Vaporizing Raindrops all day long [Idiian Sayali]

Rain could be heard, as it hit the ground, flying through the open roof of a large building on Rysil II. The roof was part of a small house that was attached to the main structure. The whole house was the house a young Ex-Jedi Knight called Hayato had grown up in. Many years ago, a small Hayato had been running through the rooms and corridors of this house, now a grown up Hayato was striding through them, looking for a place where he could settle down and do some training. As he was walking through the rooms he remembered days long past. Days from a happier time, when he was still united with his parents. He continued so until he saw the one room he had trained in as a child. The room whit the open roof. When he looked at it, memories of him and his father reappeared in his mind and he could almost see him and his father, repeating the same movements again and again and again. Those memories made a smile appear on his face. But enough of the past, it was time to train.

A couple of hours later, Hayato was still repeating the techniques. He had taken a couple breaks to regain his strength, but he had kept training for those couple hours. By now his clothes were completely soaked by the rain and he had most likely caught a cold. He was still jumping around and moving acrobatically through the air and on the ground. His blade was roaring through the air, vaporizing every single drop of rain it passed by or came in contact with. Hayato was almost completely oblivious to everything around him. He was too focused on the training and execution of the movements and he would most likely not notice it if anyone interrupted him, even though he had let the Templars know where he was, so that if anyone needed something from him they could come to this place and talk to him about whatever they needed help with.

Idiian had only recently become an apprentice amongst the Templars. She had yet to receive any sort of training in the force or lightsaber combat- heck, she hadn't even built her lightsaber yet. Instead, since her arrival on Rysil II, she had been watching her new Master, Hayato, practicing his lightsaber techniques in the atrium. She leaned against the corner of the room, memorizing Hayato's stances and movements as she watched- where he stepped during a technique, where it would strike an opponent, Idiian committed it all to memory. It was a bit of a habit left over from how she had been raised; Echani put a great deal of emphasis on reading their opponents stances, and while Idiian herself hadn't used Echani marshal arts in years, the one thing that had really stuck with her was reading her opponents and fighting back accordingly. Something much easier to do, of course, if she had been seen the techniques being used dozens of times before.

After some hours, though, Idiian got tired of seeing the same techniques repeated for so long. Of course repetition lead to muscle memory and smoother technique, but that was really only beneficial for the one doing the practicing. Eventually, Idiian pushed herself from the corner and spoke up, interrupting Hayato's practice to ask a question.

"So, is this what my training is going to be like the entire time?" Idiian asked, her arms folded across her chest as usual. "'Cause I could get the exact same training from a holonet vid."

It was probably time to stop training by now. He was already training for the last couple of hours. He would just finish this one maneuver and then he would stop training, but that was what he was telling himself for the last two hours now. He then proceeded to jump into the air and get ready for a downwards slash, when he suddenly heard a voice call him from out of nowhere. He hadn't expected anyone here right now and thus, his jump turned into a chaotic fall. His feet met the ground and he immediately slipped and fell backwards. For a moment, he felt complete calmness, in the next, he felt immense pain from fall. He kept lying for a second, just letting the rain fall onto him, soaking his clothes even more. He just kept lying down for a second, recovering from the pain he felt during the fall, then he sneezed. It was apparent now that he had trained too much. He was already getting sick. The sneeze was proof of that.

''I'm fine, no need to worry about me!'' He said. Then he sat up and looked towards his apprentice. ''So what did ... ha .. ha ... HATCHEW.'' he had sneezed again. He really needed to stop training in the rain. It wasn't good for his health. ''Anyways, what were you saying?'' He said, finally standing up and walking towards his apprentice. Then bowing and saying ''Oh yeah and, welcome to my humble home.'' followed by another sneeze.

Idiian winced as Hayato slipped and fell backwards, the impact from which looked like it would have knocked the wind out of most people, and when Hayato didn't get up right away, Idiian thought he might have really hurt himself.

"...Are you alive over there...?"

Her question was shortly answered by a sneeze. Seemed that her master had spent too much time soaking up rainwater. Idiian sighed in relief, even before Hayato's verbal confirmation that he was fine. When her master asked what she had said before he fell and welcomed her to his home, Idiian thought that maybe Hayato had hit his head in his fall after all- after all, she had been watching him there for hours. How could he not realize she was there?

Idiian looked at the structure around her, the attached home included, before responding. "Yeah. Humble," Idiian said, nodding to the side to indicate the very room they were standing in, which was certainly not anything that she would consider humble, from the standards of anywhere she had lived, from Tatooine to Coruscant, regardless of how plain the decor might have been. "Right. Anyways, I was asking about my training. Specifically, if watching you practice was the extent of it."

Hayato was surprised. He had not noticed his apprentice watching him this whole time. He had always thought he was completely alone here, but according to what his apprentice said she had been watching him train. He was guessing she was here for at least ten or twenty minutes, probably not much longer, otherwise he would have to wonder why she didn't interrupt him earlier, but that was not important anymore. From what she had said last, he deduced that she wanted to be trained in something. He was not sure what to teach her though, so he decided to just ask ''Well, of course not. I'm just not sure what to teach you yet. Do you have anything you would like to learn? What I mean is, do you have any particular thing in mind? Or do you have a general idea of what kind of fighting style you would like to be taught?'' He asked as he went through all the Forms he knew and tried coming up with some kind of fighting style that suited a short Bounty hunter like his apprentice.

When she had been asked what kind of training she wanted, Idiian just cocked an eyebrow. How was she supposed to know what to start with? She had literally no experience with the force, neither interacting with force-using clients nor chasing force-using targets. "Honestly, I have no idea where I even want to start. I don't even know what the first step would be," Idiian answered, shrugging as she spoke. "You're the one who's been through this before. Where did you start?"

Another sneeze. Man, Hayato must've really caught something. He looked pretty exhausted as well. He might have to take the next couple of days and rest to recover or to get to full health again. Note to self: Never train in the rain again. He should've known it was a bad idea, but he didn't care. To him, training was one of the most important parts of life. Training, learning and drinking, because one should never forget what was best in life. But nevermind that, his apprentice needed training and that was more important than his own training. After all, she was his first student and he didn't want to kark up. ''Uh, right. Do you want to hear the story from the beginning or from when I became a Padawan?'' He chuckled. ''Nah, I'm just kidding. I'd say you would first have to learn the basics of the Force. Telekinesis, basic swords play, building your own Lightsaber and all the other basic Force abilities.'' He said. For a couple moments he remembered his own time as a Padawan, under the guidance of his own teacher. Sometimes he missed those days. Everything had seemed so much easier, so much more simple, but there had been drawbacks too. For instance he hadn't been as powerful as he was now and he certainly wouldn't have met so many new people and made so many new friends if he would have stayed with the Jedi.

Idiian swayed back slightly as the next sneeze came, partially out of reflex, and partially because she didn't want to catch whatever cold her master now had. It wasn't the brightest idea to train in the rain to begin with, never mind for as long as she had watched him; She knew why people did it anyways, but she still felt it wasn't worth getting drenched like that and falling ill. From the way Hayato looked, Idiian doubted he could do much physically for a while, at least without further risk to his health. It would be bad if he got more sick, too, so maybe they should do something that, well, was best done indoors.

"Well," Idiian started, walking towards her master to help him inside, should he need it, "We probably shouldn't do anything too physical today. It'd be best to learn that when you're feeling more healthy." Besides, that would pretty much exclusively be lightsaber forms, and she didn't have one of her own yet. "Maybe we should start with that building a lightsaber thing?"

''Hm.'' He said, then moved his hand to his ever-growing beard. Though it did not rival the likes of Carn Dista, he would at least look better than some of the Clone Troopers with said beard and maybe, someday he will even be worthy of a comparison to the great Carn Dista. For now he had to settle for his light five o'clock shadow. It was a rather unimpressive and a bit messy looking beard, but it made him look a bit more mature. Beards tend to do that. Especially beards like that of Carn Dista. That great man was probably one of the manliest men in the Galaxy. Hayato could only wish to have his beard reach that level of epic awesomeness, though he knew that day would never come. ''Yes, a Lightsaber would be a good start. I know a good place where to make one. Follow me!'' He said with an excited and enthusiastic tone. Then he wandered off, further inside the house. Every here and there visitors could see that the house had been rebuilt not too long ago, though Hayato was already used to it. After a while he entered a room filled with flimsi books, datapads and one or two Holocrons. From there he took one of the datapads and handed it to his apprentice ''Here, study this while we're on our way to Rodia, where we'll pick up the crystal for your Lightsaber.'' He then turned back to a small crate, which he opened and grabbed inside ''I should have some Lightsaber parts lying around somewhere here, uhm ... hm ... ah! There they are.'' He pulled out a small, rectangular box and handed it to his apprentice. ''Now, let's go to my ... wait, did you come with your own ship? If so, would you rather travel on that one?'' He said while walking out the room and then moving on towards the exit.

As instructed, Idiian followed Hayato as he wandered off into the house. The room they first came to a stop in had a collection of datapads and flimsi books, and even a few Holocrons. Idiian took the datapad that Hayato handed her from the collection, and began looking through it as he continued looking for what sounded to be lightsaber parts. It didn't take long before they were found- Stored in a small, rectangular box which was handed off to Idiian. It was then that Hayato started to say that they should head to his ship, before thinking about how Idiian got there, asking if she'd prefer to take her own.

"Yeah, I guess I would rather take mine," Idiian started, putting the datapad on top of the box to make it easier to carry both. "Though if you still want me to read this thing," Idiian held up the datapad, waving it about a bit before setting it back down atop the box, "You're gonna need to play pilot. Hope you know how to fly Corellian."

''Doesn't your ship have an autopilot?'' He asked. Hayato had never really piloted any ship except for his Defender-Class, but that one had an autopilot which would do most of the work for him, since he himself was a terrible pilot. ''Ah, nevermind, I'll figure it out as we go along. You just read that datapad. It has the basics on how to construct a basic Lightsaber. Read it and I'll teach you the rest once you're done.'' With that said Hayato went out the exit and then stopped, turned around and said ''Oh yeah, I'll teach you the basics of Telekinesis while we're on the way to Rodia.'' Then he continued towards some random direction through the rain that kept falling. He had to sneeze a couple times and then, in the middle of his excitement, he finally realized ''Wait, where's your ship?''

Right. Autopilot. Idiian knew she had forgotten something last time she had taken the Twilight Omen in for maintenance; The Auto-Pilot on the ship had been fried some time back when Idiian had gotten caught in an ion storm. She had become so used to flying manually in the month or so since that she had forgotten to bring it up when she last had the ship taken in for routine maintenance.

"Haha, yeah, there's a not-so-long story about that," Idiian responded, specifically to the question about her ship's autopilot. "What matters is that for the time being... No. It doesn't have autopilot." When Hayato said he'd figure out how to fly as they went along and layed out what Idiian should be doing during the trip, Idiian was kind of curious as to how Hayato was going to teach her Telekinesis while at the ship's helm. "Wait, you got a datapad on Telekinesis, too? Or are you going to try multitasking, teaching me how to move stuff with my mind while piloting the ship?"

When Hayato asked where Idiian's ship was, she snapped her fingers and pointed towards the opposite side of the house. "Yeah, I landed in a clearing about half a kilometer that way. Didn't really want to bother with docking fees at a landing platform." That and she had no idea what customs were like on the planet- Namely how much of a fit they would throw over the small armory that Idiian had in the ship's hold.
