[Valhalla Federation] New friends, New contracts (RC 212)

Aboard Ice's Esfandia Class Corvette, he welcomed aboard his newest friend and business partner RC. "Come on in. Please. Have a seat. Can I get you anything to drink?" He offered, gesturing to the bottle of whiskey and couple glasses nearby. Normally Ice didn't drink before a new contract was made. But in this case, the contract itself, was only a legal detail. They both already knew what each other was expecting.

"Absolutley."

RC sat down and poured for himself and Ice two glasses of whiskey. Ices office was plush and it had a nice lighting to it. soft but not too soft. RC removed his helmet setting it on the table and swilled the whiskey before taking a slug.

"So you already know why I'm here. The Mercenaries Guild is going to need some of your weapons and armor buddy. What do you have available to us?"

Ice happily took his glass and took a long swig of his whiskey, savoring the taste and even the burn as it went down. With a satisfied grin, he nodded to RC. "Only the best my friend." He said as he pulled up a datapad with a few items. Sliding it over to him, he let him have a look. "I won't be able to supply a whole army, but then, we don't have an army....yet." He added with a smirk. "I'll be providing equipment for our mainline troops as well as our special force teams. For our mainline troops. I got our "Firewalker" armor, S.E.A.R., and "SS-M"."

"For our elite fighting units, the ones that will be doing our most diifficult assignments. They'll be getting just about everything. First, the "Mirage" armor, then the "SS-7" rifle, the Sheer Silence for getting into places unheard, the No-Show, to finish off getting in unseen. And last but not least, also the "SS-M" for their side arm."

"For the unfortunate side of our line of work, I'll also make sure we have a good supply of "FM-9's" on hand. Does that still sound good to you?"

RC looked over the manifest and nodded as he read the various elements. They seemed to all be developed on a stealth basis with the Firewalker armor being an obvious asset for the normal day to day firefights. But something seemed missing. Invisible toys and such had their perks as did flame resistant armor and snipers but Rc needed firepower, and lots of it.

"I like these how much will you be asking? Keep in mind we will only have a small amount of funds from the Federation treasury allocated to us for now. In the future as we expand operations we will have significantly more. I'm looking for firepower, heavy weapons. I'm talking tin can suits and big karking guns."

Ice smirked at RC. "You see those Firewalker and Mirage suits? Those things may only look like exotic looking medium armor. But they can hold up to energy weapons like blasters, particle beams, plasma grenades, lightsabers, and anything else of the like as well as almost the best powered armor suits....or just as well as the tin can suits you're mentioning. Yet still maintain, high flexibility and light weight. Against slugthrowers, it is still rated as medium armor. But then, we won't be facing to many slugthrowers. So it's not much bother. As for big karking guns. All the weapons I'll be providing are particle beam weapons. In addition to the normal damage, they inflict secondary low yield explosive damage against the target. m It's practically like firing little mini grenades every time you pull the trigger."

"Granted, in the long run, we will need something bigger. I do have a design for a small, mobile, yet lethal short range artillary piece. I think you will be most pleased with it. But until then, this is what we got. We'll have to go get a contract with some outside companies for heavier items for the time being. As for payment, pay me what you can. We'll call the equipment an advancement. We can also take part of the cost off the top of what our troops are getting paid. If they want top of line gear upfront without having to shell out anything, they can afford to pay their fair share. Once our resources and income is more stabilized, then we can shift to a cash for equipment policy. When we do, I'll give the Valhalla Federation a 15% discount on all future items."

He took another sip as he waited to see if these terms are acceptable. Fortunately, he was still government funded from Shadow Empire. So he had a little wiggle room to do this sort of thing.

RC nodded.

"Sounds like we got a sweet deal. One more thing, can you create grenades? We might need a multitude of special grenades to work with as well as explosives."

RC took the datapad preparing to sign the required documentation.

"Payment can be provided after the first haul, I don’t want to take from our Guild members."

Ice agreed. "Very well, just so long as STI gets paid for the equipment. Otherwise, I won't be able to keep making more." He chuckled lightly as he stated the obvious. "As for the grenades. Yes. My "artillery" piece that I mentioned before, is essentially a grenade launcher. But it'll have a range of 1500 meters. At least that is the goal. As a portable grenade launcher though. I had already planned on adding a large selection of specialty grenades to STI's repertoire. We're just not quite there yet. But soon."

Taking the datapad back for a moment, he made the adjustments mentioned to the contract, and then slid it back over for RC to sign. While he did so, Ice continued. "I also took the liberty of loading my ship with the first batch of equipment. So we can start setting people up right away."
