- War is religion - The Nova Guard and most Ailons as an extension all believe in war as a form of religion and thus fight war for the sake of war. Not due to any real hatred and even if Veneras was bored with an opponent he would find a way to flair them back up again so he could continue his glorious fight.
- Emotions aren't needed as a soldier - he has very little in the way of emotions and has been known to not even care if all his men die so that an objective can be completed.

BIOGRAPHY:
Veneras was born to fight, to kill. So this was what he excelled at. So much so he killed the beast of gargul when he was around about 8. The creature had slayed many a ailon including his parents. So when he was 7 he left to slay the beast by himself. By the time he returned he showed off the beasts carcass as he paraded it around. It was said that when people looked at him he seemed to show no emotion at killing the beast. Where most would have been joyous Veneras was simply neutral.
This showed through his military career as he would often do anything including losing a whole platoon to simply achieve the goal whatever that might be. This was on of the main reasons that although he was experienced enough to be a general he was left as a captain. Not that Talstag cares enough to want to advance anyway.
