Strengths:
  • Power: The VT-RAM Disruptor is designed as a handheld weapon that packs a punch. The Blaster, or rather, the Disruptor follows in a long line of Vanir Technologies weapons that are currently being designed and produced. These weapons, such as the SDC 13 and the Needle Disruptor were created in order to fight, and destroy heavily armored targets. The VT-RAM is no different, being designed with the exact same system and even basic function as both of the previously mentioned weapons. The SDC 13's own power disruption system was used for the VT-RAM, enabling the weapon to be incredibly powerful, punching through armor, flesh, and pretty much anything else to the same effectiveness as previous Disruptor weapons designed by Vanir Technologies. This makes the RAM one of the strongest handheld weapons currently on the market.
Weaknesses:
  • Weight & Charge: The greatest weakness of the VT-RAM comes from it's strength. The weapon is insanely heavy for it's size, weight a whopping one and a half kilograms while only featuring a charge powerful enough for eight shots in a single powerpack. Compared to other blaster pistols and weapons of similar size the RAM weighs quite a bit, being unwieldy and difficult to aim while at the same time having only a limited number of shots before running out of ammo. Knocking this weapon is aside and utilizing it properly requires time and experience with handling such a heavy weapon.
Description:
The VT-RAM is a simple continuation of Vanir Technologies current Disruptor Production line.

Much like it's predecessors the VT-RAM was designed as an effective anti-armor weapon, being essentially just an extremely focused and high powered blaster. The RAM works exactly like the VT-Needle Disruptor but on a slightly more impact based ideology. That means that the weapon does not shoot quite as far as the VT-Needle Disruptor, but when it hit's the weapon tends to punch a bigger hole within whatever it struck. Again, like the Needle Disruptor the VT-RAM's Disruptor blast does not cause a 'cascade' effect, meaning it doesn't simply dissolve everything connected to what it hits. Instead the RAM fires a simply Disruptor charge, and whatever that charge strikes is effected.

To put it more clearly, if the RAM hit's a piece of metal, that entire piece of metal doesn't disappear, instead a hole is put into the metal that is the size of the VT-RAM's disruptor shot. This effect was of course first created with the VT-Needle Disruptor and is not at all unique to Vanir Technologies line of Disruptor technology.

This unique effect that is home to Vanir Technologies is brought about to focus the blast of a disruptor, allowing well placed strikes to eliminate heavily armored targets. This works well with Saeva Incorporated and their tendency to work with striking key and critical components of enemy, preferring precision over the blunt force of typical armed forces. It is thus that the VT-RAM follows suit, being a simple continuation of this line of thinking.
