- Heavy Weaponry: The Vainglorious Class Cruiser packs a wicked hook, with an arsenal of several heavy laser cannons backing the firepower of its powerful turbolasers to threaten other capital ships in a head to head battle.
- Go Ahead, Hit Me Again Maybe I'll Feel It: Its hull reinforced with additional layers of durasteel and the framework of the vessel outfitted with additional alusteel support beams, the Vainglorious is a ship capable of withstanding heavy punishment in the event its shields fail. . . . though its not recommended anyone take free hits to confirm this.
- I Have You Now: Fitted with advanced targeting computers and updated to run modern tracking software, the Vainglorious Class is able to lock onto enemy signatures more quickly and its weapon systems much more capable of swiveling to follow them if they are within their range of fire.
- Fat For Its Size: A little. . . .big boned as a result of its frame and hull being thoroughly reinforced with added durasteel and honeycombed for better structural support, the Vainglorious as a result suffers in speed compared to other ships its size, though it is by no means sluggish. While others in its weight class may outpace it, it certainly does well in keeping ahead of those ladies larger than herself.
- Few Weapons: While the Vainglorious has heavy weaponry, it sadly has a smaller number of weapons overall and as a result has less frequent outgoing fire, though it does have good coverage.

Description: Once a premiere warship during the period running up to the Clone Wars, the Vainglorious Class Cruiser was a leading starship in an era where the Galaxy Found itself mostly at peace. With the Republic governing a majority of the galaxy and its navy disbanded after the Ruusan Treaty, the entirety of the problems in the galaxy were left to be handled by the Jedi Order under strict supervision from the Senate. The sole attempt to reestablish the Navy failing with the disappearance of the Katana Fleet left the galaxy once more with little militaristic presence. In response, the "warships" of the time consisted of ships on loan from the Trade Federation, variations of the Corellian Consular Class, and Rendili Stardrive's own Vainglorious Cruiser.
Used by Planetary Defense Forces as well the Judicial Department of the Republic, the Vainglorious Class Cruiser saw the most action in the Stark Hyperspace War just prior to the invasion of Naboo. Seen in both the Stark Combine's Fleet as well as Ranulph Tarkin's Paramilitary Force, the Vainglorious time was short lived as the Clone Wars brought the return of fully stocked navies and larger warships yet again. An aging defender of Rendili space and other planetary defense forces, the Vainglorious slowly phased out though never truly disappeared. As is obviously the case now.
A sturdy and rugged build, the Vainglorious has always boasted good armor for a ship of its size yet was hampered by weak shields and slow speeds. While the latter is certainly still true, the Vainglorious has found itself outfitted with modern shield generators with a supporting power plant to bring it into the current era. Carrying heavy weaponry as well, the Vainglorious role is still one of a warship, meant as an escort to ward off pirate attacks as well as to support larger cruisers and destroyers in battle. Its arsenal consisting of two heavy turbolasers facing forward the Vainglorious heartily bears down on any enemies foolish enough to sit in front of it.
However, its true threat is in its advanced tracking ability inherent in the point defense systems and its array of heavy laser cannons. With three dual turreted weapon emplacements positioned around the ship to give it full coverage, though preventing all fire able to be directed at the same location, the Vainglorious can obliterate enemy starfighters that stray too close and quickly target missile runs made on it to defend itself. A capable corvette sized vessel, the Vainglorious has always been a favored ship for police forces defending against pirate raids. Now refitted, it is Rendili's hope it returns to the fold of the galaxy to find appreciation once again.
