Varian Dyre, often known by his alias Avenger, is an Imperial Spectre tasked with the preservation of Imperial Order and Stability by any means necessary. He is mostly renowned for his resourcefulness and leadership. Varian Dyre views his service to Imperialism not as a shun to his family's legacy but as the only means to preserve it.
Dyre was born to a wealthy family - an engineer-turned-industrialist father and an activist lawyer mother. From an early age, Varian picked up an affinity towards mathematics and technology and was recognized as an industrious and bright kid. Educated in the finest schools of Coruscant during its time as a prosperous jewel of the galaxy and capital of the old Galactic Alliance, his mother's activism rubbed off on him and Varian was drawn also to humanitarian studies such as philosophy and political science.
As the scion of a wealthy, capitalist family and an only child, he was destined to inherit the family's corporate holdings designating him to pursue higher education in business administration and engineering as it synergized his natural inclination to S.T.E.M and likeness of the humanitarian studies. However, his studies, as his ordained future, were cut short..
Battered by all sides, the Galactic Alliance's demise culminated with the Razing of Coruscant by the Sith Empire. Miraculously surviving, Varian's life was never to be the same again. Losing both his parents to the Sith and his future to grief, the young prodigy was left with nothing but a void in his heart and a burning need for retribution.
In his pursuit for vengeance, he joined the Commenori Rebels against the Sith, using his large trust fund to sponsor the cells with resources, and served with honors among the insurgents as they drove the Sith off the world. Yet, their victory had been short-lived - any semblance of a return to normality in the power vacuum left behind was shattered by infighting. His growing disillusion with democracy, individual freedom and rights - all virtues and values practiced and preached by his parents - culminated in a near-total erosion during that period. If democracy failed to save them from demise, then democracy had failed.
When the Core Imperial Confederation was established, Varian was quick to enlist in its ranks. He would not remain long in the rank-and-file, partially due to his name and partially due to his wits and capabilities, and was soon drafted into the CIC's military logistics branch before transferring to its military intelligence. The highlight tenure of his service within the CIC's mil. intelligence was his enrollment in its Force Hunting program specializing in combat against Force Users.
As the winds of change shifted once more to another direction and the Core Imperial Confederation was dissolved, Varian found himself in the midst of a growing plot of Sith-Imperial officers seeking to coup the Sith and establish an Empire. Spearheaded by Irveric Tavlar, the New Imperial Order was born and through it - Varian's purpose to preserve his family's legacy was reborn.
