PERSONALITY

Vade is a principled yet questioning Jedi, shaped by loss and guided by a deep commitment to justice. Though loyal to the Jedi Order, he often challenges its decisions and seeks a deeper, more personal understanding of the Force. Calm and introspective, he balances his disciplined Echani upbringing with the contemplative teachings of the Order of Shiraya. Beneath his composed exterior lies a growing unease—born from witnessing suffering and feeling the limits of the Jedi’s role.

STRENGTHS

Insightful:
Vade doesn’t follow blindly. He reflects deeply on the nature of the Force, the role of the Jedi, and the complexity of justice. His introspection helps him see shades of truth others might miss, making him an insightful advisor and careful decision-maker.

Tactical: His training and life experience have made him strategic under pressure. He often anticipates conflict before it escalates and approaches each mission with a careful balance of logic and intuition.

WEAKNESSES

Authority Issues:
Though loyal in principle, Vade often questions the legitimacy and priorities of those in power—even within the Jedi Order. This skepticism can lead to isolation or mistrust, and may push him toward dangerous alternatives when he feels the system has failed.

Stubborn to Principles: Driven by a need to right wrongs, Vade sometimes takes on more than he should. His desire to protect others and correct injustice may lead him to act without full understanding—or to disregard Jedi protocol in pursuit of a perceived greater good.

HISTORY
Vade Taharin was born to a pair of Echani security officers stationed on the city-world of Metellos. Raised in a culture where combat was as expressive as language, he inherited a disciplined awareness of movement and intuition. His life was irreversibly shattered when the Brotherhood of the Maw launched a devastating invasion of the planet. In the chaos of the Battle of Metellos, both his parents were killed, leaving the young Echani orphaned amidst the rubble of war.

He was discovered and taken in by Jedi Knight Madari Jann, a Naboo-born Jedi who sensed potential in the boy—not only in the Force, but in the calm focus beneath his grief. She became both mentor and guardian, raising Vade aboard the Vonnuvi, a colossal Ithorian herdship that housed a Jedi enclave dedicated to peace, healing, and balance. His Jedi training was unorthodox, rooted in introspection, nature, and Nabooan philosophies, blending seamlessly with the precise, emotion-expressive traditions of his Echani heritage.

As Vade grew older, Madari brought him back to her homeworld of Naboo during a period of great unrest known as the Cataclysms. There, amid swirling chaos and lingering dark side energies, Vade distinguished himself during the Second Cataclysm. Whether defending innocents, standing firm against corrupted forces, or maintaining serenity under pressure, he proved his readiness. His deeds earned him the rank of Jedi Knight, a recognition not just of skill, but of spirit.

Following the formation of the Royal Naboo Republic, Vade pledged himself to the Order of Shiraya, a Naboo-based Jedi sect devoted to harmony, wisdom, and civic guardianship. This alignment, steeped in the lore of Naboo’s moon goddess Shiraya, helped Vade forge an identity that wove together his Echani discipline, his Nabooan tutelage, and his lived experience of loss and survival. Now, as a full Knight of this Order, Vade stands as both protector and philosopher—an emissary of peace forged in violence, and a voice of reason raised from the ruins of war.
