Vesta is a youngish woman with pure white hair, any number of strange scars, and a minimal sense of social convention. She has no real income, apart from a small clan stipend in gratitude for services rendered.
BIOGRAPHY:
Vesta Rekali began her professional life as a bright young explorer and researcher, a talented scout with unquenchable curiosity. She weathered her initial contacts with Vahl cults and Nightsister clans, and began to gain a reputation as a dogged examiner of the uncomfortable. No one incident turned her hair white or made her a coward. She simply acquired, bit by bit, a wholly natural degree of paranoia. Once too often, an awful fascination compelled her to take one step too far into the darkness.
As a member of Clan Rekali, she participated in various operations, including the construction of the first Rekali worldcraft. She fortified them against clearly valid threats such as starweirds.
During the rise of the Mandalorian Empire, Vesta participated in the Clan Rekali councils on Yavin IV. She spoke against the schism and declared that the 'you're not a true Mando' debate was idiotic; as a result, she proclaimed that she wouldn't participate in any potential war.
Her opinion changed, however, when Aliit'buir Ember Rekali was killed by Saverok, a Gen'Dai Dark Master who had sworn allegiance to Isley Verd and the Mandalorian Empire. That Saverok was a rogue agent meant little to Vesta. She realized that the Mandalorian Empire had set up shop in the former territory of the Primeval. Clearly, Verd's followers had been contaminated and suborned by the influence of eldritch gods and their cults. Taking command of one of Ember's starships, the stealth frigate Defiance -- sister ship to Verd's Ferocity -- Vesta set out to determine the truth and keep otherworldly influences the feth away from her clan.
