Vysh-Kolluri is one faceless pharmaceutical company among many and its brand means very little to the average consumer. As its profit margins are consistently in the green, the company is fairly popular among investors. Foolish idealists have been known to object to Vysh-Kolluri's exploitative labour practices and heavy use of indentured servants, but the business-savvy know how profitable such things can be.
While the majority of its efforts are directed towards the development and manufacture of pharmaceuticals, most notably stimulants, it is the large scale synthesis of hypermatter and other forms of fuel that has truly propelled the company towards (relative) fame.
RATIONALE
As a result of Vyrian confidentiality laws, ownership of Vysh-Kolluri is all-but-impossible to discern, what with only the first "layer" of shareholders being public record, almost all of which are shell companies or on a slightly more transparent note holding companies.
It is, however, very likely that the company itself or its shareholders have connections in the upper echelons of Vyrian society, given its near-monopoly on the sale of stimulants to the (infamously drug-addled) armed forces of the aforementioned planet.
