Description: Wa'Che Taung is an ancient mountain range on the Western continent of Dathomir. Since the event known as the Netherworld Event where millions of people vanished all from around the Galaxy, the mountains have been pulled from the earth and suspended indefinitely by the residual energy released in the culmination of the galactic event that would leave Corellia broken for almost a decade. The rivers that cut through the large mountain range now cascade into seemingly eternal waterfalls with the large craters left behind filling into great freshwater oceans beneath the mountain range. Due to its ancient inhabitants ruins of cities and ancient vheh'yaims with winding underground tunnels and ancient Mandalorian technology. Many of these tunnels have since collapsed locking off their secrets for all but the most tenacious, but have also left the witches there with a plethora of technology that has launched them almost into the space flight age.

Also of note are the strange ruptures or tears that van give glimpses or even lead to significant events like battles or debates. Because of the instability of the tears however, moving back and forth can be a perilous journey for even the most seasoned Masters of the Force and where and when exactly they will lead is a mystery. One may find themselves in the heart of Kwa high society, or on a bloody battlefield in a war between ancient Mandalorians and Witches. Or you may just fall right into the Nether. Its always a gamble.

History: Wa'Che Taung was a mountain range home to the Taung thousands of years ago and the Kwa before that. The Kwa cities had long since been destroyed before the Mandalorians first explored the planet, but the remnants of the pre-Mandalorians' time there are quite apparent with ancient vheh'yaims dotting the mountainous landscape. Evidence of the Mandalorian presence on Dathomir has spurred some experts to believe that the distrust of Force Users in their community was spurred by their early interactions with the Wtiches of Dathomir as they attempted to fortify their position on the still relatively unexplored world.

Before them the Kwa called the mountain range their home. One of the foremost intellectual societies of the time called the sheer cliffs home, leaving behind derelict ruins of ancient libraries, mostly unearthed during the cataclysmic event that would cause the mountains to flout into the air. Since the events of Netherworld an even stranger phenomenon has occurred. There have been reports of the abandoned cities coming back to life. Tears in time and space have allowed brave and foolish individuals to step through time in certain locations. This has also reportedly led to attacks by ghostly figures wearing ancient Kwa and Mandalorian armors.

Flashes of significant events have also occurred throughout the mountain range. Sounds of ancient starships and and weapons firing as well as screams and random conversations have been heard by the Witches.

Intent: To provide an interesting location for wandering Force Users and explorers to have some pretty interesting encounters.
