SPECIAL FEATURES
• Compatible with X-CL Ammunition
• Strong shot
• Triple Barrel
Strengths:
• Geometry: A lightsaber exists in a line, while the three shots form a plane. The shots are sized well enough that it's extremely difficult for a lightsaber to block more than two out of the three shots at a time, greatly increasing the chances that the third will pass through.
• Tough Stuff: X-CL is a powerful form of ammunition. One shot can do a good chunk of damage, while three(if you can land them all) can make a significant hit.
• Different Stuff: One of the advantages of the X-CL ammunition is it’s variability, allowing the user to customize it’s load to suit different objectives.
Weaknesses:
• High Maintenance: Firing three pieces of exotic ammo at a time makes Vera a very expensive woman to take care of, making a hunter’s wallet grow weary.
• Reload: You thought that reloading the Emissary was bad? Try individually reloading 18 cartridges in the middle of combat. Even a customized speed loader will take significant more time than a traditional revolver, let alone a standard blaster.
• Thick: Vera’s got it where it counts, and lugs around a few extra calories as a result. A good hunter must be strong when handling her, lest his aim suffer as he gets weary.
• ‘Dem Hips: With an eighteen cartridge cylinder Vera tends to stick out a bit on the sides. This attracts all the right, and wrong, attention. Good luck getting through a ‘civilized’ spaceport without local authorities getting jealous of the lady at your side.
• Jealous Suiters: Even though Vera is near guaranteed to get a blaster bolt past the line of deflection, there still happens to be a problem with the other two high-powered bolts flying around. Hopefully they haven’t been thrown back at you. Sometimes though, you’re just not that lucky.

DESCRIPTION
Vera is an amalgamation of a trio of Emissary Revolvers, in an effort to overcome Lightsaber Deflection issues through simple geometry. The triple barrel design along with variable and high-powered X-CL ammunition allows the gunslinger an advantage in taking care of would-be-deflectors everywhere, making it very likely one of three bolts will bypass the line of deflection.

Vera is not without her faults though. Vera cannot be concealed under normal circumstances, and her weight makes it difficult to fire accurately, especially over time. Additionally most planetary governments aren’t keen on the amount of firepower she packs, and legality in many worlds is questionable at best.

As for it’s intended target, well it still has a host of issues. While a blasterbolt is near guaranteed to get through a lightsaber deflection, there’s still the question of the other two that have been deflected. A skilled Jedi or Sith may take a hit from the weapon, but be able to punish you twofold for it’s use.

Overall Vera is a powerful force, with intriguing potential that Kael sees as extremely valuable.

Another clever way to deal with lightsabers. My only complaint is that some of the wording makes it seem like the triple shot is absolutely impossible to block. While that might be the case in practice, we tend to frown on the use of absolutes in submissions. So lines like this-

-will have to be reworded to allow for uncertainty. Ultimately, it's up to the person being shot at to decide whether or not it the pistol worked as advertised.

May I ask why the wording offends? I was careful to word it in a way that never mentions it actually hitting a person, just passing through a deflection of a single lightsaber.

Even that's up to the writer being shot at. You can state what you intend for it to do, but when it comes to what happens on their end, it's entirely up to them. Saying definitively that a bolt will pass by their blade unblocked takes that out of their hands.

That's how I'd word it. You're basically saying the same thing, but without forcing the other writer to do anything. It's still plenty clear what you're trying to do, and if the other writer tries something stupid you've got a leg to stand on to get them to fix it, but the decision is still in their hands. Remember: no submission, no matter how powerful, can force another writer to do anything.
