[Silas Westgard]

As of late, Silas had been itching to take on one of his counterparts in a fight. Not in a hateful way, but to help develop each other's skills when it comes to facing force sensitives in hand to hand combat. They were always taught to never lose their lightsaber, however, sooner or later a Jedi a Jedi would have to defend themselves through other means. Silas had already done it a number of times and he doubted it would be the last. So, instead of training alone like he usually did he put out a request, or a challange of sorts. All he required them to do was show up at a late time in training gear, nothing more, nothing less.

Seeing the time strike midnight, Silas began to stretch off on the mats and prepare his body for the training ahead. Injuring himself in the middle of a spar was not on the books, especially if he had been waiting all that time for someone to arrive. For now, there didn't even seem to be a soul outside of the temple gym.

If no one came in five minutes, Silas was going to have to pick a fight with the annoying fighter known as the shadow. If anything, it would be nice to face something physical for once...

There had been a request for a sparring, hand to hand combat in the middle of the night with not much else stated. This had Lily instantly interested in the idea. She loved sparring others and she was always thrilled to improve her skills as well as helping others grow. There were a few other Padawans that Lily had been sparring with and pushing them to be better, similar ways that they had let her grow and help her understand ways to use the Force while fighting too.

Arriving exactly on time, she met with someone that she had no recognition of. Lily had met a few people of the NJO but she had not met everyone, she had no idea who this was, what skills they have and whether they were seeking to spar all night long. Removing her training saber, she placed to one side. Tying her hair into a tight bun, ensuring the hair was out of her eyes and let her focus on the fight ahead.

"Lily Decoria. Jedi Padawan." Lily introduced herself, simple but to the point. Her tight outfit showed off her figure but as an Echani it meant that she could fight comfortable and fiercely without concern.

Looking up from his streches Silas caught sight of a woman walking through the entrance. The knight leaned back up and nodded over to her when she introduced herself "Good to meet you Lily. The name is Silas, Silas Westgard" he said with a brief smile before going back into full concentration. He had to be mindful that she was only a padawan and still learning her way around things. However, if he went too soft she wasn't going to be learning anything from this experience.

"You know the rules, nothing dirty like eye pokes or going between the legs. I don't want to be going into my next assignment walking like I've shit myself" he reminded Lily, his feet keeping active as he walked out of the corner.

"Anymore questions before we start?"

"So, just got to make sure you are walking to the assignment like a 90 year old man instead?" Lily teased, she was feeling confident even though she had no idea if Silas was a Padawan, Knight or Master. It was bold but Lily was trained to always be confident in a fight, to lose focus or confidence could mean her death. So she held herself as someone who could already win this altercation and ensure that Silas would be the loser. Even though, there was no guarantee that she would come close to winning. Nor was there a chance that she would even land a blow.

She shook her head when asked if there were any more questions. It was simple enough and she knew the rules. Lily was content with that and stretched her arms out. Her body was at its strongest once again. The injuries and weakness from her imprisonment with the Mandalorians had faded away, though the memories lingered still. Her body was made to fight and she was prepared to overwhelm Silas with her strength if given the chance.

Standing opposite Silas, she held her arms up high, settling into her well versed Echani form. Holding the stance, she waited for her opponent to make the first move. Curious to see what style of combat he would use to fight her, if there were ways to use the Jedi fighting forms without the Lightsaber in hand. Or if he had training in other hand to hand combat forms.

"Ha, nice joke," the knight said with a roll of his eyes before slowly raising his hands up in front of him. His style was quite laid back, one that wasn't too aggressive or too defensive. It was all on purpose and Silas knew what he was doing when it came to it, a ploy to make Lily think he wasn't as good compared to the others she had faced.

"Well, let's get this started shall we?" the knight said calmly before slowly shuffling over to his opponent. Even though she was a padawan she looked well built and dangerous. The stance itself even confirmed that Enchani was always a pain to come up against even if it was a fellow Jedi.

Lightly keeping on his feet, he suddenly used his speed to snap forward and send a sidekick into the side of her right thigh to test the waters. His ability to be nimble and fast was going to be key, if he always was faster she was going to struggle to keep up.

The other Jedi didn't seem to hold a formal stance but there was definitely skills and experience in the movements he had. Lily was confident that he would not be a push over in this sparring match. Something that caused her excitement since she was keen to get involved a hard and exhausting sparring match. Pushing oneself to their limits was good in her mind, it would demonstrate how far in a fight she could go and ensure that she survived and where her limitations were when she did fight to the bitter end.

Fighting the Mandalorians had demonstrated she was not a perfect fighter and she was keen on improving her skills till there were few if any that could match her in combat prowess.

When Silas launched his attack, Lily attempted to slap his leg harmless out of the way, however she underestimated the power of the strike. While most of the attack did not land, he was still able to get a decent hit on her thigh. It was frustrating that Lily failed to properly defend herself and she knew she needed to get her head in the fighting mindset. Not be distracted with jokes and conversation. This was not the best display of her abilities and Lily needed to get back into the swing of things. Especially in terms of fighting others.

However, it was time that she launched back her own attacks. Jumping in the air, she launched a front kick from her back leg and aimed the land the powerful blow into his chest. She was hoping that he would either attempt to block it and risk weakening his defence with his arms feeling sore from the strike or fail to block and get the wind knocked out of him. There was a chance he could just dodge but Lily was going to make sure she landed firmly to regain a strong defensive position and ensure he got no advantage from this.
