

The cloaked woman would huff and reply with harsh words, clearly unaffected by the Jedi's words and smile. In fact, all the smile did was to actually aggravate her anger, because, no matter how hard she tried to ignore it, the meditating woman would remind the cloaked woman how she once wielded the lightsaber and the Force with ease, and was one of their own.

Then, the Jedi would ask her if she had came here for an offer, which would instantly calm the cloaked woman as she tilted her head curiously to the right.
"Eh?"

After the Jedi would fully explain, she would stand there, dumbfounded, then realize that she was actually given an offer right here that could allow her to get some credits and even some phrik. What an interesting deal. Seeing as she had been working on some schematics that would allow her to manually upgrade her body within an autonomous manner, both credits and some material would be needed for the plans to give any results. It seemed that it was now her chance.

"Oh, uh, yeah, I totally came for the offer thingy."

She would instantly change her behavior, crossing her arms.

"How much credits are we talking about, though?"

"How many would you like? within a reason of course." She offered it with a small pouch of the high value credit chits for larger transactions and buying airspeeders. Usually as much as the mercenaries on the trade moon demanded up front. "The rest upon completion. We are getting phrik from our mines ont he world and transporting it back. Sometimes there are pirates and sometimes thieves but not heavily armed. Combat is not demanded but if they ttack I cannot say what happens to all the things." She might be a jedi and against killing but death was a constant danger and if the choice was between saving the life of one of her researchers with a family that she knew and someone shooting at them. She'd save the familiar one faster then most.

Zara

Meet the Merc Droid
"Oh."

A small voice would reach the throat of the cloaked woman as the Jedi would offer her a small pouch full of high value credits chits, which the primer guessed that it was only a portion of the entire transaction that could be possibly offered to her if she would actually take the job. Her hand on her metallic chin, she would think about the job for a little bit, then shrug. Eh, why the hell not? I mean, it was just a simple protection job, so might as well go on it and grab some cash along the way. Besides, if the people attacking the researchers were simple pirates and thieves that weren't even heavily armed to begin with, the cloaked woman won't even need to use her weapons to get rid of them.

"I'll take it. Count me in, Jedi."

The woman would nod to the Jedi, then look towards the vehicles that they needed to escort towards the mines. Huh, they were pretty big; after all, those were vehicles specialized in bringing back minerals. Already, she could tell why pirates were so interested in those things, seeing as it just looked like a gigantic pile of money begging to be stolen.

"You might spare the filth that attack those vehicles, but let me tell you that they are not worth sparing. Those guys will always want to steal your precious little treasures before anything else, and they won't hesitate to attack you on sight if they understand that you won't let them get what they're looking for."

She would then look back towards Matsu, revealing the white LEDs under her hood. Huh.... Was this woman a Droid?

"If I see someone that is armed and trying to take over the ship, I will be shooting anything on sight that looks hostile. This isn't a question about the Light Side or the Dark Side or whatever you're believing in: it's a question of life and death."

She then headed towards the ship, joining the other people that were preparing themselves to reach the mines.

"Fair enough." Matsu wasn't one to argue some of the things and yes she agreed at times. Jedi might find all life sacred but ah there was a point when people were shooting or trying to stab you that part of you brain says it is more practical to defend and attack back to get them to stop. Best way to handle someone throwing their weight around if they won't let you ignore them is to punch them in the face to get them to stop. "This way." She was leading the way and the large transports with the mining droids platforms were there while they were starting to head out. Matsu went ot the top of one of the crates looking out over everything while it started speeding away out int the desert leaving the makeshift town alone.

Zara

Nodding, the cloaked woman would follow behind Matsu as she was told to do so, entering the large transport vehicles that would then finally start heading towards the desert ahead, leaving the almost crumbling town. Meanwhile, the woman would stare at the Jedi as she started looking out for everything to see if the material and cargo were still intact, then call towards her.

"If you need anything taken care of, Jedi, just call my name and I'll be there. Name's Zara. Remember that."

She would then head away from the crates for a small while and take some walks here and there to see if everything was still intact when it came to machinery and the people's own skills when it came to defend this placed properly, her DLT-19 rifle in her hands. What she was able to conclude from this little walk was rather detrimental, however: though most mercenaries and bodyguards around here were either Mandalorians or Humans, some of them looked.... extremely shady, as in the kind of person that would usually suddenly decide to kill you from behind at any given time. They clearly were here for the money, but Zara, the cloaked woman, knew that something was up between these people.

Then, suddenly, she heard a bump coming from her shoulder and turned her head, only for her eyes to meet with another Droid that was actually close to her own design, although not cloaked and mostly similar to how an Assassin Droid would look like. The robot had a golden paint job, and blue-ish LEDs for eyes, and it looked quite bulky.

"You...."

"What the....?"

Zara would frown and back off at the female voice coming from the Droid itself, which looked.... strangely similar to her own voice. Before she could talk back, however, the Droid would point at her and tremble.

"Stay away from me....."

"Eh?!"

"Do not touch me, do not approach me.... You are not normal.... You are but another one of my true selves."

The cloaked Android would stare at the other Droid with a deeper frown, then snarl.

"Stupid Droid. Fine, I won't touch you! Besides, you're the one who touched me in the first place!"

She rolled her eyes, then headed away from the Assassin Droid towards the top of the vehicle once again, where she would stare at the desert and look out for any pirates or thieves that would try raiding the ship. What the hell was that about? That Droid must have been malfunctioning or something..... Whatever the case may be, it was probably one of the mercenaries that Jedi hired, and she couldn't really believe why she has decided to take on with her such a wreck of a Droid in the first place.

"Stupid Droid..."

She would huff, then take aim towards the desert, waiting patiently.

Matsu bowed her head hearing her name Zara while she was looking over some of the things sitting there and watching. She could hear and sense most of the things, the field detection great for seensing droids... and communicators... and electronic devices. Alright so droids and cyborgs it wasn't the best but compared to other skills jedi couldn't sense them with it wasn't exactly that bad before she was watching and it seemed strnge when one of the probe droids was talking with her. In the distance there was the sight and sounds of some of the things coming at them before she was allowing her attention to go off towards the horizon while airspeeders were coming over a dune. "We might have company Zara."

Zara

Meet the Merc Droid
"I noticed!"

Zara would call back, huffing as she would her blaster rifle with a firm grip in her hands, then pull it up and aim towards the incoming speeders in the distance, frowning in concentration as her systems, adapting to the situation at hand, would quickly adapt themselves to the scope-less weapon she had in her hand and form one single dot on her heads-up display after it would zoom accordingly for a clearer view, visualizing the targets and marking them in a bright red color as weapons were quickly detected on them.

They were definitely Pirates, that was for sure.

"I'm taking the shot! Those guys have weapons!"

Taking aim towards one of the speeders' owners, the Android would quickly position the dot within her heads-up display while aiming, then pull the trigger as one swift, but precise laser beam blast would resonate from the cannon of her weapon, then reach her target in the distance, making the driver let out a short scream of pain in the distance before falling into the sand dunes, probably already dead by now. The others would stare at the body for a second, then speed up their vehicles to make sure they would be able to get a hold of the shooter themselves.

Zara, frowning, would start shooting once again, taking out one of the passengers on the speeders that was trying to take aim towards her.

"They're coming in hot!"

Matsu heard the woman while she got an idea of the things. She had been hoping they were not a threat or coming after them while her attention went to the speeders with the jedi master rising up and speaking. "Keep the transports going." A smirk was on her face while she climbed up to look out towards the speeders and grabbed her blster. The force light blaster had been getting some upgrades to it to use and she ran a hand along the top of it to focus the force energy into the solari and focusing crystals to make it hum with the lightside of the force before she was taking aim and firing a single shot instead of the three round bursts but it was more powerful striking one of the men in the air while the thing hung limb.

Zara

Meet the Merc Droid
Zara would shoot down at least three more speeder pilots with her rifle and would continue to aim towards her enemies with relentless efforts, keeping her shots precise and steady, swift and powerful. In fact, she was pretty surprised at how weak these pirates' arsenal and skills were, seeing as she had fought so many bad guys in the past that were much stronger than they will probably ever be.

As she would take yet another speeder pilot down, she would frown once she would hear Matsu's voice, and, as a result, would quickly take a peek towards her, huffing.

"If you get shot by those snipers, Jedi, don't blame me!"

She would roll her eyes, then frown once she would finally set her eyes on Matsu's weapon, which made her lose her focus towards the enemy and look at it within an interrogative manner.

"What the...."

Her metallic eyebrows were brought up as soon as the blaster let out its powerful energy blast towards the men riding over the dunes, attaining one straight in the chest and sending it flying down straight into the sound, his dead body still fuming as he landed. The Android, surprised, would stare at the weapon. What the hell was that thing? That was no normal blaster. It must had been modified to have attained such firepower.

"Huh...."

She would then call.

"That's a powerful weapon you got there! Never knew Jedi were into illegal modifications!"

She would assume, seeing as she had no actual knowledge of Force-imbued weapons and equipment at the time.

Matsu looked at the man and the modifications they had been doing to the force weapon to make it stronger against sithspawn and darksiders was there but more then that she had not expected that sort of strength. "That was unexpected." She was genuinely surprised and thinking about it for a moment while messing more with the Sasori Light Gun while she was charging it upwith more energy and spoke. "We've been tinkering with the power output making it more to take now sithspawn monsters but." She trailed off because it was something interesting and fun she could work on more. Exploring the depths that the light gun could go and if it could penetrate the hide of some of the larger creatures well then she was all for that.

Zara

Meet the Merc Droid
"Sithspawn?"

Zara would stare at Matsu silently, as if she was completely dumbfounded by this revelation about the Jedi's weapon despite the lack of emotions on her metallic face. She would then slowly turn her head back towards the upcoming speeders, which were now driving a bit further away from the carrier vehicle her and the Jedi were on at the moment, shooting from afar with their blaster rifles with relatively poor accuracy, which would had almost made the Droid laugh if it wasn't for her deadpanning state.

"So, you're saying that those guys are jumbo mumbos created by a Sith?"

She would ask, frowning as, in the meantime, she would keep shooting towards the Pirates in the distance with no relative change to her incredible, pin-point accuracy. At this point, now that she was finally focusing herself entirely on the shooting, most of the Pirates that she would shoot towards would basically have a hole in their heads after they would see the shot coming. However, unfortunately for the mercenary and the passengers of the carrier vehicle, the men that were being gunned down were quickly replaced with other speeder bikes that, this time, were not as cowardly as their predecessors, now rushing directly towards the vehicle with blasters set on an automatic rate of fire, which would surprise Zara and quickly make her get cover behind one of the steel crates laying onboard.

Thankfully, she was fast enough to not have received any shots from the upcoming Pirates, but that was definitely a close call. Quickly taking a peek from behind the crate, she would frown once she noticed that the rushing Pirates were not in sight anymore and she would guess the worst, rushing forward, then looking over the ramp of the vehicle.

What she would receive was a shot that was passed right beside her head, and a view of about five Pirates that were slowly starting to climb up the vehicle to embark on it and raid the entire thing through. Huffing, the Droid would quickly jump back, then put her blaster rifle on her back before taking her DL-7H blaster pistols out of their holsters and calling towards the Jedi.

"Push those sons of Hutts over!"

No these things weren't they were people flesh and blood maybe some implants but people not monsters. The jedi just still had the weapon able to work for a purpose that could be applied to some of the new things here. "No but the force is able to go after several things." A smirk on her face while she could use this likely to knock away larger beasts while she drew out her sabers and the z shaped phrik hilts were interlocked seeing the speeders back there. She could push most of her attention while drawing the single hilt to her off hand for what she wanted activating it with a snap hiss and dancing almost on the vehicle to dodge and deflect the shots. Sending the force into her hand while she threw it with the disc blade activating as it spun in a snap hiss disconnecting into two as they slashed and were guided towards the engines with one speeder falling forward into the sand as it flipped over and over. Th discs following them and continuing to spin like twin rings of death and destruction as the crystals inside hummed bringing it back to her hand.

Zara

Meet the Merc Droid
The Android, her, would simply watch the Jedi have her little fun with her throwing disks of death with a small bit of annoyance. Yay, woo-ooh, the Jedi are so cool and awesome, yaaaay...... Ugh. Zara hated these fighting styles so, so much. Why be so stylish? In a fight, there is only one thing to do, and that is to kill the enemy before it kills you first. Being so stylish and literally almost open to any attacks, whether it's from behind or above, makes absolutely no sense for the Droid, and she has been a Jedi in the past too! Huffing, the Droid would shake her head, then go back to shooting some more people that were incoming towards the vehicle, slowly starting to put her pistols back to their holsters seeing as the people that were desperately trying to climb up the ship has quite literally been destroyed by the Jedi alone.

However, once she was just about to put them in their holsters, she would frown once she would notice that her sensors were able to capt something that was actually under them, marked by a red circle.

"The hell....?"

She would frown, then hear something bump against the floor of the vehicle beside her. Turning her head towards what it was, her frown would deepen once she realized that it was actually the corpse of one of the Mandalorian guards that had a hole in his chest spanning from his belly button to the neck. Zara quickly went towards the body, then huff.

"Lightsaber wounds...."

She turned her head towards the Jedi, then called.

"Jedi! We got someone that's killing people inside with a Lightsaber!"

That had surprised Matsu as she was standing there with a small look of concern.... Oh things could never be easy could they? She said it as much to herself in her head as anything not really wanting to say it out loud and break her composure. She had her discsaber back on her hip while holding the saber in her hand and moving with it. She went over looking over some of the wounds and wqs saddened by that as she wondered what might come of it. The sisters were not the most happy about losing their own and with Dxun gone well they chose to try and work hard towards staying together. Her saber deactivating while the mines were in the distance and there were a couple more speeders and ships there. "Looks like a party." She said it and was almost happy, excitement broke up the boredom of sitting there just letting the transports gp back and forth. She liked a good hutt going after things or pirates.
