It was a long fight.

Deadlock and his partner fought Khaostra Devoid Khaostra Devoid to a standstill but before the final blow was struck, Deadlock hit his partner across the face with his blaster pistol knocking him out. Despite getting paid a handsome some of credits, Deadlock couldn't bring himself to kill Khaos, they promised that if they met again in the future, they would travel the Galaxy together and that was something that he Deadlock wanted to uphold. He wasn't sure that Khaos would feel the same way though. The Bounty Hunter was in one of the many medical facilities sitting across from an unconscious Khaos who was lying in a white bed. She had been comatose for about a week now. This wasn't part of the mission, Deadlock should be investigating the growing Sith presence in the Outer Rim but he couldn't help but feel attached to Khaos whom she herself was a Dark Sider.

Was it the wrong thing to do? Perhaps but if the worst-case scenario happens then Deadlock was more than ready to take her down. She wasn't the first Dark Sider that Deadlock took on and won. However, he hoped it wouldn't be the case.

Khaos found herself in the middle of the jungle voices all around her speaking to her in judgement. Though no faces could be seen, and no animals heard the voices were loud and booming. They were telling her this was all a dream and that it was time for her to leave this place. She looked back over her shoulder at hut she had created with her own bare hands which seemed to have taken her months. After looking at it for a moment she returned her head forward and closed her eyes once more as she sat there meditating on a rock. One by one she slowly shut out the voices calling to her and focused on the sound of a nearby running stream. She took in several deep breaths as last voice left her mind leaving her in silence and peace once again.

Slowly she felt the calm wash over her like the waters of the stream she focused on. She felt refreshed as she began to breath more easily. Before this place she remembered the cave on Dathomir and two bounty hunters coming after one she knew and the other, she didn't. Then she woke up here in this jungle a wild world but not as treacherous as her adoptive home world of Dathomir. Here she could drowned out the noise of the Plants calling to her with ease. In these quiet moments she was truly at peace, maybe this was her heaven was a thought that crossed her mind.

The Plants told her she need to leave awake once more, but in truth Khaos was just tired and she didn't want to fight anymore. War had ruled her world for so long now and she didn't think she would ever be able to break away from it. After all the Rebels blood ran through her veins conflict is what drove them forward. If she left she knew it would be more of the same inescapable strife. Yet she knew there would come a time when she had to return as much as she wanted this to be her heaven at the end of the long road of life it wasn't. She always knew this place wasn't the end she was cursed as was everyone in her family they had no heaven or hell there soul damned to walk the road of pain and suffering that was existence. She then whispered to herself in this moment of peace.

"Time to Wake Up Now. Once more into Void."

Orange glowing orbs eyes fluttered open with confusion as she looked around at her surroundings. Sterile white walls and bed coverings. The air was stale and sterile too, she could make out the scent of a man nearby. Her eyes focused as she saw him slightly dozing off in a chair nearby her bed. It was one the bounty hunters the one she knew and had met awhile ago. Her mind was trying to connect the dots coming out of the webs of mind confusion everyone has when they are just waking up. His name was Lance…Lancer she remembered still she was confused by his presences last she remembered he was out to kill her along with his partner.

It wasn't long and she realized she was in a Medical Facility and sat up and quietly began pulling monitoring devices of herself. Then slide her body to one side of the bed letting her feet and legs hang over the edge. She looked around seeing her belongings neatly folded and stack in pile on a nearby table. "Umph." She grunted as she dropped to her feet not as quietly as she would like and began to limp over to her things. Her muscles were sore, and she had several bruises and wounds on her body. Slowly she began to get dressed trying to remain quiet. She stopped as she slide her undershirt on and looked at the faint glow of the holo TV playing in the room the sound of it was very soft. The news was on and it was talking about a conflict on Metellos. The reporter talked that Alliance had succeeded in defending the world. Then they mentioned the one responsible for a terrorist act on Byss several years ago had been identified and eliminated they were also identified as one of the leaders of the Maw. The name Tegan Starfall splashed across the screen with a hand drawn picture of the woman. "That B ain't dead nothing short of throwing her into a sun will kill her. Even that probably won't work." Khaos muttered to herself a little to loudly enough that Lancer would stir from his sleep.

As Lance watched the Holotv he felt his eyelids become heavy as if they were made out of stone. He had been watching over Khaos for hours now, the news already told everything he already knew. SJC command had debriefed Lance over his "successful" mission to take out the Sith Sorceress but in truth he saved Khaos and took her to the remote fringes of the Outer Rim. The Bounty Hunter's body relax his mind slowly drifting to sleep until he heard a noise, sounds of frustrated mumbling. All Lance could hear was that the B wasn't dead.

"Don't you mean female Dog?" Lance opened one of his eyes watching Khaos wearing nothing more than her tight blue pants and an undershirt. "Yeah Teagan's one of the most wanted Sith Lords in the Galaxy. Her Bounty is close 5 billion credits last I heard, but no one is going to take her on though. It'll be like trying to fight a Rancor with your bare hands. Sith Lords who can take out armies with a wave of their hands is a little too much for even a seasoned mercenary to fight. You gotta be stupid or suicidal to fight her."

He chuckled before slowly getting up and stretching. "But enough about Teagan," Lance said. "Let's talk about you Khaos, remember a year ago when you promised to travel with me across the galaxy? I still remember that, and I still want go on that adventure. How do you feel though? Hope I didn't hit too hard."

"Yeah, that what I mean!" She answered startled by the man she wasn't trying to awaken well she got dressed. Though it was more complicated then that to that to Khaos, deep down a part of her love Tegan even though she absolutely despised the woman now. She knew exactly what the Tegan had suffered through to become what she was. It was because the memories she had had imparted on Khaos partly to make her understand and to punish her. The Galaxy saw Tegan as an evil woman, but Khaos had seen her as a complicated one. Though Khaos tried not to dwell on that to much as she got dressed.

"I'm sorry to wake you." She said oddly politely for someone who had warred alongside the Maw. In truth Khaos had hoped to slip out before the man awoke. She didn't want to complicate there relationship more beyond that of acquaintance after they had meet and then met again where he apparently saved her life. Khoas had never been one for long term friendships, in fact the last friend she had only lasted a few hours before her mother ruined it and Khaos choose to disappear.

Then he commented about Tegan being a sith master it made her laugh as she began to slip on her pants on. "Don't let her hear that, The Sith hate her almost as much as she hates them. She is a witch of the Dark Coven, sith are one of their worst enemies." She answered matter of factly as if she knew the woman deeply, which she did but most were not aware of. In fact Khaos knew if Tegan heard Lancer call her that she would have cut the man down with out a second thought. "Tegan was exiled by the sith long ago, she has not associated with empires that descended from Soeht Soeht Legacies in hundreds of years." The the size of the woman bounty hardly surprised Khaos she if the Galaxy only knew half the crap the Tegan was involved the price would nearly be priceless in comparison to anyone else's. "Also, it's Teh-Gun not Tea-Gan." Emphasizing the pronunciation as many got it wrong and how it imperforated the woman. Khaos seemed to admire and yet hated Tegan at the same time.

"Would you be surprised if I told I you I have fought with her many times and survived to tell the tale?"
It was it funny to Khaos on some level how the Galaxy preserved Tegan compared to her. Khaos knew the woman was beyond any form of redemption. Still Khaos knew Tegan in a very different light, only a few would ever experience. Don't be fooled the woman was cruel to even her own blood but her punishments where ever so subtly less on those she loved.

The lance tried to change the subject to Khaos herself, yet Khaos wasn't sure how to respond. For as long as she had know her life was about the woman on the news Tegan Starfall. Everything had revolved around that woman for Khaos. He asked about her promise, to which Khaos had made many promises but never followed though with. Then he asked how she felt was a question again she never had been asked not even by here mother. That was when she realized Lance didn't even know the truth of half of it. "I guess I am to much like my mother I am never true to my word." She sighed knowing the pain she felt inside would subside and she was doomed to this existence in real space like all he ancestors. She looked up at the news broadcast and took a dep breath. "I will survive like my mother death is just a momentary glimpse at something we can never achieve." She closed her eyes and thinking for moment as she finished the top button of her pants. "Tegan is my mother.' Revealing how she knew so much about the woman and she fully expected the Lancer to pull a blaster an attempt to kill her there and then.
