Strengths:
Vanquish, the Lightsaber constructed by Laira Darkhold for her use throughout the War with the Sith Empire. The hilt is made of finely crafted and engraved and Force-Imbued Madog Steel with a engraved gold hilt guard, and red stained Manka-Cat leather wrapped around the handle of the weapon to reminder the princess of her homeworld while she wandered the galaxy.
The hilt is made from an ancient Je’daii metal created by legendary Master of Vur Tepe Tem Madog, and later rediscovered by [member="Ijaat Mereel"]. It has been properly tempered and tested to be receptive to the Force of the one it is attuned to, not only making it Lightsaber Resistant to a degree but also so that it would only feel right in Laira’s hands, others holding it might never find a comfortable grip or might find it unbalanced to their perception because of this. It also allows her to imbue the blade with the Force, much like any standard Force-Imbued blade allowing it to harm and affect spirits and demons summoned by the Force.
The blade is projected through a refined and polished white and metallic colored Krayt Dragon pearl, giving the energy blade a shining silver edge and white central core. Like many Lightsabers it features a dual phase setting allowing the blade to adjust from a standard long sword style to a shortened shoto with a simple twist of the handle; a bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse to allow the weapon to function underwater; faraday caging around its electronics to provide limited resistance to Ionic interference; an adjustable power output, adjustable blade length settings, and a biometric pressure grip tuned to Laira and those of her family as standard modifications made from the baseline Lightsaber design.
What makes Vanquish special is not its appearance but its function. Lightsaber wielding warriors in the modern age have found themselves encountering more and more opposition utilizing powerful materials such as beskar, phrik, ultrachrome, and yuuzhan vong biots which limit a Lightsaber’s offensive capabilities. To compensate for this Laira included a small secondary discharge powercell situated above the primary diatium powercell in the handle. Based off information on Exar Kun’s lightsaber and more modern ones based off it, Laira is able to activate the discharge powercell in order to vastly increase the cutting power of the blade at the cost of destabilizing it. While Overcharged in such a way, the Lightsaber blade has been known to cleave beskar, phrik, and other normally Lightsaber resistant materials with much greater ease, such as slicing through beskads and electrostaves or leaving melted furrows in ultrachrome armor, as well as being able to overwhelm the power fieldshttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Power_gland projected by vong biots which allows the Lightsaber to damage those lifeforms much easier. Items treated with significant applications of Sith Alchemy are normally too much for this blade to cut or sever, however some of the simplistic applications which provide only the basest forms of lightsaber resistance and increased durability can still be cut.
This overcharge will completely reduce the energy within the secondary powercell in under a minute, regardless of how much it cuts through or how long it is in contact with with another object as the massive surge in cutting ability has a similar increase in power consumption. This power setting also destabilizes the blade, rendering it unable to deflect blaster bolts and other similar energy projectiles like a normal lightsaber.

- Non-Dimetris Circuitry: In its normal use, the blade is not affected by Cortosis as a normal Lightsaber would be.
- Force-Imbued Blade: With concentration and effort, Laira is able to channel her Force potential through the weapon so that it’s blade is able to harm spirits, demons, and other Force related apparitions.
- Overcharge Capacitor: Much like Exar Kun’s lightsaber and several modern versions, Laira’s Lightsaber is able to surge in cutting power for a short period of time, allowing it to cut through the likes of Beskar, Ultrachrome, Phrik and the like with relative ease while also rendering it able to overload Yuuzhan Vong Power fields much easier than normal Lightsabers, making it plausible for the weapon to cut through Vonduun Crab Armor and Amphistaves compared to normal lightsabers.
- Active Imbuement: The Weapon is more attuned to Laira’s presence, but it is not inherently imbued with her power. She must concentrate and use it to focus her presence through in order to allow it to harm spirits, demons, and apparitions.
- Power Drain: While the blade can be overcharged to cut beskar, phrik, songsteel, and other Lightsaber resistant materials, it drains the power cells in short succession. It can only maintain this type of power for about Thirty seconds without changing the power-cells out. The blade may remain active, but it will not be able to amp its wattage again until they can be replaced.
- Blaster Bane: When Overcharged, the Lightsaber’s blade becomes modulated much like that of one designed to deflect Ssi-ruvi Paddle Beamers, making it unable to deflect traditional Blaster Bolts in this mode.
