Strengths: Mobile- The WESTAR Rogue Armor is designed with mobility in mind. This is achieved by covering as little of the armor in the stiff flexarmor plates as possible and leaving places such as the joints only covered in armorweave. Thanks to this, the wearer can move with as close to natural flexibility and movement as possible. The light weight also means that the wearer is able to move faster than they would in heavier armors.
Protection- The WESTAR Rogue Armor is more protective than most light armors. This is achieved by the use of armorweave and flexarmor being the main components of its design. Both materials provide higher levels of protection for their weight than most other materials. The protection is further increased by use of silicar. While it does not offer any additional protection from blaster or slug rounds, it does provide protection from corrosives, heat, cold, and electricity. The use of duraplast for the helmet also adds additional protection.
Weaknesses: Light Weight- The WESTAR Rogue Armor is an armor designed to be light weight, which means it suffers from offering less protection than a heavier armor would. While the armor does include flexarmor in its protection, the main material used is armorweave and it can only protect from so much. This means it can not take nearly as much abuse as medium and heavy armors.
Repairs- The WESTAR Rogue Armor uses both silicar and flexarmor in its design, which makes it difficult to repair. When components become damaged it is far easier to replace than to repair them. This means the armor can be nearly impossible to fix out in the field without replacement parts on hand.

Description: WESTAR was looking to further expand their line of armors. They looked at the market and saw that there was a plethora of medium and heavy armors offered, but little to no light variants out there. So they got to work trying to design a good set of light armor that could be used by the type who needed the speed and mobility over the raw protection from their armor. They drew inspiration from their WESTAR Skirmisher Armor and used similar materials and techniques in its design.

The WESTAR Rogue Armor at its base is a bodyglove made from two layers of armorweave with a silicar lining between them. Then plates of armorweave and silicar layered back to back until an appropriate thickness was achieved over the torso to provide some protection of vital organs. The same plates were then used with leather to create the gauntlets and boots. The armor was then finished up by creating the helmet out of duraplast layered with silicar in the same way that the flexarmor plates were. A lens made out of silicar was used to retain the protection that it offers to the reason of the armor.

They finished up the armor by giving it features to enhance its utility. The wrists and back plate were designed so that attachments could be added to them with little to no issues. A large pouch was attached to each leg to allow for the user to carry items even if they lack a belt with pouches on it. The entire armor was vacuum sealed to allow for the ability to space walk along with magnetic locks to boots. The helmet was given an HUD with both night vision and heat vision. A communication system was added to the helmet that can both be voice activated and activated from the side of the helmet. A binocular was added that can be lowered or raised. The last features to finish up the armor was a rebreather and oxygen tank with 30 minutes of air were attached. No regulation for body temperature was added because the the silicar used in the armor gives it this feature naturally.

Yes. I should just reword that so it is not so confusing. There are areas covered in flexarmor, but it is mostly armorweave being used. The flexarmor areas are the torso, shoulders, forearms, and some on the boots.
