Weapons of Mass Conversion

As Korogum gripped the irregularly long hilt of his newly crafted weapon, he reveled in the idea of it's potential potency. Standing in the training room for the Jen'Qo's Crusaders though, he knew it would take practice and time to realize that potential. This weapon would never work with the common lightsaber forms, and he realized this quickly upon formulating it. However, he knew he would need to create this weapon nonetheless, as a spear of righteousness to slay any enemy that stand against either him, or the Jen'Qo.

"You fight, and die for me, only until you are strong enough to fight and die for yourself."

These words echoed through Korogum's mind as he gripped the shaft of this new weapon tighter, giving it a simple, slow flourish.

"Quiet, my goals are my own, and you are not the one dictating them."

Korogum spoke out plainly against the words echoed through his mind, striding over to the training bot section of the room.

He gave his saber spear one last flourish before activating one end, gripping the hilt tight in his hands before using the other end of the weapon to press a button behind him that began the training sequence as he walked back to the center of the area.

As five hovering orblike droids pop out of the floor around him, Korogum let's go of his current attachment to the world, letting the raw connection to the force flow through him, up through his arms and into his weapons' shaft. Two of the droids fire their energy discharges at him, but are met with the crimson of his activated blade. Korogum pulls the blade end closer to his center, realizing he'd be leaving himself open from the side; This weapon will take some getting used too.

Pressing the length of the hilt against his side, Korogum turns the blade into another oncoming bolt, the angle barely grazing it past his face. Loosening the hilt from his side, he swings the other blade into the air behind him after promptly activating it, almost hitting the droid that had been hovering ever closer to his back. Korogum pondered what his potential range could actually be with this new weapon, before returning to himself and sending a cautious swing towards a pair of the hovering droids.

"Defense isn't going to be my strong suit with this weapon, I'll have to rely on a heavy attack to make sure no one can get any hits in on me."

Korogum raised his weapon in front of his body, giving it a solid flourish before activating the opposite end from him, and swinging it by the very edge of the hilt at one of the droids, cleaving it in half from a solid two meters away, before returning the weapon to his center, and deflecting a bolt fired at him into the ground. Korogum then gave the weapon another flourish, before deflecting a bolt with the top end of the weapon, and then switching the sides of activation, digging the bottom blade up through the floor and into another droid's underside, bisecting it vertically.

"Even against droids, the distance I can reach with this is incredible..."

A bolt hitting him square in the back knocks Korogum back to his senses, as he visciously swings around and swipes at the attacker, but he only succeeds in slamming his hilt against the droid's spherical form.

"Damn, I need to keep my range in mind, it's a strength, but also a weakness if anyone get's too close..."

Korogum twirled the long hilt of his spear in a solid flourish before deactivating it, and ending the training exercise. Not content with his current combat performance, he sought after any information that could pertain to such a fighting form.

Korogum tightened his grip on his spear as he traveled out of the training center, and into the older part of their Alzoc Outpost, travelling deep into its historical halls to find the grand library within.

Pulling a number of articles, both new and old, dusty and crisp, Korogum sat down at a desk within the center of the room, flipping through pages of text detailing the different kinds of combat performed with Melee weapons, particularly Lightsabers.

"Shii-Cho, seems more my style, but still lacks in the range department. Juyo, Sithlike, these steps and techniques seem to reflect our fighting styles very well, but again, it does not detail anything that could be used in conjunction with a weapon such as mine..."

Korogum lay the tome down and pondered for a moment, glancing between different pages he had opened on the desk.

"Perhaps...there is no current form that encompasses the use of a spear-like weapon. I may very well need to create my own..."

With that, Korogum decided to pick different techniques and stances, along with attack patterns from different available forms, jotting down some notes and returning the articles to their places within the library again, before heading out to the main foyer of the base.

"I think I'll practice this outside, no use in digging up the floor anymore than I already have in the training room."

Korogum thought a bit meekly, knowing he'd most likely be the one that would be fixing it.
