SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Multi-limb melee and heavy weapons: The droid's numerous arms end in razor-sharp blades, making it a devastating opponent in close combat. It can strike with multiple limbs at once, slashing, stabbing, or grappling enemies to overwhelm defenses. The extra limbs also provide the strength and stability to wield large weaponry that would be impossible for a normal soldier to handle, such as slugthrower miniguns or heavy sonic weapons. This allows the droid to rapidly shift between brutal melee assaults and devastating ranged firepower, making it a threat at any distance.
  • Tail whip / tail-spike: The segmented tail functions as both a whip and a stabbing weapon. It can lash out with high speed to knock enemies off balance, ensnare them, or deliver crushing impacts. The tip may be fitted with an electrified conductor, toxin injector, or retractable spike for added versatility. Its reach allows the droid to strike foes outside the range of its arms.
  • High agility and climb/jump: Thanks to its spider-like design and multiple jointed limbs, the droid can scale walls, cling to ceilings, and leap across obstacles with ease. Its body is built for sudden bursts of speed and surprising angles of attack, allowing it to strike from above or behind. This agility makes it exceptionally dangerous in urban environments, confined corridors, or uneven terrain.
  • Stealth / infiltration: The droid's design supports covert operations, with silent joint servos and armor plating that reduces noise. Its systems can mask its heat signature, making it harder to detect with scanners or thermal optics. The limbs allow it to move quietly across surfaces, including climbing to hidden vantage points. Some models may even use light-bending panels or active camouflage for near invisibility during infiltration.
  • Adaptive AI: The droid's combat software is designed to learn and evolve during battle. It can analyze an opponent's tactics in real time, predicting attacks and adjusting its own strategies accordingly. The AI prioritizes exploiting weaknesses, such as targeting injured limbs, disrupting formations, or countering repeated attack patterns. Over time, the droid becomes increasingly efficient and lethal the longer it engages a target.
  • Advanced Sensor Suite: The droid is equipped with a sophisticated array of sensors that allow it to track and engage targets in nearly any environment. Thermal imaging sensors detect heat signatures through smoke, darkness, or cover, while nightvision optics provide clear vision in total darkness. A built-in life-form scanning system can identify and track biological entities, even when concealed behind obstacles. Ultrasonic scanners map the surrounding area using sound waves, giving the droid precise awareness of movement and structural layouts. In addition, a visual weapon detector scanner analyzes shapes and profiles to identify concealed arms, explosives, or other threats. Combined, these systems give the droid unmatched battlefield awareness and the ability to hunt down targets with relentless efficiency.
STRENGTHS
  • Durasteel and Beskar armor – Extremely durable frame resistant to blasters, explosives, and even most lightsaber strikes.
  • Cortosis integration – Capable of shorting out lightsabers on contact, giving it a major edge in melee against Force-users.
  • Phrik reinforcement – Lightweight but tough alloy woven into joints and weapons, maintaining agility without sacrificing defense.
  • Multi-limb weapon systems – Equipped with blades for melee, but also capable of wielding heavy weapons like slugthrower miniguns or sonic cannons simultaneously.
  • Tail weapon versatility – Whip-like appendage can trip, crush, or pierce enemies at mid-range, with potential shock or toxin delivery.
  • High agility for size – Despite its mass, it can climb walls, cling to ceilings, and leap across gaps using spider-like limbs.
  • Advanced sensor suite – Thermal vision, night optics, life-form scanners, ultrasonic mapping, and weapon detection provide unparalleled situational awareness.
  • Stealth systems – Noise-dampening joints and heat-masking armor make it capable of infiltration despite its bulk.
  • Adaptive AI – Learns opponents' tactics in real time, countering repeated patterns and targeting vulnerabilities.
WEAKNESSES
  • Very heavy build – Size and weight reduce overall speed compared to smaller droids or living opponents; makes transport difficult.
  • Power-hungry systems – Advanced sensors, AI, and heavy weapons consume massive energy, risking overheating or short power reserves in prolonged battles.
  • Limited stealth in open combat – While silent in infiltration mode, its bulk and glowing optics make it easy to spot once engaged.
  • Vulnerability to EMP/Ion weapons – Despite layered circuitry, ion grenades, disruptors, or EMP strikes can disable or impair its systems.
  • Mobility constraints in tight spaces – Large frame and wide limbs may struggle in narrow corridors, vents, or confined structures.
  • Predictable resource use – Suppressive fire with miniguns or sonic weapons can be devastating but drains ammo or energy reserves quickly.
  • Target priority – Its intimidating size and power make it an obvious high-priority target for heavy artillery, snipers, and coordinated squads.
DESCRIPTION
The VEX‑D6 "Harbinger" stands over three and a half meters tall, a nightmarish fusion of jagged armor plating and spider-like limb articulation. Its frame is constructed from a durasteel skeleton overlaid with beskar plates, giving it near-impervious resistance to blasters and most lightsaber strikes. Thin filigrees of cortosis weave through its joints and seams, capable of disrupting lightsaber contact, while phrik reinforces high-stress areas like limbs and tail segments for flexible yet durable movement.

The droid's six main arms are dual-purpose: each can deploy razor-sharp blades for melee or wield heavy weapons such as slugthrower miniguns and sonic cannons. A long, segmented tail extends from its rear, tipped with a spike/whip hybrid capable of tripping, piercing, or delivering shock or toxins. Its optic sensor glows a dim red, recessed within armored housing, and incorporates multi-spectrum arrays for thermal, nightvision, and life-form detection.

Angular plating covers every exposed surface, minimizing vulnerable areas while deflecting incoming fire. Its low, forward-leaning center of gravity provides stability, making it difficult to topple even under Force-assisted attacks. Internal circuitry is heavily fortified, with redundant processors, backup power cores, and energy shielding. The Harbinger moves with a chilling combination of deliberate menace and precise agility, a living embodiment of Nexus 1's vision for a droid capable of confronting Jedi, Sith, and any high-threat opponent.
