Description: The WESTAR-34 favors agility and precision over high capacity and was designed for close range use for. The pistol features weight minimizing options and are made of an expensive Dallorian alloy which can withstand sustained-firing heating that would melt more ordinary ranged weapons.

This looks pretty good. As a sidenote, since this is a canon item, you don't necessarily have to make a Chaos submission in order for your company to produce it.

Effective Range: 200m

For whatever reason, blasters tend to have a shorter range tha most modern slugthrowers. As per Wookieepedia article on blasters, optimum range is typically 30 meters, with a max range of 120 meters. Now there certainly are some exceptions to that, but they generally have some other quality that offsets that range advantage.
