Intent: To Create a pair of goggles for his friend, the Defel, Vexen.
Development Thread:
  • N/A - If required
Manufacturer: Micah | Marrow & Illskin's
Model: Defel Goggles
Affiliation: @Vexen
Modularity: Yes
Production: Unique
Material: Force Imbued Solarium Glasteel, Goggle parts, alchemized purple bantha leather, photo-sensor chips, Defel-Mimicker. Alchemized ink.

Special Features:

  • Pitch-Black Eyes: Anti glare, Photo-reducing, polarized, and contains photoreducing sensors that help compensate for rapidly changing light levels, controlling the opacity of the glass. Solarium Glasteel was the base and retains all the qualities of the material.

  • Alchemized leather strap!: The alchemy helps strengthen the leather and makes it more durable, harder to slice through with a lightsaber with glancing blows.

  • Defel-Mimicker: Used to mimic the appearance of defels as vague shadows, so that the goggles don't stand out and isn't disrupted easily.

  • Hide and Seek! - Imbued and attuned by the Force using Jal Shey techniques to protect the wearer from being discerned through the Force. It does this by imprinting the wearer's presence in the Force across a specific area, making it very difficult for another Force user to discern their exact location.

  • Help line!: In light of the above quality, Micah brushed the goggles with Alchemized bloodtrail ink. This was designed as a way for Micah to find Vex if they were ever separated and she was ever in trouble.

Description:

Vex has very sensitive eyes due to being a Defel. As such, Micah decided to craft her a unique set of goggles for her sensitive eyes.

He crafted them on the basis of dim goggles, which were opaque eye-wear designed to protect the eyes of light-sensitive species from normal sunlight on the surface of most worlds. He used Solariam Glasteel as the base lenses, retaining all of the properties of the material. A photo-reducing sensor was fitted, and they compensate for rapidly changing light levels, controlling the opacity of the glass. They could instantly dim and return to normal as required to prevent blinding or harm to the retinas of light-sensitives. They could alternately brighten, and allow the user to see in otherwise pitch black lighting.

Micah then alchemized a purple bantha leather strap. This would strengthen the leather and makes it more durable, harder to slice through with a lightsaber with glancing blows.

The next step required the Imbuing, which took a full day. Much like the Warden Cloaks, his Helm, and his armor, he did the same here with Vex's goggles, imbuing the it to mimic the Force ability known as Force Scattering. The armor has been permanently imbued by the Force using Jal Shey techniques to protect the wearer from being discerned through the Force. It does this by imprint his presence in the Force across a specific area, making it very difficult for another Force user to discern the wearer’s exact location by imprinting the wearer’s presence across a specific area.

Due to the Force scattering, as a precaution, the leather was then brushed with Alchemized bloodtrail ink. This would serve for one purpose and one purpose only. This functioned as a sort of link, one that was directly connected to the creator, in this case Micah, with the recipient of the alchemized ink. When Vex channels a tiny trickle of the force into it, Micah can instantly pinpoint her whereabouts anywhere in the galaxy, much like a Nightsister Bloodtrail, but not permanently (thats creepy). This was designed as a way for Micah to find Vex if they were ever separated and she was ever in trouble.

To complete it, Micah added a small Defel Mimicker. It was used to mimic the appearance of defels as vague shadows, so that the goggles don't stand out and isn't disrupted easily.
