  • Intent: To give Valen a pet companion native to the world of Kashyyyk.
  • Role: Companion & Scout.
  • Permissions: N/A.
  • Links: Mykal.

  • Age: 1 GSY.
  • Force Sensitivity: Untrained Force Sensitive.
  • Species: Mykal.
  • Appearance: The Mykal is a native species of Kashyyyk, a small avian creature that some consider being part of the wider draconic family of the beast, notable for its purple skin, red eyes, large cranial crest and wide arching wings.

  • Name: Yucco.
  • Loyalties: Valen.
  • Notable Possessions: N/A.
  • Personality:
Yucco is an aggressive yet small predator that has become attached to, and protective of Valen. He will often meet newcomers by screeching and hissing at them fiercely in warning, however should Valen show no sign of fear or intimidation, then Yucco will pick up on this and let his guard down.
For hostiles or other predators, Yucco will seek to distract them in order for Valen to gain the advantage and finish the immediate confrontation. Outside of combat, the Mykal will act as a scout from up high.
  • Training:
    • Fetch/Gather: A Command given by Valen, instructing Yucco to retrieve an item or object that would otherwise be out of reach.
    • Scout & Alert: The ability to scout from greater heights and relay the creatures findings back to Valen through a shared connection in the Force.
    • Tracking/Hunting: Using it's wild instincts and sense, the Mykal can track and prey on smaller creatures, as well as signs of life left behind by others.
    • Force Sense: The ability to detect a threat nearby, or other Force Users with a significant presence.

  • Force Bond: Connected to Valen through an unusual bond within the Force, the typical wild Mykal has become fiercely loyal and protective of him. Though untrained in the force, it's wild talents come with some interesting qualities such as enabling Valen to connect with, and sense/see as it does.
  • Scout Hunter: Yucco is capable of tracking smaller prey and bringing considerable harm to an individual with his razor-sharp talons, however the Mykal is best put to use as a scout, taking to the skies to alert Valen of persons in the immediate vicinity, or moving on ahead to scout out an enemy outpost.

  • Aerial Scout: Yucco provides exceptional vantage from the skies, able to provide Valen with greater insight as to what or who is in the surrounding area, or otherwise scouting out a location prior to Valen's arrival.
  • Force Bonded: Valen and Yucco share an unusual Force connection, usually found in person to person relations, he and the usually wild Mykal share a means of communication and understanding through their strengthened empathic bond.

  • Small Threat: The Mykal is a smaller avian creature roughly the size of your average canine and does not possess the strength or means of taking down larger predators. Compared to a typical human, the Mykal may be able to harm them with its brute force head crest, claws and talons; However, a heavily armoured foe would prove difficult for Yucco to kill, let alone a group or squad.
  • Close Range Combatant: The Mykal does not possess any ranged capabilities able to combat the likes of a blaster or other aerial combatants and is largely considered to be a scouting asset, therefore vulnerable to being shot at while in the air.

Following his entry into the ranks of the
Sith Empire, Valen was tasked with a test to prove his courage and will-power. Sent back to Kashyyyk, the Acolyte was instructed to spend several days upon the capital world of the Silver Jedi Concord, his former home, remaining within the shadowlands and concealing his presence for the duration of the venture.

The intention behind this test was to ascertain the boy's loyalty to the Sith Empire, to risk his proximity to the Jedi and to validate his claim of holding no real attachment to them. Would he turn and make contact with the Silver Jedi, or would he remain isolated from his former allies and obey his instructions to the letter?

During his time within the shadowlands, Valen was forced to defend himself against the vast wildlife within the forest depths, and such was the reason for his finding the Mykal struggling to do the same against the ferocious and horrid Wyyyschokk, a large and dangerous species of spider also native to Kashyyyk.

With Lightsaber in hand, the Sith Acolyte was successful in slaughtering the beasts and defending himself, however, the Mykal had been gravely wounded and fallen. It was perhaps out of weakness that Valen sympathized for the creature, and by drawing the force from the wealth of life surrounding them, he used his control over the Force to be channelled back into the creature, healing its wounds and inadvertently creating a Force Bond between them.

Pretty nice. Just a couple things:

Please include links to the aforementioned factions.
