As chaos gripped the galaxy, his planet was no exception, the government had fractured into many factions. Something needed to be done or a civil war would come. Vyse's family was on the rise, and therefore jealousy grew. His mother, the matriarch of the family, had a feeling what may come next. She got a message out to his son, warning him to watch out and should anything happen get to the nearest safe house. He served the secret police only for two years when he was surprised to be tapped to be sent on a Super Secretive and dangerous mission. He knew he was not the most qualified or prepared for this "mission". Thankfully, his mother's last words to him and his instincts manage to save his life. As he walked to the ship with only two men behind him, he waited for them to give him a sign that this was a set up, the hairs were sticking up on the back of his neck, and everything in him told him to run, when he heard a click, he turned around and blasted those behind him as they were drawing their weapons to do him in from behind. His mother was right, he was still alive, but life as he knew it would never be the same. He instinctively rushed to his family's estate, only to welcomed by bellowing smoke and fire. His instincts were to rush in, but as he came closer he could here the voices of those who came to kill his family. Again, his mother's words of warning popped into his head, as he remembered his mother telling him if anything was to go wrong, don't be a hero, get to safety and get their fast. As he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, he reluctantly set off quickly to one of the families safe houses. He immediately activated the safe house droid. The droid gave him the code to signal the other safe houses. There he was, waiting, alone and tortured. Could it be no one else survived??? His only companion was his constant nightmarish thoughts of what might have happened to all his family and now his life without them. Maybe some survived and they were in other places, he wouldn't know until he received word and now all he could do is wait.
After receiving no word, he reluctantly gives in to the to the notion if anyone else in his family had survived but was in hiding, he would have received a sign by now. He collects all the financial resources he needs and takes off on his family's luxury spacecraft. After 3 years, he is finally able to accept what has happened. The experience has hardened him in every way. He wants revenge, he needs justice. Now he can set his plans into motion.
