FENCER: Champion of fencing competitions during his teens, he wields a signature vibrosword with the elegance and profound style
CUNNING: Sly as a fox, always two mental steps ahead of most of his adversaries
DECEITFUL: Lies, lies and only lies. Having grown up in courts of Cinnagar, very early in his life he learned presentation was more important than substance
AMBITIOUS: Ambition is Valefar's primary driver; he has a need to become someone due to his inferiority complex
BIPOLAR: Valefar suffers from a serious mental condition with interchangable periods of mania and depression. He consciously chooses not to treat it.
SOCIOPATH: Impoverished moral sense, little regard for feelings and well-being of others, especially if he has no use of it
OBSESSIVE: Intrusive thoughts keep him awake at nights, so he rarely gets a good night's sleep. Currently, his biggest obsession are Sorcerers of Tund
BARKING MAD: Sometimes he just laughs with no real reason, mostly to whatever the voices in his head tell him - may be eerie to most people
APPEARANCE:
Valefar is lean and wiry, with a well-balanced ratio of muscle and bone sculpted into a slender frame built for endurance, rather than sheer strength. He bares himself like the title he assumes; inconspicious but noteworthy. His garments of choice are knee-length tunics in dark greens, ample shoulders often adorned by sumptuous capes. The choice of materials and fine ornaments that encrust his robes suggest affluence, but also exquisite taste.
BIOGRAPHY:
Valefar is the child of Valad, the third marquise of Cinnagar, and a young maid who used to serve in household of Valin, Valad's father and Conscriptor of Royal Laws serving the Empress. Valad was only sixteen when his son was concieved, during one summer when he went back home for holidays from Naval academy. Given this mishap, Valin sent the girl away after she gave birth to a healthy boy and kept the child a secret until his son would return to their estate a year later. He then presented Valad with Valefar, his brother. The child was to be raised as Valad's sibling, rather than his son, so that Valad may complete his education and marry a wealthy bride his father intended.
Valefar was raised as second in line for title of marquise, with all the benefits and amenities the title implied; he was sent to a boarding school where he excelled in philosophy and art, fencing and other dalliances young nobles of Cinnagar entertained themselves with. He would've enjoyed his picture-perfect teens if it weren't for that night on the eve of his fourteenth birthday when he tried to strangle one of his female friends for not wanting to kiss him. The wardens managed to prevent what would soon have fatal consequences, with Valefar shaking and twitching manically as medical staff shot a tranquilizer into him and knocked him unconscious.
