"Relax," she muttered, her voice low and rough, hoarse without the modulator. "You're not dead."
Her jaw clenched as she pushed herself off the wall.
Not yet dead, at least.

"Why?"
He managed to croak out one word from where he was sat. He lifted his head to look at his captor.
Then he set his head back down and took a deep breath. He had gone to fight for the Alliance. Instead he had been waylaid by a bounty hunter. It was deeply frustrating, but he was more worried about the immediate situation.
"And by why... I mean all the things. Who even puts a bounty on me?"
