Dovin Basil
Yorik Coral
Yaret-Kor
Strengths:
- Vong: As this thing is an organic biot, it is unaffected by EMPs and other conventional weaponry to render it dead in space.
- Unique weaponry: The Dovin Basil and the Yaret-Kor are pretty rare weapons, most beings have never encountered them and most ships lack highly effective counter measures to them. That doesn't mean they are one-shot pop weapons, it just means they are rare birds that most don't know exist.
- Dovin Basil (again): For someone with a Yammosk, the dovin basil can act as a sort of "autopilot" that grants these interceptors some pretty smooth flying, hive-mind coordination on attack runs and so on. Its all in the wiki.
- Vong: This ship's status as a vong creation gives it some great things--and some great penalties. Parts for this interceptor cannot be found just anywhere. They have to be grown from shipwombs, and those are neither common place nor easy to find.
- Language barrier: This ship hooks up directly into the neural interface, so there is a strong learning curve for those who are used to your "grab it by the yoke and fire away." You can't just hop in this thing and start flying. It takes practice, time, patience, and training. Lots of training. Part of the neural interface is the ship speaks Vongese. If the user doesn't learn this language, its pretty hard to fly it just by mental images.
- Claustrophobia: For those who need more personal space, this ship is not the one. Its as tight as it gets. A regular sized human only has 1 inch on either side and 2 inches of head room. Wookies and other large beasts have even less to none.
- Zero lifesuport: There wasn't room to add the boits that purify air and all that. You bring your own air on this vessel--or learn to hold your breath a really long time....
